Ashleigh rocks doggie training! If you are in search of a dog trainer that can relate to any dog (even yours), then search no more. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashleigh and her training methods. She worked her magic on our two rescue Poms and they are well on their way to being really good dogs. Ashleigh's enthusiastic personality makes the class fun and rewarding on all levels. To watch our Poms make strides in their training was so encouraging; and I must admit to being extremely proud of my Sophie when she learned the command of "sit". For her it was a major accomplishment! Ashleigh is a credit to Petsmart in every way. She truly cares about your dog and his/her progress. I had shopped at Pet Smart for years, and earlier this year signed up my dog, Roxy for training classes. I was lucky to get Ashleigh as our trainer. Roxy definitely needed training and socialization, and she got both. I loved how Ashleigh would start the classes with a get to know for the families as well as the dogs, we discussed good and bad behaviors each week, and learned something new each week. Her knowledge was great and how she taught us to incorporate everything at home. She answered all of our questions. I look forward to advancing to another class with Roxy & Ashleigh. I highly recommend Ashleigh for any of your pets that need training or want to learn tricks. :) read more

Normally I am OK with PetSmart, its a basic pet store. Sure some of the prices are a little expensive but it's fairly easy to find what we need. Although recently I had an experience with their on location pet hospital that has left me questioning "Should I ever visit PetSmart again?" I had a HORRIBLE experience at their "Banfield Pet Hospital" and I/we feel so taken advantage of and lied to that I personally had to do a quick review. Be sure to search for Banfield Pet Hospital 9869 S Eastern Ave. in Henderson to read the review. I imagine they are OK for shampooing your pet or a quick trim, but they should leave the veterinarian care of people's pets (family members) to real professionals. This should be illegal and I've read some of the reviews which I should have done first. But I thought that being PetSmart I could trust them. This recipe is for the grooming salon. This people are the worst. They may hate their job or hate animals. Every time I bring my dogs here they "accidentally" cut them, I'm hoping that's the worst they've done to my poor little dogs. They are so afraid to come here that even my male dog gets aggressive to the groomers, he is so far to be an aggressive pet but totally changes when he is here. I know it's so hard to find good groomers but this will be the worst place to come. They need to do something about this people. I'm tired of their nonsense, I hope the chose groomers better or they will loose all clients. Today they lost 2 that used to be there every 2 weeks. I won't come back! read more

This review is for the grooming section of the store. While I was waiting on line at the store section to pay I was watching all the dogs getting groomed and to my disbelief the tall girl with long blonde hair took a steel comb and without holding the dog she took the steel comb that was almost at her waist and briskly lifted her hand up and combed the VERY sensitive hair around the dogs ear. I watched as the comb got stuck in the dogs hair but she continuously and very fast forced the comb all the way through this sensitive area and her hand stopped when it was up in the air well above the dog OUCH OUCH AND OUCH! !!!. In other word this was done in one very fast and wide motion! The little dog stood up and shook his head obviously in pain. She waited for him to sit back down AND SHE DID IT AGAIN!!!! and the dog had the same painful reaction. I am mad at myself that I didn't go in there and knock her out. To do this twice she clearly enjoyed inflicting pain on the dog. Wonder what goes on behind the closed doors where they give them baths. read more

This review is for the Puppy Training Class. There was a special going on for $99 for Puppy Training classes and decided to enroll my 3 month old corgi Jayla to get her a head start in obedience. Our Trainer was Ashley I think her name was spelled Ashleigh. I wish I knew her last name because I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND HER!! Ashley is awesome and was very patient and informative. There was only one other dog in the class which was great because it gave us more one on one time and helped Jayla better to keep her focus. What I like about Ashley is that she seems well educated, she knows how to explain things in full detail if you have questions. If you don't do the tricks right she doesn't judge or ignore rather she will practice with you. I know some trainers who get annoyed easily and just want to pass through the one hour class like that just to get it done. But Ashleigh will take her time and make sure that you or your dog understands better and gets it right. I also love her tone of voice it is very upbeat and teacher - like ... She kind of reminds me of a kindergarten teacher who actually cares for her students. I wish she was located in the Bay Area since we moved already because I would take immediate classes. It is so worth it!! Jayla graduated and still knows her tricks! You as a owner though have to be responsible as well in contribution to their growth, you still have to train cosistently not just in class. You have to take the training home with you and the best way for them to stick with what they learn is to keep doing it everyday. read more

This review is strictly for the grooming salon. I brought my dog there twice, the first time just for a nail trim and the second bath and grooming package. The first time, for some reason they were unable to trim my dog's nails and I didn't get charged for the service. The second time, all they did was give my dog a bath but charged me $27 for the rest of the services that were not completed. Since it was late, there was no manager to speak with so I called the next day to complain. The person I spoke with was sympathetic but she spoke with the store manager and I was told there's nothing they can do about it. Apparently, they are able to charge the full amount for services that were not performed. All I got in return was a $5 discount for the next time. I'm not sure why they think I would bring my dog back to this place after the service I received. I am very disappointed not only with the service but also with the lack of customer service. read more

do not go to petsmart in las vegas (silverado & eastern) to get your pet groomed! uneven mess and choppy cuts! i am embarrised to bring my dog out :o( and to top it off the day cost me $60 plus. never will go there again!!!!! the groomer knew of my dissapointment and did nothing. it's just hair, it will grow back attitude! read more

Pretty standard for a PetSmart. Clean space, pleasant staff, and it's easy to find what I need for the furball.

The groomers are packed in there like sardines. They always take longer than they say but the biggest thing is they cut my dogs eyelid while grooming hime and he had to have stitches and treatment for 3 weeks. They covered the cost and asked us not to bring him back. Ok, he is 5 and has been going there every month without a problem. He is a calm little dog with no personality issues or nervousness. I wouldn't take him back there anyway because of the cutting issue but how dare they say, " don't bring him back again"! I recommend PetCo where he gets lots of attention from Felicia and the price is much lower. He was nervous to go back after the cutting thing but Felicia made him feel secure and comfortable. She says he's a pleasure to groom. read more

I use to take both my dogs here but after today I'm done. I've been trying to get my dogs in for over a week, the other day I finally was able to get an appointment over the phone for Saturday at 2:30 for one of my dogs and 3 for the other. The person I spoke to said it wouldn't be a problem to bring both in at 2:30. Today I arrive at Petsmart at 2:20, only to be told the appointment for both dogs was at 1:30. There's no way that was the appointment time I agreed to cause not only would the discussion of being able to bring both dogs in at same time (since the appointments were at a different times) not have happened but i didn't get off work tell 1:30 so I would have not taken an appointment at that time. The girl behind the counter, was of no help, she asked who I spoke to, but since I didn't realize there was going to be a problem I did not take note of the girls name. I wasn't offered another appointment or even a "sorry let's see how we can fix this" I have two large breed dogs it's not easy to get them both in and out of the car, I realize this isn't Petsmarts fault, but to be simply told 'tough luck' cause they changed the appointment with out consulting me is unacceptable. I will no longer be buying anything from this company, the customer service had gotten worse and worse over the years and this was the last straw. read more

My pup and I love this PetSmart location. We have done some extensive training with Ashleigh, and she is hands down THE BEST!!! Honestly, she is the main reason we keep coming back. Take a minute and introduce yourself, you'll be anxious to start taking classes with her too. We also go to the Banfield pet hospital inside that location. I would have to give them 4/5 stars though. They have been behind schedule almost every time I go, but that is typical of a doctors office I suppose. I have also had to take my pup in to follow up on routine procedures. Other than that, they are very nice and seem to take good care of my little guy. I have used the grooming services once or twice, and I wasn't blown over the top impressed, but I think I need to give them another shot. Definitely see Ashleigh if you're at all interested in training, there are tons of different classes to choose from, obedience to tricks. read more

It almost feels like employees run and hide whenever they see a customer walk in the store, this location especially. The customer service is absolutely terrible and it feels as if its a burden to ask anyone for help. Anyways, I went in to buy some fish and tank decor, as soon as I approached the fish section, I already felt unwanted. The older blond lady attending the area didnt even bother to say hello or ask if I needed help. It was only untill my dad said "hello" that she was obliged to( and when I say obliged, I mean it, this lady just looked miserable to help anyone). So since this was my first time getting fish on my own, I spent 15 min looking around to see what they had, finnally I decided to ask some questions. So I walked up to the lady asking if two certian fish would be compatible, and she just gave the most condescending look and angrily explained why I couldn't mix those types of fish, which she then proceeded to add "Are you sure you have owned fish before?". So from there I asked what kinds of fish she would reccomend being together, and she just looked annoyed and really didn't give an answer. So, still not really sure what to get I spend 5 min trying to find compatible fish and when I finnally do, the lady is no where to be found, "She must have gone somewhere, I'll jusy wait till she gets back." I thought. 8 min passed as im looking through the aisles with NO EMPLOYEES to be found, finally I find one and ask for help, so he paged someone for me. After a long time of waiting someone came to help, (she was more pleasant than that other lady). As shes helping me guess who I see? Yeah...that lady. Completely avoiding eye contact with me, it's cool you know, leaving so you don't need to help me. That's okay, I would rather eat nails for breakfast than to deal with you, or anyone at Petsmart ever again....oh wait, you would actually need employees on the sales floor to even have someone to deal with. :-) read more

Absolute HORRIBLE service! I asked for assistance in getting a ferret and no one helped me. My boyfriend wanted new fish and the woman was very rude. She seemed to have shaken the bag of the 3 fish he got and gave a rude two cents on the tank he was going to put them in. Never come to this location. There is no help and rude service. The only one who did their job and gave EXCELLENT customer service was Justin. He asked us how we were and if we needed help. We had already been helped but he striked up conversation and made our experience WAY better. If you need help and you have the unfortunate event that you're near this location, ask Justin for help. This review is for GROOMING ONLY!!! I don't really like their customer service in the store. I've only gotten a couple of people that actually wanted to help. But anyways I LOVE LOVE LOVE! Bianca! She is amazing! The first time I took my yorkie in I asked for a teddy bear cut not to short. He came home practically bald. BUT I just took him back yesterday and Bianca did his cut. She listened to everything I wanted done! Showed me how long his hair would be after. He actually had a nail curling into his paw pad that the other girl said I needed to go to the vet for, and she got it fixed for me!!! She is absolutely amazing! I would ONLY recommend her! NOBODY ELSE! I love her! My dog will only be going to get from now on! I know it's kind of up and down with customer service but once you find someone that cares hold on to them! I know if Bianca leaves I will probably take my business else where! read more
