They may have pet items but their policy for returning UNUSED cat food cans is crazy. We bought a pack of cat food for one of our fur babies and as most cat owners know they can be picky af. So we only used one can of the set and decided based on that to return it. It's odd because they have cans out in the open but because they didn't have these flavors out as singles we had no choice but to buy the pack. Well I went to this location to return some unopened items due to mistakenly purchasing the incorrect items. I had the receipt of purchase and the items to return. The lady at the front was sweet so this not to make her look bad. She even offered for me to try another location in Peachtree Corners, GA that would be less strict on returns. I wanted to write this review because of how strict this location's management is. I find it really ridiculous that I can't return items that are unopened along with the receipt that I recently purchased from here in under less than a week ago. Even their return policy states as long as the items aren't opened, then it is eligible for a full refund. It makes me not want to shop here anymore and to warn others of this location's STRICT management. To me that is a red flag if other locations are following the actual process and procedures on returns for PetSmart's return policy, especially for items that are not OPENED!!! My husband always stops by this store for fish food and supplies. But this weekend, we added a kitten to our family and shes stolen our hearts! She even won over our resident cat in less the 4 days. The adoption took less the 20 mins. You get a coupon book for a bag of free cat food and 50% off a bucket of litter. In regards to the Grooming Salon. Our groomer, Angel, truly is one. Midnight had an appointment on May 24, 2023 for a 10:00am drop off. I was running late and traffic was ridiculous. I called Angel and let him know we weren't going to make it by 10:15am. I was very stressed out. Midnight had a comprehensive exam that weekend and I really needed her cleaned up. Angel spoke so sweetly to me. He calmed me down and told me to bring Midnight anyway. He said he'd take care of her! What really astonished me is they were short staffed that day. Angel took Midnight at 10:30am when he could have easily said no. He wasn't even scheduled to work on the 24th. He came in to replace a sick coworker. It's not often I cross paths with a person like Angel, especially in customer service. He made me feel like his only job in the world was to clean up Midnight. And, that he did. She looks amazing. Henceforth, I will go out of my way to schedule all of Midnight's grooming appointments with Angel. This is not to say the other groomers aren't up to the job. They are wonderful people, too. But, Angel is a rare gem I want to keep as long as possible. read more

The groomer tried very hard to cut my anxious pups nails. Unfortunately, she was only able to cut his back paws and didn't charge me. I appreciate her efforts. What pushed me over the edge is while I was standing outside the grooming area, two Petsmart employees made multiple comments about how my dog was upset and laughed, not knowing that they were talking about my dog and I could hear everything they were saying. I found that very unprofessional in an already pretty stressful situation. I also saw an employee spraying a dog with water because he jumped on the door in the doggy daycare area. This is the most uninviting PetSmart I've ever been to. They don't even turn on the sign after dark, it's like they want you think it's closed so maybe you'll leave them alone. Once inside, it's not much better. Very few people working, huge lines, lots of out of stocks, and heaven help you if you want someone to get a fish for you. Take a look at the bettas they sell in those tiny cups and see how many are still alive. They don't even bother clearing away the dead ones. This store is old and it shows. My dog got groomed here, worst experience. Hes husky and they shaved him instead of giving regular grooming. Manager was super rude and said thats what we asked. If you book the haircut/bath with someone from the Academy (students in training), you get $10 off per dog. My pekepoo's grooming cost $35 (that's with the $10 discount) and my maltese was $36 (with $10 discount and with the additional fee from the whitening shampoo). It might be more than my own hair cut, but my doggies always look so CUTE afterwards!! The service is excellent and everyone is super friendly. It makes me feel that they'd treat my doggies the same way. I *love* how they'll also take in your doggies earlier than planned (i.e. I had an appointment at 12pm, but they allowed me to drop off at 10am---scenerios like that). Good for me when I need to do lots of errands that will take all day! I know my doggies are in good hands. They also hand out "report cards" to inform me of what my dogs needed. I likey! read more

He apologized for what happened to my dog as well as the way I was treated. My dog goes to both Banfield and the PetsHotel. While he is not a fan of the vet, he LOVES the PetsHotel. Whenever we walk in he is greeted by name even if I haven't told them who he is...I guess he's a favorite. They seem to take good care of him and they even give report cards to me about how his stay was. Banfield is alright. Like other reviewers have stated, this area of Gwinnett is declining. However, one wouldn't know it to walk into this store. Yes, all PetSmarts have similar layouts. But what makes one stand out is its staff! I came seeking new food and toys for my canine companions. The staff knew how best to service me, escorting me to the right aisle and giving their insight as to what product would best suit my canine's needs. I also succeeded in obtaining a new toy for fido. I always research online ahead of shopping so that I know exactly what I am seeking and how much it should cost. Thankfully PetSmart was running a sale, B2G1, which dropped my toy to $7/ea. This was cheaper than the various online venders. Yay!! Lastly, I picked up a new tag for his collar. All the tags are laser etched. You pick out and pay for the tag then with the validation number from your receipt entered into the etching machine's computer, it takes your tag and prints out what you type. So easy!
