I use the grooming service, vet service and store products. I an always pleased with the service and products.

While the staff and products at this location are still wonderful, I had to revise my review to share the fact that the Doggy Daycamp camera has been down for months. This location uses ABC Cam, and only two zones (which are infrequently used) are visible. The room that is visible from the window in the store is not viewable online and hasn't been for a while. This is highly disappointing as I enjoyed being able to see my dogs on the camera while I'm at work. It gave me great peace of mind knowing that my boys were having fun while I was busy making that doggo treat money. Every time I've mentioned it to the staff and inquired about when it might be fixed, I've received shrugs and confusion in return. For all I know, it could be a bureaucratic nightmare to fix. Again, this issue isn't something I'd remove a star for. The staff has always been really nice and there are brands at this location that are not at the other Dublin PetSmart. I definitely trust that the staff is taking good care of my boys while I am at work...but it would be great to be able to see my dogs' cute play time while I'm at work. read more

Made a last-minute booking after my groomer canceled the day before, and I'm so glad I did. Scotty was awesome and gave my dog the perfect summer cut. He even told me my dog was a cool guy, but I know my pup to be a bit crazy. Scotty for sure has the magic touch! My looks adorable, and the whole experience was great. I have been a regular to this store in the past couple years, not only purchasing something, but my dogs also stayed in the PetHotel couple times a year. I used to book the exit bath on the hotel checkout day to make sure that they were clean to go home, then switched to a dedicated grooming service after they discontinued the exit bath. However, in last year, they did not trim my dog's nails and did not clean her ear either for one stay. When I found the issues at home and called them, I was told that they could hot handle my dog, so just totally skipped these two steps that I paid for. Though I was not satisfied, I thought this was an one-time accident and not reallyworth bothering with, but I then avoided booking grooming services with them for the subsequent hotel stays. Now I just checked out today for another stay which I tried again with their grooming service since last year's incident, to give them another chance, and purposely double checked her ears - all were full of wax in her outer canal! And even in some part of outer ear. When I returned to the salon and they cleaned it again, though I told him that this is the second time that they did not do the service, he said that they don't clean ear canal. However, the wax is still on her ear hair, and I can even easily wipe out more with just a tissue - after he cleaned them **again**. If this is the standard of cleanliness of West Dublin PetSmart, their bar is too low to earn customers' business. East Dublin PetSmart has been my regular grooming service provider since the first incident in last year and they don't have this issue at all. It's so funny that a box store does not have a consistent standard across all their stores. The corporate HQ should review the store's performance seriously. read more

This review is specifically for the grooming service (the store itself is fine--no issues there). About a year ago, we brought in our Australian Shepherd for grooming. She had some matting, so we understood that some fur might need to be removed. However, they ended up shaving her down to the skin. As many people know, you should never shave a double-coated dog--it can permanently damage their coat. It took a full year for her fur to grow back, and even now, it's not the same as it was before. Hoping that was just a one-time mistake, we gave them another chance last week for a light summer trim. This time, she was not matted at all. I specifically explained our previous experience and clearly told the technician not to shave her. Unfortunately, when I picked her up, she had been shaved again--not to the skin like last visit but still very very short. At this point, it's hard to see this as anything but a lack of understanding or care when it comes to proper grooming for double-coated breeds. We won't be returning, and I would strongly caution other pet owners--especially those with similar breeds--to think twice before using this grooming service. read more

This place has so many to choose from for any pet needs. It was almost overwhelming. Came her to get a few items. It was clean and very organized. Easy to find things through the aisles. At least I had one interaction with a young associate who was very helpful and even went to the back stock to see if there was any of the items I was looking for. Without even having to ask! The only thing was their women's restroom was quite dirty. The stalls were out of toilet tissue and/or seat covers. I'll just stick to going through aisles and not use their restrooms. read more

I am very happy with my appointment. It has been two weeks, and I am still so pleased with the service Melody N. provided. I knew I was in great hands when I arrived early in the morning and took time to read the team bios. I was especially happy to learn that Melody is known for working with Shih Tzus. Although I do not live nearby, I would absolutely love to return. The service I have been receiving at my local PetSmart made me give up on them after four years of taking my dog there. Melody was thorough, addressed all of my concerns, and went above and beyond to educate me. She even updated the notes as well. I took both of my doodles (one large size and one medium) to get their bath's there yesterday. The dogs looked like beautiful fluffy dogs when I picked them up. Their fur was so soft and they smelled fresh. I love that they offer these little "add on" services, such as teeth brushing and nail trimming and special products. I want to give a shout out to Mason who really went out of her way to get my dogs' services done in a hurry. I was a little late showing up but she really accommodated me quickly and did an excellent job on my dogs. The cat adoption center is terrible. The actual employees refuse to help you with them. When we mentioned we were interested in adopting a cat, they just said "call the number on the information sheet for the cat and deal with them. We can't help you." So we reach out to the number to express our interest and get more information. They tell us to fill out an application and there is an adoption event on Saturday. We show up Saturday and say we are here to see a specific cat. There is a couple already let in the room with him and they come out and say "we will take him". And the volunteers look at us and say "guess he is unavailable". Terribly run. Why fill out an extensive application in advance when someone can just walk off the street and say they will take it? Why can't the actual employees in the store work with the serious adopters to be able to actually pet the cat??? This is a failure on PetSmart. The application process is a failure on PetSmart and the cat rescue. We ended up going to the SPCA which provided a way better experience with much kinder volunteers. read more

To be frank, I was a little hesitant to stop by this PetSmart location due to their low ratings. However, glad I gave it a try because I had a pretty good experience. I went in to stock up on some food, so I can't say anything about their grooming, training, or vet services. The items I was looking for were in stock, which deserves a star in itself because my go-to store didn't have any. Additionally, the staff at the register was super helpful and pleasant. I had a coupon and for whatever reason it wasn't working. I was worried the staff would basically tell me "tough luck," because it's happened before. However, this staff problem-solved well and managed to get my coupon to work! Small efforts mean a lot, especially from a customer's point of view. Really bummed I can't remember her name, but thank you for taking just a little extra time to help out! read more

A large selection of pet related items with fully stocked shelves. This is nice to see when many other pet stores have empty shelves due to supply chain issues. Customer service is definitely lacking though, with no employees on the floor to assist guests with questions or to help and the only available employees are the three up front cashiering. Store Itself: Clean, organized, and well laid out. Easy to find items with large signs directing you. Pet enclosures are kept clean and tidy which is a must. Lots of seasonal items for pets and clearance items are easily accessible. Products: Huge selection of items for any pets needs. Leashes, food, bedding, enclosures, you name they have it. Plus the shelves are fully stocked, which is nice as many of the pet stores I've seen are empty for weeks. Service: Poor. There was multiple people looking for assistance, including me, and no one was around. The only employees were in the front of the cashiering. The cashiers seemed to be not friendly and wanted to leave. Overall: A huge selection of pet supplies with fully stocked shelves, clean interior, and lots of great deals... but customer service is the only thing missing here. read more

So I took my pup here for a groom and while it was okay, I had to make another appointment to go back (to the same groomer) to have my dog's anal glands' expressed. I paid for the full package so I assumed they would do it however they said that not all owners want this done so you have to request it. It would have been nice to know this first hand. The next day I call to schedule the appointment and I'm all set since the same groomer will be there that day. I come in and the groomer says they don't have her scheduled in the system. Basically the person I spoke to on the phone didn't even schedule me an appointment. Just wonderful. Anyway, she started having attitude with me saying she's the only one there and didn't even take her lunch break. (Why is that my problem? Go take it up with your manager). I didn't want to go off on her so I just said I will take my dog somewhere else. Honestly, save yourself time and money and go to the PetSmart on Dublin Blvd. This location seems to have bad customer service and I don't see myself coming back or recommending them to anyone. read more

This review is for the grooming service at Petsmart with Valencia. After my trusted groomer closed during the pandemic, I struggled to find a suitable replacement for my sweet, elderly toy poodle. Fortunately, I managed to secure an appointment with Valencia at this location. She lived up to her excellent reviews. Valencia is exceptionally kind and gentle with my 7-pound elderly poodle and is skilled in poodle-specific grooming techniques, including hand scissoring the top knot. Josie always looks stylish and well-groomed after her visits. We opt for the 'elderly rush service' and pay extra to ensure Josie doesn't have to wait or stay in a cage. I usually shop at the Fremont store... But I had a coupon and we were close by so we stopped here. It's bigger than the Fremont store. This worked out well. I grabbed some dog food and treats and saved $10 bucks with my frequent flyer coupon. My big boy is pretty picky and really doesn't care for many dog treats. These skin & coat supplements were on sale so I thought I'd give em a try... he's not very interested, he never is... I tried! I snapped some pictures to show a friend that all the deer antlers that they find all over their property really sell for some of these ridiculous prices all over not just PETSMART. This has to do with the grooming salon manager and store manager. I made an appointment on the app for a cut/bath. I get there at my appointment time and was told by the grooming manager that they called and left a voicemail to cancel my appointment and canceled it on the app. I showed her that the app still says I have an appointment and I never received a call or voicemail. She said there was nothing she can do as she called and she has meetings starting now with the higher ups that she doesn't control. I took work off early to take my dog and told them this. I just got a there's nothing I can do from her. I speak to the store manager and same thing. "The system shows we did call" and she offered 10% off. A whole $7 dollars off. Like that makes up my missed work, gas, and inconvenience. When I asked the store manager if the meeting can be pushed, she didn't know what I was talking about. Then she back tracked and said the grooming manager probably has zoom training (lol) with a dog and someone else but wasn't sure what her employee was actually doing. Horrible customer service from both managers. I would have never shown up if I knew the appointment was canceled and putting it on a customer to be SOL is ridiculous. I would rather spend double the amount for grooming somewhere else than go back. You guys can keep your 10% off. read more

Came in for specific items- soft dog food for my fur child after having been at Sage across the street. There is a ton of parking. I didn't have an entire looksee, but the place looked to be of the typical standard Petsmart size with a Petsmart Hotel in the back. I saw the cutest little bear costume or hoodie I wanted to get, but ended up not. There were more customers inside than I was expecting and as we all headed towards the checkout counter, we did form somewhat of a line with only 1 register open. Everyone was kind and looked happy. One thing that sorta bugged me was how there were cops at the exterior of the building near the entrance either questioning or escorting someone away maybe? Nothing violent, just weird, though I'm not usually in this area to know. read more

Regarding a transaction made on 11/11/2024 15:34 PM. My phone number was used fraudulently at this store to redeem 5,000 points ($10). Either a customer used my phone number on purpose or accident to redeem those points. Either way, the email associated with my account was overlooked by cashier 816858. At the store I frequent (6 HOURS AWAY from Dublin, CA), cashiers confirm the address associated with the account. Either that did not happen or the customer lied about it for a nice $10 discount. Luckily the receipt was emailed to me or I would not have noticed so thanks for that I guess. I want it to be known in case this happens to you: Don't bother contacting the store. The manager wasn't interested in looking in to this situation any further. I am so thankful for the general customer service line at 888 839 9638. Regarding: Stay 4/5 to 4/11. My dog is 8 years old, and we adopted him 7 years ago. For the past 7 years, he has boarded at Petsmart in Fresno, Fremont, and Dublin. Each boarding sums up to several hundred dollars, sometimes over a thousand, when we travel abroad for weeks. By far, Dublin, CA, Petsmart has offered the worst service, especially the grooming salon. Because Dublin is closer to us we continued to avail their service. Multiple times, the grooming salon canceled his grooming service. Multiple excuses each time for refusing to provide a previously scheduled appointment. Interestingly, when I called to complain about the grooming department, they were able to provide the previously refused care. I dropped him off on 4/5 and informed them about his grooming appointment scheduled for today, 4/11, and also asked them to note that we might pick him up today instead of Sunday, 4/13. Today 4/11 I called the Dublin grooming at 11:30 am (his appointment was at 11 am) to let them know we will be picking him after his grooming. A lady answered the phone and when I mentioned his name she said, "let me check on him" and hung up on me. I immediately called back, and a different woman answered the call asking if I was calling about my dog; she is the store manager; apparently, my dog "nipped" the groomer, Scott, and he refused to groom, and they tried calling me. I did not receive a call from Petsmart grooming today. Obviously disappointed, I asked if they would try grooming him later today, and the woman's answer was an abrupt "no". No apologies, no attempts to reschedule on another day or with a different groomer. I expressed my disappointment to her that this has happened multiple times, and interestingly, when I call corporate to complain, they are able to accommodate the grooming. And I plan to contact corporate regarding this experience. The woman's response was "ok you can call corporate". Next, I called the Petshotel to get more information. A girl answered the call, and as soon as I started to speak, she passed the phone to another woman. The first thing this woman said was, "I will take the conversation from here. You can call corporate for webcam access about grooming". Please note this is even before I explained to anyone at the PetsHotel the purpose of the call and what I am hoping to achieve. This woman said her name is Clarita she is the hotel lead. She decided to go into a defensive mode even before I had a chance to explain the purpose of my call: I was upset that they did not call me, and I should not have to pay for tonight's boarding. Clarita explained to me that "He bit the groomer." I checked with her if she was absolutely sure if my dog "bit" a staff and if she had proof to support it since I was not told by the store manager that he "bit" but "tried to nip." To this Clarita responded "He jumped and tried to get his leash but his mouth landed on the groomer. He had his mouth open which means he bit." When I asked for further clarification, she had not much to offer and said she would make a one-time exception and waive his tonight's boarding charge. Between the two women I spoke to, the story changed from my dog nipped, tried to nip, was aggressive, to tried to go for the leash and mouth landed on the groomer, to jumped at the groomer with his mouth open to bit. Excuses to hide their incompetence and laziness to serve the clients who pay for the business to run. In a couple of hours, when my husband went to pick our dog, he was told that they would not take him at the Petshotel for future stays for his "aggression". Please note there are no accounts of any aggression to staff or another animal in the 7 years my dog resided at the Petshotel, including this stay. This evening, I got a text that his future reservation has been canceled at the Dublin location. When I go to the app to schedule a stay at Fremont or Concord, I notice I am no longer able to schedule any stay. It was all based on false accusations of his aggression by arrogant, disrespectful, incompetent, inexperienced staff at the Dublin location. Who gives these front line helps so much power to refuse service based on their biases? read more

This is a really nice PetSmart. Large store, fully stocked. They have other services like dog grooming, and training, but offer something unusual -- doggy daycare ($21/day) and overnight, if needed. The staff is welcoming and very responsive, and offers over-the-top help and guidance. read more

This is about their grooming services with Emile. I booked my dog for a deshedding bath and nail trim (lab/cattledog mix, so not super long hair, but does shed seasonally) with Emile. This was supposed to be a 2-3 hour appointment, but they somehow magically finished in under an hour. I think this happened because they did not fully complete the job: 1) When I picked her up, her coat was still quite damp. Emile said it she was damp because she had just sprayed her with cologne. Either they absolutely drenched my dog in cologne or (more likely) Emile was lying and did not fully dry my dog. 2) Ear cleaning was supposed to be included. That was skipped entirely, I had to do it myself when I got home. 3) Not that I even really wanted it, but just to prove my point: they are supposed to put a free bandana on your dog after grooming, but that didn't happen. There wasn't even any explanation, like they ran out or my dog didn't like it or something. 4) Three weeks later and I just had to spend half an hour brushing out all her undercoat that was still there because she was still shedding like crazy. It should not have come back this quickly if they had done the grooming correctly in the first place. I wasted $84 for this absolutely awful service. Maybe some of the other groomers are better, but I'm not going to risk it again and I suggest you don't either. At the very least, avoid Emile. read more

Melody bathed and trimmed our Australian Shepherd. She did an amazing job. She trimmed our dogs paws, removed the matting near her rear and back legs, and removed excess shedding. So I just left the store. They had a sign up that says buy three get one free. So having four dogs I took four. I get up to the register and she says "oh that's tag is expired ,so you can no longer use it. We forgot to take the tags down." if it was me as a manager, I would've accepted it and gone and removed the sign. However, the manager here decided that no,. Hence why I don't come here very often and it's cheaper to buy on Amazon. read more

I don't know what else to say about this petsmart other than they typically have carried the doggie food I need and also the items I need. Sometimes the cashiers are new and may not know where everything is located but they at least try and point you in the right direction. If I could put zero star I would!!!!! Do not take ur dog to get groomed here. We left our dog here at 2 and came to pick him up around 5:10 because we couldn't wait any longer it was gonna take another hour so we couldn't wait. We asked for tiniest trim which is number #4 and we came back to get our dog shaved all the way with barely any hair. We didn't complain because we're not good with confrontation so we left but I will never ever bring my dog here again. Only brought him cause I was recommended this place but I usually take him to the one in San Leandro and they do a way better job. Also it's the ladies fault because we told her what we wanted and she didn't care she just shaved him why would u shave my poor dog like that. Her name is (K Haircuts)She needs to be fired or something this is unacceptable. She should not be grooming. And we still payed I should've walked out but I'm not that type of person. 3-4 hrs just for my dog to look like this is crazyyyyy I go to the one in San Leandro and they always take about 1hr to 1hr and a half and my dog has never came out like this. Customers be aware!! Since I posted "not so great" experience, I got banned from using the Pet Hotel. I was shocked! The manager said that employee complained I was rude and made her cry. No one had contacted me or asked if such incident occurred. The manager made a decision without hearing my side of the story, which none of alleged incidents took place. The manager was "protecting" the employee by banning me. It did not matter than I explained no such incident happened. Well, I was not going to stand by and have someone ruin my reputation. I escalated my concern to the corporate office. Guess what, they had the manager call me only for her to say that "I already made a decision and I'm not changing it." Lesson learned. Don't complain against this business lest you be targeted and banned unjustly. Blindly accept poor service for your loved pets in fear. read more

I have had consistently great experiences with the grooming service at the West Dublin Petsmart. Ava is especially wonderful. It's obvious she loves dogs and my 13 yo spaniel mix loves her too. He even recognized her outside the store on the way in and ran up to greet her. She's always very calming and thorough with his haircut and extra pampering, even careful to avoid his dewclaw. The store is always neat and organized with friendly staff. The rewards program is always good for a little discount. The negative is that the grooming prices have been steadily increasing, like every other business, but it is a little easier to get an appt these days... read more

The first time I came to petsmart the fish associates were very nice and wanted us to choose the fish we like 5 star. On september the 22 at 4:08 PM 2024 we went to by more fish and guess what there were associates that did not let us choose the fish that we liked and said its only 20 cents you don't get to tell us what to do. I am very disappointed but will give it another chance. Hope the associates are like the first ones and don't give us the patterns of fish we don't like and tell we need to buy them. read more

I'm disappointed with Kaya located at you 6960 Amador Plaza Rd, Dublin store. She is unfriendly and her customer service is bad! When she catches neon fishes for me, she catches the fishes aggressively with the net and shocking them a lot! Overall experience with Kaya at PetSmart is a negative experience! read more
