Today is 5/27, the day I should receive my belongings as I was told. The window for delivery is 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and I have yet to hear from the driver nor from u s relocations, the "broker". So, I called to get an update and wouldn't you know the person I needed to speak with is no available for another two hours and I still can't get any update. This is about the sorriest communication experience I have had in my 71 years of existence. If I have to ever deal with this type of experience again, I will call it quits lol. This was an incredibly stressful and unsatisfactory experience. When I booked the move I told them I had a 2 bedroom apt with a 15X15 storage unit - filled with pre boxed items. The furniture on the order form looked fine and it said up to 50 moving boxes various sizes but when the crew - mostly 1 guy got there he said the cubic feet was not accurate and told me to pay almost double the price to move it all. The sales guy puts that # in so I trusted whatever he put in. In the end the furniture was moved but Not 1 box! The truck was ordered for me and no other pickups 3/4 of truck was empty but they wouldn't move anything.... I paid for 50 boxes to be moved but that didn't happen! I have to now figure out how to move the rest of my stuff and pay someone else all over again! I told them I thought they were scamming me and I didn't want to go further but they said they would keep $1400 deposit so I felt cornered to do whatever they said. Then at delivery they got confused - threatened to not deliver and when I told the guy on phone I thought this entire company was a scam and my move was inaccurate- he told me he was red flagging Me for being a scammer and I had to pay $755 cash right now for what I had Already paid or he would take my furniture. The Only saving grace of the whole move was the 1 guy mover - Mike I think - who kept his cool and tried to appease the situation. Mike is the reason for the 2 star otherwise 0. Petrino Moves stated that they own the trucks and the people that drive the trucks and pack your items are all employed by them. This is on true I contracted with them paid 1/3 of the contract price on the scheduled day of my move, RIGOS DELIVERY AND MOVING SERVICES showed up. The driver along with two helpers packed my items I could tell that they were packing in a way that would create much more cubic feet than my quoted original contract. They took my clothing items out of dressers, etc., and box them not once did Petrino Moves call me or communicate while my items were packed and in a warehouse for days I continued to contact Petrina Moves asking when my items would arrive at my new address they continually told me that they would have to contact their dispatcher which was never available. I was then given days later, the dispatchers name and number when I called her she said my items would be delivered anywhere between seven and 14 days from that already five days after packing and shipping to a warehouse. I will also add that the Packers claimed I had a large amount of extra cubic feet added to my move, which cost me over $2500 more. I continued to contact the dispatcher concerning my delivery date. When my items finally arrived Across America Van Lines arrived with my items. (a third ) I was immediately informed that I had to pay cash, Zelle or money order before they would remove any of my items from the truck . None of which was communicated to me from Petrino Moves. Again, I want to state Petrino Moves did not communicate with me throughout this entire process. I continually had to contact them. I have not heard from Petrino Moves. Regarding this move. They're a broker & will rip you off for more money that you'll end up paying a lot more. Movers will say they don't have enough room on their truck for loading all your things even though they were listed. Any excuse just for more money this is how they rip you off then the guy in the office quoted me a quote after they deliver the furniture but then told me it was $200 more. You can't trust these people & I'm still waiting for my furniture to be delivered. I wonder if I'm going to get it but this company actually cost me more than my two hotels I stayed at, more than my home inspection, more than my home appraisal & more than my escrow so go figure!!! Please do not use them unless you want to go broke it's a low ball offer quote they give you at first but then it gets higher & higher after that. I will never hire this company again!!!!!! I had a very frustrating experience with Petrolino Moving and would not recommend them. Moving is already stressful, especially when relocating over 15 hours away, but the lack of communication and professionalism from this company made the process significantly more difficult than it needed to be. From the beginning, the sales process felt very typical of high-pressure moving companies. I was pressured to make a decision on the spot by being offered a "discount" if I signed during that phone call. This created a sense of urgency to commit before having time to fully think things through. I was drawn in with assurances that later turned out to be inaccurate or incomplete, and throughout the process I received conflicting or unclear information that made it hard to know what to expect. I was told by Alex that my driver would deliver my belongings on a specific day and that I would receive a call the day prior to coordinate the delivery. That call never came. Because of this, I had to call the main office number myself to try to get an update. Alex told me to give it some time and said to call back if I still didn't receive a call. I ended up calling Alex three separate times during operational hours, and none of those calls were answered. Another major issue was learning on the day of pickup that my "guaranteed" delivery timeline was not actually possible. While I understood that expedited delivery would cost an additional $1,200, the real issue was being told this at the last minute--when all of my belongings were already packed and ready to be loaded. At that point, I felt like I had no real option but to move forward. When I expressed concern about not having access to important items, one of the representatives responded by saying, "That's why we tell you to pack important items separately." This came across as extremely dismissive and rude. Not only had I never been told that beforehand, but the comment shifted the blame onto me for something the company failed to communicate. When a customer is already in a stressful situation and simply asking for clarification, responding in a way that implies it was their fault for not knowing something they were never told is unprofessional and frustrating. To be clear, the crew that physically moved my belongings was very kind and professional, and I truly appreciate the work they did. My concerns are not with them, but with the way the company is managed and how communication with customers is handled. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and unnecessarily stressful. If I could put 0 stars I would. I'm beyond myself with this company and the amount of stress and loss it's caused me. I beg of anyone reading this to PLEASE Stay far away from Petrolino Movers. These people have ROBBED ME of all of my savings. They held my items hostage when it was time to deliver my things. They wouldn't release it unless I paid a kings ransom. Mind you, I ended up taking LESS funituree than what was originally quoted!!! The price just kept creeping up and up and up. By the time they got my things to me my price went from $6,389 to over $15,600 dollars!!! It took 8 weeks for my things to arrive when they promised 2-3 weeks max.... Every time I called it took 20 attempts to get someone and they were just rude and dismissive. Zero customer service. I retired, on a fixed income, and wanted to downsize to save money. I'm live in a 1 bedroom apartment. There is no way it should have cost that much. I feel completely violated and empty! read more

They talk a good game but unfortunately they don't tell you everything. they say you can pay with your card for the service so we paid half for the deposit, made a payment for when they picked up my stuff at a storage unit which I thought I paid for the movers to pick my stuff up but my son and I were the one to take our stuff to the their truck so they can load it. They 2 guys only went into the storage facility once and that was to see what was in the unit. When our stuff finally made it to the destination the truck drive told me he couldn't get his rig to my unit in the apartment complex and was telling me he would have to take it to a U-Haul place unload my stuff into a U-Haul truck then deliver to my apt and that I would have to pay for it. I told him their is no way I'm paying for it and told him he has plenty of room for his truck to make the turn if he went the other way after arguing with him and asked him to try it my way guess what he was able to maneuver his truck and make it work. He then tells me I have to pay cash or Venmo the balance before he unloads my stuff. Not once did Pertrolino say that's how the payment procedure goes. And again I thought I was paying for mover to move my stuff and here I am moving boxes AGAIN. Once my stuff is inside my wife started to unpacked her standing jewelry cabinet that we wrapped with the wrapping plastic that someone had used a box cutter to cut the plastic and leave a blade knife cut down the front of it and take some of her jewelry. Boxes we smashed and boxes that we label THIS END UP in big black sharpie letters were all upside down. For them to say we will take care of your property is a lie. They say they are an in house moving company and done sub out to anyone is a lie cause the drive of the truck confirmed that. So if anyone is looking for a moving company I would stay away from this one. The only thing that was positive was talking to Alex as he was the only one who was professional. To: Petrolino Moves LLC; Safe Ship Moving: This letter serves as a formal complaint for damages resulting from severe negligence, breach of contract, and willful mishandling of my personal property by Petrolino Moves, LLC. These actions occurred while my belongings were in Petrolino Moves possession following my move-date and occurred between May 26, 2025-July 8, 2025. On May 26, 2025, Petrolino Moves LLC picked up my personal property. My contract through Safe Ship Moving Services began my nightmare experience. Safe Ship explicitly stated that my belongings would be cared for by "antique moving specialists," "stored in a climate-controlled facility" and "delivered by June 26, 2025," as I opted for one month of storage. I was also told by Safe Ship that it would only take "two days" for me to arrange delivery of my personal belongings at a time convenient for myself. In addition, I was given a low-ball offer and 3 days before my move, QC called and stated that Nathan, the original sales personnel, was inexperienced and they needed to increase my fee, which almost doubled the original estimate. Nothing that I was told was true! Moreover, this agreement was willfully breached by Petrolino Moves LLC. Instead of receiving my property by the contracted date, it was not delivered until July 8, 2025. During the period between June 14 and July 8, the company made and subsequently failed to show up for four scheduled delivery attempts over a three-week period, causing significant inconvenience and financial loss. When pressed, I was told by one of the drivers that "they did not have enough trucks to fulfill their delivery jobs." It is also obvious that my belongings were wrapped and unwrapped multiple times while in their possession because of the extensive damage and scuffs. Upon delivery, it was immediately clear that my personal property had been subjected to extreme and willful negligence--damage that well exceeds poor service. The condition of my personal property was inspected and confirmed by a damage estimator, whose report I will be submitting with this complaint. The estimator stated that the damage revealed storage in a wet, humid environment, as evidenced by swollen and discolored wood on my furniture and severe breakages due to what the estimator and myself believes to be storage in an outdoor environment. A strong chemical-like smell and the presence/smell of mildew coming from my boxes and fabric items kept me from being able to inhabit my new home for 3 weeks. Specific damages include, but are not limited to, the following: * Water and Mold Damage: All my boxes and furniture show signs of severe water damage, with visible mold and mildew growing on many items, including my artwork. The smell from the once soaked boxes was so strong that it made me physically ill and rendered my new home uninhabitable for three weeks due to the health hazard it posed. My wardrobe boxes, which were confirmed to have been stored outside, had been saturated. My artwork, clothes and furniture must now undergo specialized chemical treatment to prevent the spread of mold. My oriental and area rugs need special cleaning as they too were stored outside in the elements. When unrolling them, bits of leaves, berries, pine needles and twig pieces fell out. There are areas of mud on the rugs as well. * Rodents nesting in boxes: Please see pictures of rodent nest in boxes. * Structural Damage to Furniture and Appliances: My sofa was left standing in water, is stained with grease, and has been crushed. A large hole and cavity with missing stuffing was found in one of its arms, suggesting deliberate and nefarious mishandling. The skirt has definite water marks, and the sofa bed portion is no longer functional. Five antique pieces of furniture were severely broken, including an irreparable vintage library table that was snapped in half and a desk that was delivered in multiple pieces, a settee with an arm broken completely off, a severely scuffed coffee table, and an antique game table damaged where the drawer will no longer open. The control panel on my washer was also almost completely broken off and my vacuum is no longer operational and is missing attachments. * Damage to Contents and Theft: A sharp, pronged object pierced multiple boxes, breaking numerous dishes, cups, and antique serving platters. Furthermore, the packing crew entered my personal belongings and stole $300 in emergency cash. This theft constitutes a criminal act. In addition, I am missing multiple boxes: a custom lamp shade, a box of craft supplies, a laundry room box, and two boxes from the primary bedroom. *Forced to pay for tow truck and shuttle: Dwight the delivery driver misjudged a small incline getting his truck stuck. They would not offload my personal property until I paid for the delivery and tow/shuttle-costing and additional, unexpected $1500 for which he would not give a receipt. I cannot express enough how deeply dissatisfied I am with Petrolino Moves. The experience from start to finish has been nothing short of a nightmare. First, they assured me over the phone that if I paid $70 per TV to have the movers pack them, they would be covered if damaged during the move. This was a blatant lie. Not only did they fail to properly handle my belongings, but they also sent the wrong truck on a cross-country journey. Someone else's things were driven from Maryland to Washington state, only for me to be told there was nothing that could be done about the wrong shipment and delay after I had already been waiting two weeks and had taken time off of work to accept the delivery. When I finally managed to get in touch with a representative, they promised a $500 discount off the delivery fee. However, when I spoke to the manager, she completely disregarded this offer, telling me that we "didn't deserve" any reduction in our bill, and that if the issue were escalated to her, no compensation would have been offered. Meanwhile, we were stuck on the other side of the country, living without our belongings, sleeping on an air mattress, and eating out every night because of their incompetence. It only gets worse. They insisted that our items had been delivered, and refused to believe me when I explained that my belongings were still missing -- until I mentioned I had an Apple AirTag in one of my boxes. That's when they reluctantly acknowledged that my things were still in their warehouse. After 3 weeks of waiting, my TV arrived damaged, and the claims department's response was an insulting $31 offer for a $650 TV. Thankfully, the shipping brokers who hired Petrolino Movers on our behalf were able to step in and get us a more reasonable settlement -- $150 for the damaged TV, but that's still far below what it was worth. As for the $500 delivery discount, Petrolino Movers did eventually honor it, but only after a significant amount of back-and-forth. The fact that it took so much effort to get what they had promised speaks volumes about their customer service. The lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic decency from this company is staggering. They are rude, inconsiderate, and downright unhelpful. The person in upper management, in particular, was infuriatingly dismissive, and frankly, they should be fired for how poorly they handled this entire situation. If you value your time, your belongings, and your sanity, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Petrolino Moves. read more

David came out and provided an accurate estimate for a complicated move (trips to two storage units, a house, and small time slot to use a "freight" elevator for an apartment) and executed it perfectly. THEE BEST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVERR!!! My family and I moved out last year and had THE WORST experience with another company that handled our things carelessly and unprofessionally. But the guys from Petrolino Moves, they were phenomenal! Dave, Jose and Fernando exceeded my expectations. We just moved again yesterday, 8/31/19, and they arrived on time and ready to go. Brought materials with them to wrap up and protect our furniture and TVs so they wouldn't get scuffed up during the move. They handled our belongings like you would your own. They were very organized with how they packed the truck ( the most impressive packing skills I've ever seen). They were professional in every aspect of this process which was very stressful on my family and I. They unloaded everything in the new house and even helped put some of the bigger furniture back together for us! I'm jus completely blown away and i couldn't recommend a better moving company to help you with yours, honestly. 11 out of 10 stars, I highly recommend them to anyone seeking help with moving and want a stressless transition!!
