I took my dog in today to get her nails trimmed. They took her in, and I went to go to the front to pay for the nail trim/grind and came back to sit on the bench outside the salon. I heard insane yelping from inside. I stand up and see my dog yelping so loud, biting the lead, and refusing to let the groomer touch her paws. I have had her 5 years and never seen this behavior ever. I went inside and asked why she was yelling. The other techs were telling her to stop. They tell me she is just nervous with a new groomer, and will have a "more senior groomer" take over. That groomer took over and the rest went fine. I took her out and looked at her nails as soon as I got in the car. The groomer was grinding the TOP of her nails. No wonder why she was yelping, that had to be extremely painful. This was not on accident as she had done this to every nail on the three paws she had worked on. That was 6 hours ago and my dog has been moping around since then. The manager Angelina was very sweet and offered to pay for any vet bills. But this should never have happened in the first place. Stay FAR away from this grooming salon. Take them to someone who actually cares enough about your pet to prevent this from happening in the first place.

    Oreo

We took our 4 month puppy Oreo in for her first grooming! Autumn was AMAZING!! She updated me (I'm sure she could tell I was just as nervous as Oreo) and gave her the best 1st hair cut. We were nervous because we have seen how hair maintenance could be a hit or miss. Not with Autumn! We definitely recommend booking with her and will be back

The "knick" on my dog's chest. approximately 3-4 inches long, required 3 staples
    Hannah I.

I have been getting my dog groomed at Petsmart for awhile and never had any major issues. Today though, I had the worst experience. I was called being told my dog's chest was "knicked" while he was being shaved and that they had to take him to the vet because he was bleeding and they would call me as soon as they got word from the vet. I waited 30ish minutes of not hearing any updates and decided to call them back. I was told that he hadn't been seen by the vet yet and was likely "just waiting in a kennel" but that he probably needed stitches! Now I understand that accidents happen, but the fact that a knick would need stitches and was serious enough to need stitches yet my dog hadn't been seen by a vet yet? My dog is 14 years old and blind/deaf. He gets very nervous in places he hasn't been before, and i'm sure he was just freaking out being locked in a cage while hurt. I decided to go up there so I could see him and get some answers, when I got there they said they still haven't looked at him because they had too many patients at the vet and he wasn't a priority. The groomer cut open my elderly dog's chest but he wasn't a priority!! Then they say they have to wait to get manager approval for them to help my dog at all and he would just have to wait in a kennel until then. Their plan was to put my very old dog under anesthesia so they could stitch him up, which is super risky for an elderly dog. So, upon hearing that bullshit plan I decided to take him to his normal everyday vet. Took him to his normal vet and they got him in a room and saw him immediately! Put some lidocaine on it and put staples in and we were in and out of there with antibiotics and everything in less than 30 minutes!! Fuck Petsmart! Fuck Banfield! Definitely don't trust these people with your animals!

    "STAR" our
  Great Pyrenees

We have been taking our "Star," a Great Pyrenees, to PetSmart, Euless for over 2 years now and have been exceptionally pleased with the grooming of her. Star has a great deal of long white fur (hair) and it gives Ladarica, her groomer, a challenge. The end result is fantastic! Ladarica is truly a professional and takes pride in her work of art, especially in grooming the Great Pyrenees breed. It's very apparent that she loves Star.

We come here regularly for both of my dogs to be groomed. Austyn is always amazing, and all the grooming staff are courteous and friendly.

As a former public school educator, his philosophy was the only one that made common sense to me in how a dog and frankly, how humans learn. If he is your first call, you don't need to make any other calls. If he is your last call, you'll be kicking yourself for not finding him first. He comes to the house, for 15 minute training sessions first with your dog, then with you. Guess what your homework is, 7 minute practice with your dog twice a day tops. Then, you are going into bookstores, etc. with your dog. I had a 50 lb 6 month Pitbull/Rottweiler/Am Bulldog mix. I could NOT physically walk him anymore. A leaf blows by, a squirrel, a child squeals and wants to pet the puppy...I was yanked off my feet (I am a single, 5 foot female weighing around 110-115) Our world was getting smaller and smaller. Breyers changed our lives in a matter of weeks. So now I get to experience all of life with my dog by my side. And I'll close with this story. I got a call on a Monday at 5pm from my Dad coming back from a UT football game. "In Hillsboro at the split, I fell asleep at the wheel, woke up rolling and the car is totaled and I need you to come get me." Two girlfriends came over, one is a super small Asian woman that's never owned a dog and the other is older and has only owned purse-sized dogs. Within 30 seconds, I taught them how to walk Presley, and I got in my car and booked it down I-35. They could not believe how gentlemanly and well behaved Presley was, he waits until they walk through doorways, they stop, he stops, one even took him on the elevator, and prior to training, he wouldn't let me do that! And they didn't have to know or give any commands, just his name. So if you want a dog that understands how to behave when you have guests visit, when you are out walking, when you wanna pop into a bookstore, and who ignores squirrels, has respect and boundaries, and who can think and problem solve for themselves, hire Breyers. Again, I am a CPA and I put my name to Breyers Lane and his company Breyers' Canine Academy, and he is the only dog trainer I will ever endorse.

We now have a powerful puppy we can bring anywhere, thanks to his methods. I wholeheartedly recommend Bryers and trust him completely with my beloved Rottweilers.
