There has been instances where I'm hearing there work drama. Maybe do that off the floor so customers don't hear? Dog training: 5 stars. Very helpful when my dog was a puppy. Grooming: 3.5 stars. I've had so many issues, I groo. My dog on my own. I'd pay extra for a dog grind and then his claws are sharp. So I started checking before I leave every time. And hair cuts gets funky depending on who does it. I just do it cause it's better than getting upset. Banfield: 5 stars. Every person I've encountered their has been helpful. Any miscommunication's taken care of asap. Super helpful and explains everything so well. Great recommendations even if I don't purchase things from them. read more

Grooming; was scheduled on Tuesday, received a call for reschedule the next day at 4pm. Ok cool. Got to the store 10min late on reschdule appointment day, was told that I was late and could no longer be taken in. Left pretty confused, irate and frustrated. Got home called the store to figure out what was wrong. Talked to manager, manager said he'll figure things out and call me back. Manager called back and told me to come back cause now they have time! Did I miss something here!? Save yourself from a store where people want to get paid but don't want to do work. This place is great. I prefer going to PetSmart over Petco simply because of the selection. PetSmart has such a wide variety of pet supplies that other pet supplies stores either do not carry or do not have in stock. I have never had an issue finding something that I need when coming to this store. Tip: Sign up for their loyalty program. It is so helpful. If you made your purchase and entered you phone number, say "so long" to those paper receipts that get lost or thrown out. Your purchase will remain on file and if you need to make an exchange they can just pull up the purchase with your phone number. read more

I just got out from PetSmart and I just have to say that it was best experience i ever had! My dogs Gyzmo and Ivy are so happy and well pampered. Erika it's the best. She did an amazing job. I am a proud father of 2 adorable dogs. One of them is a Labrador Retriever, his name is Charlie. He loves just about everyone but he REALLY loves Erika F., one of the groomers at this location. She was so attentive and caring. This review is long overdue but she definitely left a lasting impression with me. This review is for the Turtle and Fish department. I came here on a saturday night to get turtle food for my RES and shes picky about what she eats. Unfortunately its hit or miss if Petsmart is carrying the brand she likes in turtle food. They didn't have what i was looking for this night. They did have her 2nd favorite food in stock but i did notice that alot of the slots were empty in the turtle section. Maybe they needed to stock it and it was close to closing time. The deal breaker was that they had about 8 feeder fish (Medium) in each tank so a total of 16 feeder fish. The sizes of the fish was super inconsistent and i didn't feel like paying for medium size but getting small feeder fish. Also an employee was standing right next to us and never bothered to help or say anything about the quality and size of the feeder fish they had in stock. Misti ( my turtle) will now have to wait for bi-weekly treat of having some goldfish neighbors in her tank to play with. read more

I have been going to this location since I moved to Anaheim six years ago. It is stocked well, clean, friendly service, list goes on! I have been taking my Pug here many years for baths. For 18.99 you get a bath for your pup, as well as as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and an anal expression. I take my Chug as well. Sadly, both these dogs always seem to need anal expressions. Yuck. You also get a report card with your visit to know how well your pup did or what they need work on. Staff always has been friendly. My only complaint is that they don't sell the good, healthy dog food brands but none of the major chains seem to. They may sell canned Merrick and Wellness which I get, but it is more expensive. They also don't have Fromm at any of these stores, so I go support our local stores that we love that have a nice variety of good dog foods and cheaper prices. read more

This is a nice PetSmart location. It is located across the street from Buena Park Downtown (Mall) in the same center as Kohls, Michaels, Dollar Tree & Toys R Us. PetSmart always has a good selection of treats and toys for your pets and sell a variety of pets themselves such as birds, hamsters, mice, fish, lizards etc... This location has Banfield inside so they do have a veterinary clinic on premises which is nice as our dog needed this once before due to an allergic reaction he had while in store. The grooming is quite reasonably priced and also includes other amenities such as anal expressions, baths, nail clipping etc... My only drawback for PetSmart is the fact that the food brands they carry are not high on the health scale and those high end brands must be purchased elsewhere. If you need small odds and ends for your pets such as chew toys, tags, flea medicine this place is fine. If it's upscale you want then you need not apply. The location is nicely setup, everything is spaced out with plenty of room to move and the aisles are easily marked by brand. The service is friendly and the store is clean and well kept. We will continue to come here for small odds and ends for our family pets. read more

She was acting very frantic and told me to come pick up my pup immediately because he was having stomach problems due to stress. The WHOLE TIME she was referring to my MALE pup, she would call him a "she". Even after I corrected her!! Do you even know what kind of dog you are taking care of lady?! Do you even pay attention!? What kind of in-personal service is this?! On top of that, when I arrived at Petsmart to pick him up, I spoke with his vet at Banfield to check what was going on, and this woman was yelling at me and throwing hands while I was speaking to the vet about the health of my dog!!! They carry top quality food & of course the more affordable food like Purina etc. I buy brands Royal Canine & Blue Freedom Grain Free. I couldn't be happier with the results! My dog's digestive system is great & my doggies are healthy & happy. All of the dog food & treats I've bought here are fresh & they keep the food well stocked & organized! The employees including Manager, Ms. Ronnie go the extra mile to help you with your questions and needs. They also have a great return policy on everything---specially if your dog doesn't respond well to a certain brand of food. I do my own dog grooming & I purchased the Andis Ultra Edge Special Edition Clippers here & the extra blades. Andis are top quality clippers & work great on my Bichon Frise & Mini Poodle. However, the shampoos, grooming sheers & combs are expensive here & are usually poorly stocked. The Martha Stewart brand on these grooming essentials is expensive & is very poor quality! I had no issues with Petsmart in returning Martha Stuart poor quality sheers. This store is also very clean, nice & the parking lot is spacious! read more

We been coming to PetSmart a long time for most of our pet needs, but we truly love coming to get our 3 Rottweilers groomed by Erika. Ever since we found her, we won't take them to anybody else. One of our big babies that weighs in at 118 lbs has many special needs that ONLY Erika can do. Dogs will let you know who's good and who it's just a job to. Erika is a true animal lover and she shows it in every way by the way our babies act when they see her. She's hands down the best groomer we've ever had. She pays attention to all the details of each dog and let's you know exactly what she's doing and what might need attention to your dog when you pick them up. We have been repeatedly disappointed in the veterinary care our puppy received at the Buena Park Banfiled location. We do not like the way they take the dog to the back room without us to provide care. How do we know they are actually provide the treatments and running the tests they say? How do we know they are being gentle with our puppy? During two different rounds of our puppy's vaccines , that we were able to witness, they had to stick our dog multiple times before they could administer the vaccination. Their shots left our puppy very sore for days. Our puppy was sick and was not getting better. After two visits to the Buena Park location we took our dog to another location and he was finally diagnosed with a serious illness that required lots of antibiotics. I would never bring a pet back to Banfield. I will discourage every pet owner I know from using PetsMart and Banfield. They do not have your pets best interest in mind. They are a money making scam preying on people's emotions. DO NOT ENROLL IN THEIR "Wellness Package". read more

She also described things that she put on him and she is just in love with puppies and dogs. Would recommend going their with Erica, will be going there still with Erica. EXPRESS Pickup is the way to go! I like coming here, but I seem to waste a lot of time walking up and down the aisles. Really, I should go in, get what I want and leave. I was online and noticed that you can order pet supplies online, and have them waiting for you at the store. So I ordered a huge variety of cat food, cat and dog treats, and $60 later, I checked out at 4:45 pm on a Thursday. About an hour later I get an email saying my order is ready for pick up, and to bring a copy of my confirmation, my driver's license or ID, and the credit card I used to purchase the stuff. I walked in at 6:00. Unfortunately there's no sign on where to go to claim your pickup, so I went to the lonely cashier. Of course, as soon as I got to her line, 3 customers queued up behind me. I asked her where to go, and she said I was in the right spot, and whipped out a tablet to find my order. The cashier found my order, grabbed a cart and placed my 4 bags of supplies inside. She handed me my receipt, and I was out the door within 15 minutes. It's located across the street from the Buena Park Mall, tucked across the parking lot from Kohls. Plenty of parking at this location. Its a bit depressing, as there's only 3 stores left standing in this strip mall. Office Depot is gone, and the Toys R Us has a big sign that says store closing. All that's left is the neighbors: Michaels and Dollar Tree, which seems to be doing ok. I don't know if my PetSmart Rewards was used, but the fact that I had "express" service waiting for me is justifiable in forgetting it this time. read more

I have taken my Maltipoo twice to Veronica. she treats my puppy so well and Shaquira is getting use to her. She communicates with me well about my puppy's progress (getting use to grooming) she respected that I didnt want her to look like a puff ball due to blow drying...and it looks great n so soft. she also spotted tht my pup had an ear infection...perfect timing..because I had a cat appt right after. If I could give a zero for customer service I would. I don't really shop anymore because the customer service everywhere is sub par. I ventured out today but sadly Ishouldn't have. I was at Petsmart on LaPalma in Buena Park around noon today 12/28. The associate at the register was very nice. She ran out of change and was unable to give me what I needed. She let me know that her manager was on his way to give me what was owed. The manager walked up with a bunch of money but didn't acknowledge my presence. Of course he didn't have on a name tag. I let him know I was waiting for my additional money. He had a lot of money in his hands so I assumed he was bringing the needed funds. He didn't acknowledge me but headed to the back. I waited at least 6 or 7 minutes. That doesn't seem long until your waiting for something. When he came back he refused to look at me and only talked with the sales associate. He asked her to count the money and then he counted the money. I waited until he was done counting, still with no acknowledgment, and let him know I needed the remaining money. He looked at me with a very distorted, red and sweaty face and yelled " I am counting!!". I am not sure what warranted that response but it was entirely unacceptable. I'm sure you don't care but I won't be shopping with Pesmart anymore. Not sure why you are hiring the people you are hiring but they are rude, entitled and disrespectful. Thank goodness for amazon. So normally I haven't had any issues with this PetSmart, but this time OMG!! It started when I took my dog to get groomed on his pre-scheduled appointment time and when I get there they tell me that the schedule got changed due to the Christmas hours, but they didn't notify of the change. So I stressed my dog for nothing. I told store manager about my displeasure. She did give my dog a free toy that day, but she also told me she would give me a 15% discount when I brought my dog back today. Well when I was about to check out I told the cashier that the manager told me that I would get that discount. The cashier told me that the manager had to be there to confirm what I told them, but she had already left for the day. I'm soo disappointed this had happened!! read more

Although the grooming is good, record keeping and reservation taking is horrible. Each time I go they ask for rabies certificate and each time I bring it they tell me it's now on file. Recently I made an appointment for my 2 large dogs. When making the appointment the clerk repeated the wrong date twice (which had already past) I advised her no were past that date and verified the following Friday. She chuckled and said yes of course. Well when I show up for my appointment I was advised I didn't have one. They checked the file and stated I was supposed to be in last week!!! I would give Karina the groomer 5 stars-- she's very good. But this review is for the other groomers.. Diana took my Peaches for a cut and when I picked her up she looked terrible .. And she took a poop right when we walked out!! So they said she was uncooperative and needs some training asap. Shes 5 months old and when I took her a month ago she did wonderful with Karina and looked so beautiful. She must have had to poop so bad the entire time and wouldn't hold still!! Why didn't they stop?! Why didn't they call me?! A few days later I notice a raw pink area near her tail.. They cut her!! Now she refuses to let us touch her anywhere near her bum ;( She's only 5 months and I really don't want her to be terrified to go there!! Such a nightmare experience.
