Horrible experience at this PetSmart every single time. The employees seem uninterested in doing their jobs and often give information they aren't even sure about. Customer service is incredibly frustrating! on the phone I'm told one thing, and in person it's a completely different story. I drove 25 minutes only to be told that I had supposedly asked for something else over the phone, which I absolutely did not. To make matters worse, an employee twisted my words in front of their coworkers, making me look like I didn't know what I was talking about. Extremely disappointing, and honestly, it's easy to see why this location has only 2.7 out of 5 stars. I brought my dog in early for grooming and they actually did a good job with his hair. However, the grooming staff here really needs to work on their customer service. I came before the store opened and I stood at the grooming counter with no assistance for 15 minutes. Someone finally came in with her hood up and didn't even acknowledge me except to ask if I paid yet. Like how am I gonna pay if you're the only one here?? None of the staff are friendly whatsoever and have a very uppity attitude about EVERYTHING. I brought my dog here because of scheduling conflicts at his regular groomer, Fur Pal (which I definitely recommend over Petsmart). He was very scared during his grooming here and they made sure to let me know in the most pretentious snarky tone ever. I don't mind getting advice, but at least saying hello beforehand or smiling would go a long way. They got the grooming skills down. Maybe it's time to invest in people skills next. read more

The big box pet stores PetSmart and Petco dominate the pet supply market. I don't mind shopping there, they employ a lot of people and the employees are generally very polite and nice. With that being said the management of the East Dublin store needs to bring up their level of professionalism. Here is my experience yesterday with the two Dublin California stores West Dublin & East Dublin. West Dublin PetSmart is the closest store to me and I usually pick up my dogs food there. For the past couple of years they have always stocked the brand and type of dog food recommended by my Vet. (Never out of stock). Yesterday, I went to the normal aisle and I could not find the Royal Canin specific type my dogs eat. Asked one of the associates and she called the manager who looked up my account and then went on the store computer to verify the West Dublin store is no longer stocking my particular product. He then told me per the computer East Dublin has two bags in stock. Perfect ! Arrive at the East Dublin PetSmart, greeted at the door, the only customer in the entire store. Went straight to the Royal Canin aisle, two bags of my dogs food in stock. Picked up a bag and proceed to the cashier. While checking out, I asked the question " are you going to continue to carry this product"? Understandably, the cashier did not know, so she asked who I presumed the manager who was preoccupied with something else. He gave me the easiest coined answer. "I don't know". I asked the question so I would not have to drive 10 miles out of my way to continue to patronize PetSmart. Two completely different level of professional attitude. I know Petco carries it. The salon manager Aliyah was exceptionally rude and unaccommodating when we tried as new customers to get our pet groomed here. I had to call corporate and file a formal complaint. Take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of grooming options in the area and Chewy.com is a great alternative if you need to buy products. read more

Always great to be able to stop by and grab whatever my animals need. I hadn't realized that I was out of cat food and thankfully we were across the street and I saw the Petsmart sign and I was able to stop in and grab some last minute food for my cat. If I could give 0/5 stars, I would. After recently moving to the Livermore/Pleasanton/Dublin area, we wanted to continue using PetSmart's grooming services, as our dog has been getting his haircuts there (previously at the Daly City location with no issues). An hour after we dropped our dog off, we receive a call informing us that his ear was cut and was being admitted to Banfield for further treatment. Upon picking him up, he was shaking due to the trauma. That night, he went into shock - loss of appetite, consistent shaking, heavy salivation due to nausea, and extreme fatigue. We had to admit him to the nearby pet emergency at that point, which PetSmart rejects to cover the expenses for. Those tragic stories about pets getting badly injured from PetSmart's grooming services? This is yet another one. Our mistake was entrusting these half-assed "professionals" who could not even have the decency to be truthful about what happened when it is clear they snipped his ear. (The grooming front desk said that there were so many mattes in his hair that the BRUSH got caught & cut him.....??????) Long story short, DO NOT GO TO THESE GROOMERS AT THIS LOCATION. There are tons of great treats, toys and best of all...Royal Canine for Yorkies. I cannot tell you how many pet stores I went to and had no luck with finding that specific one for Yorkies, but I can always find that here. In addition to having what my pup always needs, they also have pet grooming services and pet training sessions. As well as a Tag making machine, where my kids and myself were in awe of how it works. He was released 5 and a half hours later after getting stitches. He is 4 pounds. He has been getting groomed at Fur Pal Grooming Spa in San Ramon for 4 years and we have never had an incident. They were completely booked so I thought he would be okay going to Pet-smart. I wish I had just waited for their next appointment. I can't even imagine the pain my Benny went through. Had a bad experience with my pet dog's grooming. We have always taken him here and Joanne was his groomer...have had a good experience with her but the last time she was not available and we got Alicia. Her behavior was not good from the very beginning...she was rude and said that my dog was matted at certain areas but she completely shaved him. This "grooming salon" is an absolute joke. They want the easy grooming route, give little to no options and charge ridiculous high prices for that. "Your dog is too matted/tangled, only can do 1/8" that's pretty much SHAVED!! Oh and to do that, the have to "pre-shave" it first, which is more $$. I've always taken my dog to other places in similar circumstances and I'm given far more choices. I'm flexible, I normally say "please go larger blade and if you see mats just shave them". I don't need a perfect haircut for my dog, I just don't want him to look like a rodent. Oh and when I asked about options the girl I was talking to had the audacity to laugh at/mock me with a "yeah right..." tone, so arrogant... and she wasn't even a groomer. I've been here twice, I thought maybe the first time was a one off bad experience but the second time was worse. I didn't have the opportunity this time, but Pet Supplies Plus has a very decent service and far better options if you can wait to get an appointment. read more

I took my 3 dogs and the same girl who is always rude, said your appointments cancelled we rescheduled it to this date, take it or leave it with a lot of attitude. I had a grooming appointment for my pomeranian. It was her first time as she's still a puppy so I knew there might be some difficulty grooming her. Well the groomer said she was wiggly which is fine but they literally chopped her beautiful long hair. Half of her hair is cut and some of it not. I do not like giving this rating but.... I rented a carpet bissell vacuum cleaner. 1) The vacuum cleaners are not washed out inside out when given out. So, there is pet hair inside that you cannot see. 2) The same person who checked me out and checked me in happily charged me $20 extra for cleaning. Why? 3) At drop-off, I was told I had dog hair in the vacuum. I dont have a dog/cat or anything that could cause the hair inside.
