    my daughter and I went to look for our betta at this store and more than half of their fish were either sick or dead. the dead fish water were yellow meaning these fish had been dead for quite some time, do they not check on their fish daily?

    Aquarium and stand purchased from Petco.

    Purchased a 29 gallon aquarium and stand from Petco. Both were on sale and very affordable. Staff member who helped us with our selection was exceptionally helpful.

    Good- Location is great Bad- Everything is so expensive in this store. Ugly- Staff isn't always knowledgeable about products.

    Just finished a six weeks Petmarts training class in Conroe for my new quarantine pup, Coco. I'm terrible with people names, and I could probably tell you all the dogs names in the class, but I think our instructor was Rachel (?). My pup and I looked forward to it each Saturday at 1:00 and she made sure to address all our questions and make recommendations for even the most unusual questions (my fur baby apparently has a strange fear of heights - even 2' off the ground!) My goal was to learn how to keep Coco safe, stay focused on me and my voice and learn some basic commands. She exceeded my expectations and I'm really appreciative of my instructors expertise. She noticed a lot of behaviors that I simply didn't know. Coco is the first puppy I've had in almost 30 years and my first puppy I'm rearing alone. My others have already been adults when they were rescued. I encourage anyone with a new furry friend to sign up for one of Rachel's classes - I'm really glad I did this.

    I walked in the store with my return item in a dark blue reusable polyester fabric bag I purchased from Amazon and my spider pet costume was inside along with its tags. I decided to go check out clothing pet items first to see what new items were in stock. I was in the last section which is right across the front desk vet clinic. There was a store associate with a shopping cart to my left in that same clothing area where I was at. I was contemplating on a TopPaw burgundy overall dress with an oatmeal colored sweater. I had my return bag on my left forearm, my car key on my left hand. I grabbed my iPhone 11 ProMax from my purse back pocket (same size). The store associate that was to my left eventually asked me if I needed anything as she was walking past behind me with her cart and I looked towards her and answered her "no thank you." "So you don't need any help ?" "No I don't need any help." I wondered why she asked me twice, perhaps she didn't hear me the first time as I had a mask on. At the register I showed an assoc my cell phone as I placed it on the conveyor belt and had the receipt scan bar in view. With an attitude the earlier assoc who was standing near the young ladies register said she wasn't going to accept my return item because I was back there and she saw me with my bag. I was so confused. My bag ? I asked. I told her I have my receipt right on my cell phone and it shows the item I bought from this store and I have the item in this bag. She said she won't accept the item and if I don't like it to take it to corporate. I told her that if my bag was an issue at the store she could've told me that and not approach me so rudely about it at the register but she didn't have anything else to say except "sorry." But no, she wasnt genuinely sorry. My first thought was that she was a an unprofessional store assoc but I was in shock when she said she was the store manager after I asked for one. I realized she was accusing me of stealing and how could she if I'm at the register trying to do a return for an item I have a receipt for. I left the store in shock, in disbelief of what just happened and I was so embarrassed at how she treated me. If she is the "store manager" why would she approach me and talk to me like that and falsely accuse me of something I didn't even do. I decided to go back to the store to do my return as I knew I was in my lawful right. The girl at the register informed me she couldn't do the return because could get into trouble, "sorry" but I could return at another location. I asked her if there was a store policy of having this type of bag and she said she didn't know. I held back my tears as I told her "what just happened to me was really wrong, we see these type of things in the media all the time especially with racial profiling and I never thought I was going to be treated this way." I asked her if there was someone else above the store manager and she said "yes but that they aren't here today" I contact you, PetSmart corporate, a professional Petsmart store manager of this location to please take action in this matter immediately because I will not let this situation go and I will pursue another action if it doesn't get rectified. This incident occurred around 5:20pm October 2, 2021. The store managers name on shift at that time was Jenny. I have provided you the details so I ask you to check all surveillance cameras which will have 100% proof and show that I never took and stole any item from this store. Perhaps she racial profiled me. This issue doesn't get thrown under the rug by simply going to another Petsmart location to do a return. Another customer would've definitely stood there and made sure the return was made and had her check the cameras on the spot and possibly had the store manager above "Jenny" Aware of the situation. Many things go unspoken of and not reported and thats why many people get away with things because no one came forward to say a word because they think no one will hear and listen and that no one will believe and nothing will be done.

    They have a nice selection. I like the doggie clothing. The people that work there are always friendly!

    Standing waiting for service, told the employee what I needed and she skipped me for another customer. Never will return to this store.

I picked up my dogs on Friday, and when I finally got a closer look at my fluffy corgi, I noticed she looked almost like my standard corgi. A significant amount of her fur had been cut from her butt, legs, and mane area. Normally, when I drop my dogs off, staff ask what type of grooming or cut I want. This time, no one asked, so I assumed they would follow the usual grooming notes they keep on file for my dogs. I was rushing to pick them up before closing and had to get back on the highway, so I didn't notice the haircut until I reached my destination. The before-and-after difference was very noticeable, and not only did I notice it, but several other people commented on how short her fur had been cut. What upset me most was the lack of communication. No one contacted me to confirm cutting off that much hair, and I didn't receive a call or text before the grooming was done. When I called and asked who groomed her, the manager told me it was the same groomer who usually works on my dogs and said she didn't know why the cut was done this way. At the same time, she mentioned seeing my dog on the grooming table and noticing she wasn't fixed yet and had already gone to daycare without anyone realizing--again, without any confirmation or communication with me. I've been a loyal customer and consistently leave 20% or higher tips because I appreciate good service. Unfortunately, this situation didn't feel like it was handled with genuine accountability or concern for what happened. I'm very disappointed with this experience. I trusted that my dogs' grooming history and preferences would be followed or, at the very least, confirmed with me beforehand. Sadly, this experience makes me feel like I may need to find another place for grooming.
