While I was picking up Rook I started to remove his loaner leash. The groomer stopped and said it was against the law to have unleashed dog in Medford. The shop does not prohibit dogs off leash. There isn't a signage. Bob informed me leash are required to provide safe working environments for his employees blah blah. I told him in my note that I'm happy to comply with and leash requirements. However Medford code regarding leash code is dogs running around on public lands w/o leash. If he was really worried safety he would sign his door. I'll find another groomer.

"Uncle" Bill was the sweetest, most patient man on earth! He had to groom and brush out my…read morelong-haired 14 yo cat and she was NOT happy. He was well prepared with a traveling table, clippers, towels, and welders gloves for both of us. It was nice to be able to participate in the care of my cat (and to see how she REALLY acts when she's at the groomers. Not well lol). Most memorable was when poor Bob got his thumb sliced by my cat, I only had teeny tiny dots for band aids, blood was everywhere, and I hear a knock at the door. Bob is in the other room holding down a screaming cat, I have fur and bits of blood and welders gloves on while I answer the door and its a Jehovah's Witness. Poor lady!!! The look on her face was priceless. Needless to say she didn't stick around. She probably thought we were torturing animals in the back or something. I wonder if my house is crossed off their list ("yeah Pam don't ever go to THAT house....") LOL! I swear! We were just brushing my cat!!! He also bathed my kitty in the sink - no small feat and was completely professional (but humorous) about the whole thing which helped calmed my nerves and maybe the cat's. She eventually forgave him and let him pet her as he left. I would recommend Bob to anyone who doesn't want the pain and agony of stuffing their animals in cars and driving them to scary places (especially cats). It was just super convenient and cost effective too. Go Uncle Bill!!! We love you!!!
