I wish I could give them NEGATIVE 5 stars. My cat was there for over 4 hours and didn't get a compete hair cut. When I got there they were closing and they told me the reason they couldn't finish his hair cut is because they let a dog bark at him the WHOLE time and my cat was meowing a gutural meow. Unsure of what that meant for my cat they showed me that they left his front uncut and then WE HAD TO DISCUSS why I refused to pay the full amount. HORRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Is there anything less than a star? That's what I give them. I made an appointment for my standard poodle on Wednesday, April 19. The evening before his appointment, I was contacted by PetSmart to inform me that my preferred groomer would not be in. I was told that I could be put on the schedule for the 21st and to have him there at 8am. When I arrived at 8, the groomer was not there. Another groomer checked us in and took notes, stating that our groomer was running late for the morning. 1st problem, I adjusted my schedule to make sure he was taken care of, and you can't come to work on time. Oh, okay! I was siting at lunch almost 4 hours later when I received a call from Amber Hall. She sounded panicked and defeated. She requested that I head to her because my dog was being a hard client. When I asked her what was going on, her exact words were, " he had an accident in his kennel, and he was sniffing everything and more worried about what was going on with the other dogs and not sitting still for her. he's a puppy! So I told her that that's normal and that this was our third time at the facility and no other groomer had these complaints. No notes in the system. So then she goes on to tell me that she did the best that she could with him, but if I see hairs out of place or have issues with his cut, she did her best and he's been on her table for two hours. Immediately I'm disturbed and leave lunch. I asked her if I was coming to a shitty cut? Her response: it's not up to my standards but the girls say that he looks okay. I responded that I really could care less what the girls had to say, but it better be up to my standards. I run to PetSmart as quickly as possible to find a dog standing perfectly on her table with a buzz cut. I have a standard poodle that had a full top knot that we had been growing for about a year. I requested that it be trimmed and it was shaved. The socks were sketchy and it was nothing like I requested. She should definitely be remorseful. Nope! She was mouthy and yelling at me and when I expressed my disappointment with the cut, she snatched him off the table without finishing and slid him across the floor to me. She threw the service leash at me. I told her that that was their leash and not his. While still being mouthy and talking all the noise she felt like talking, she went to the back room, got his leash and threw it at me. Her words were, "I'm not touching him anymore!" Well thank God, he's already bald. What's left? To my surprise, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager, Brett Stefenok, who was standing there the whole time, reluctantly raised his hand like a kindergartner in class that kind of knows the answer. I was amazed and pointed out his employees actions that took place in front of him and he never said a word. I knew at that point to request to speak to someone other than him. Que in Melody Miller, the GM in the store. No help, she's running a circus of idiots that are dealing with $3,000 dogs and they are not properly trained. I expressed that I would definitely be suing them based on the cut of my pure breed and the actions of the two employees that I was dealing with. She refused to have a discussion with me at all. Oh and at that time Brett got the courage to speak and pushed me with the door separating the general store and the grooming salon. Assault maybe! I guess Melody was the backbone that he needed. So we move to the part where he tells me that he doesn't have to talk to me anymore and walks off. So I ask for an incident report to be filled and they refuse to give me the incident number. I go to the parking lot and call corporate. I file a report and get the incident number. My husband shows up because I'm devastated at the cut and the treatment. He goes inside and speaks to Melody Miller. She shares that there was a breakdown in communication with the groomer that checked us in and the actual groomer attending to our puppy. NOT MY PROBLEM. SO HE WAS COLLATERAL DAMAGE. It is PetSmart policy that the groomer doing the cut, do the puppy intake. However, Amber came to work at her leisure and not at the schedule time so another groomer did the intake and didn't share our requests or appropriate notes. Another employee in the store stated that Amber had a lot going on that morning and it was just a series of unfortunate events. So now we have a bad haircut and a groomer yelling at me and a manger that the DM, Melody Miller later refers to as a baby manager. So after filing the report and waiting to hear back from corporate, Melody calls on a Saturday . She states that she has been cleared to talk to us . She apologizes and offers us hush money in the form of a gift card to visit their location or another to be groomed . No way in hell will you all ever touch my dog again. When I complained about his cut, I was told that it should have booked the same groomer as the last two times, if I wanted the same cut. Funny story! read more

The groomers seemed friendly and greeted us kindly until the groomer that was supposed to service my dog saw that my shih tzu had a lot of hair (as if that race of dog doesn't have a lot of hair) and proceeded to make faces, while I was checking out how short I wanted my dogs hair I'm not sure what it was Leanne S. Did or grabbed but my dog squealed and my dog is not hurt or sensitive anywhere on his body she then proceeded to tell me that she wouldn't be able to groom a dog like that. Overall terrible experience do not recommend going in for grooming and if you do make sure it's not in the afternoon when people are irritated and ready to go home. read more

No real issues with the store itself. My beef is with the sorry-ass Banfield vet clinic at this place. I had freshly adopted a rather sick little dog from the Humane Society. I had her for less than a day, and even I could tell she was all nasty and mangy. I went here to buy some dog shampoo. The little 5 lb mongrel got underfoot and I stepped on her. God how she cried! The cashier came running and scooped her up and asked me if I wanted to get her checked out since she then started limping. I had a vet appointment the next day, but being a first time dog owner I decided to anyways. I really wanted to be a good owner, and they preyed on my naïveté. The vet tech was good. She looked my dog over and gave her a pretty through assessment and said my dog had mange (by now my dog stopped limping. Turns out she just had a flair for the dramatic---she cried as much when they took her rectal temp). The vet, however, an old man, said, "Oh, I think your dog has a problem with her thyroid" and subsequently ordered an expensive blood test that took TWO HOURS to result. He also said that she had a heart murmur and added, "it also looks like this dog needs a bath." No shit, Sherlock. I had a bag of freshly bought dog shampoo and a brush. Oh, and her thyroid was within normal limits. I asked about her reverse coughing and he and the vet tech just looked at each other and smiled like they shared an inside joke. FUCK YOU GUYS. Total cost for stepping on my dog: $208 and 2.5 hours of my life. They did absolutely nothing for me or my dog, minus the drain on my bank account. I went to the Animal Hospital of Southwest Fort Worth the next day (817.292.8655) and Dr. Morris correctly diagnosed my dog with demodectic mange and an upper respiratory infection. Some Certifect and antibiotics later (and no, he didn't make my dog have to endure dipping), she's all better. Oh, and Dr. Morris confirmed she DID NOT have a heart murmur. Just stay away. These people are predators, and of the worst sort. They will make you think extraneous things are wrong with your dog just to squeeze money out of you. She didn't get any meds nor a proper diagnosis. Even the vet tech knew the dog had mange. The vet must have known as well, which is why he prescribed the unnecessary diagnostic blood test. read more

This is my favorite place to shop when it comes to buying products for my dogs BUT pets that are up for adoption is where they are a great fail. I was looking at all the animals and reptiles that were in the Green Oaks location and they are poorly taken care of. One of the cats had a blankie in her litter box and she was trying so hard to find an area to use the restroom, the cages are unsanitary and the Beta fish are even worse! I literally could not even see the fish the water was so filthy. I brought it to the attention of a young female employee claiming to be the "manager" and she claimed it had just been changed. When she walked back to the register she made a remark under her breath, then, telling another customer how foolish I was making such a big deal over it and it was just a fish! read more

This particular location is horrible! We went in to buy our sick dog food. The food is for sensitive stomachs and requires a prescription to purchase. We have our prescription with us and show it to the lady ringing us up. The bill for this food by the way was just under $200. The cashier calls the manager and says we have our prescription, but we don't have the PetSmart card that is from their PetSmart vet. The cashier asked if the manager could come over ride it as we have a sick dog at home. Manager says No, I'm on a personal phone call. We leave and go to the PetSmart on Bryant Irvin. The manager there uses his PetSmart vet card and we buy the food and go home. Strange rule that their vet has to give us a card and the script written by our vet is useless. The manager could have simply over rode the rule (just like Buddy did at the other location) but she was to busy with a personal call. Horrible service handled well by the cashier but the Manager was an absolute joke. Never again. read more

I've been coming here for several years. I've never had a problem with this store. Until today. My problem is not even with the store, it's with the groomer, Brandy. I was picking up my pets from the clinic today, and I turn around toward the grooming area to see Brandy abusing a little dog while she was cutting his hair. I had to bang on the window, and yell at her to stop being mean to that dog. People like that should not work around animals. She was elbowing him in the face, slinging his butt around then yanking his leash to pull his face toward her. Then when the dog would try to turn away she would elbow him in the face. BE CAREFUL IF YOU GET YOUR PET GROOMED HERE. Took my dogs to get a trim on their face and paws and a nail clipping. I told the lady that my older dog tends to snap and bite when being dealt with his feet, so i advised her to be careful. Keep in my mind, my dog is 15 pounds or so. Anyways I walk around the store and come back to gEt my dogs and I get told that my dog bit her and he got a nose bleed and that maybe it was from stress. I've had my dog for 7 years and he has never had a nose bleed. NEVER! I didn't get charged. I tried to be optimistic that maybe he got a nose bleed from stresS but the only answers I see on the internet that can cause a nose bleed on a dog is from TRAUMA or a respiratory infection . My dog doesn't have a respiratory infection. I am praying to god that the lady didn't hit my dog whenever he bit hEr hand. My dog is doing fine but I don't think I'll ever be coming back here. I doNt want to take that chance that something could happen to my dogs while being groomed. Especially after all those articles of dogs being beat to death at grooming salons. I'll take my chances and groom him myself and get his nails trimmed at the veterinarians. Just thought I'd share my experience and thoughts .. read more

I've been coming here for years. NOT ANYMORE!!! I get a very specific type of food that keeps my dogs healthy and they've stopped carrying it since "they were bought out by some other company." They do t offer it online and can't make it happen for me. Also, customer service is crap. Nobody around ever, the staff seems put off when asked simple questions. I come here to do volunteer work with Paws and Claws. I take care of the cats in the adoption cages toward the front of the store. The staff I've encountered are friendly. The store is relatively clean. I'll snag some of the basics when I'm here taking care of kittehs. The store works well with the rescue agency so I give them props for that. The area it's in is a bit run down, so I can see it doesn't get as much traffic as some more high profile petsmarts. Come here and scope the cute kitties that need a good home! read more

My little dog likes to shop almost as much as I do so it's a lot of fun to be able to take her with me when I go to PetSmart. I love their grooming staff -they're so good with my little dog, very patient and accommodating. They have all the best toys she loves to tear up and usually have a pretty good sale going. My son and I had a bad experience here with a woman who would not control her badazz kid....she acted completely oblivious to this kid swinging a toy in my son's dog's face, like he was going to hit her.....mgmt seemed hesitant to say anything.....my son and I both spoke up though, and we will not be going back to this ghetto Petsmart. The only good aspect of this store is banfield. Edited to add: they charged my for the "pawdicure" but all they did was trim her nail. Ripoff! Took my dog to get her nails trimmed and had the absolute worst customer service of my life. Instead of looking up my information they insisted on creating a new account for me which took forever. I could barely understood anything David the gentlemen helping us said. When I asked him to repeat himself he just rolled his eyes at me. He argued with me over the expiration date of my dogs rabies shot (wether it was April or September it was still within the 1 year of being valid.) I told them my dog had an ear issue and we tried to get them into the clinic which was full and they offered to clean it. When we picked her up I asked if they had cleaned her ears because they looked the same. She (Tasha) was like oh uh I didn't ask. Every time I walked by she was the only one working on my dog. I just looked at her. Tasha then said she could clean it out now if I wanted her to. She then proceeded to rub a cotton ball on it (which did nothing.) I couldn't wait to get out of there. There are ten pets marts in the dfw area this one is closest to me. We will never come back to this one ever again. read more

This is regarding the grooming salon I have had my cats groomed here for years. They do excellent work and the staff is friendly and helpful however the grooming salon is filthy and in deplorable condition. The foul smells are overwhelming when you walk in the door. The floors look like they have never been mopped. The tables have hair cuttings from many previous clippings of different animals. This is a breeding ground for disease and extremely unsanitary. I called the store manager to air my concerns. No business should want to wear this kind of review so I will be checking in to see if they have corrected the situation and will update my findings. The staff needs to be aware as this cannot be healthy to work in just breathing the air. It is THAT bad!!! Otherwise if they do not make a huge improvement I will never bring my Pets here again as I fear for their health and well being in this horrible atmosphere. read more

PetSmart Grooming Salon - Ridgmar Store. There is a gentleman that works here who is NEVER helpful. The ladies are awesome!!!! My two dogs needed nail trims which I cannot make an appointment for. I called and was told walk in only but if I walk in and the man is there, I know I can't get my dogs' nails trimmed and that was this case this past Friday. Also, no manager was in the store to make a complaint with. Here's what transpired: there was the man and another groomer, a woman. We walk in, tell him what we need and he says, can't do it for an hour because he was the only one there and she was leaving. He suggested we go to Banfield Vet. I had a $5 off coupon for the groomer but instead paid $40 at the vet. While we were waiting for the vet, another customer came into groomer and was helped by the man. Wow. I have never had such terrible customer service at Petsmart Groomer. read more

If you care about your furry family member you should go to a real groomer. The people that work there are typically walk ins off the street that get trained for a few days. read more
