The…read moreowner/trainer asked each dog owner to do a 1hr walk plus 2 15min training sessions daily, but was very upset when these people with full time jobs, college, and other responsibilities couldn't do that every single day of the week. My dog (a beagle) was having trouble and the trainer was very rude to me talking to me like a dog or a child because I couldn't get my dog to sit. I called the owner later to say that I thought it was rude the way he spoke to me and he kept blaming me for him speaking to me like that. He talked down to me and couldn't understand what he did wrong or why I was upset. The staff also made excuses that my dog was having trouble because she's a beagle, and according to them all beagles are loud and stubborn. It seems they aren't equipped to handle all breeds. Apparently you shouldn't pet or cuddle your dog when you wake up in the morning, you shouldn't pet a dog's head, you shouldn't wear sunglasses or hats around your dog because it could scare them, and you should make sure to follow a militaristic routine every day to have a happy dog. All kinds of nonsense that normal people with jobs aren't going to do for their pet dogs that they have to love and cuddle with. I will never go back and never recommend this place to anyone on account of its rude owner and ridiculous teachings. Save your money.

I was told $31 plus $10 for two walks that I added. Just picked my dog up and was charged $72. Was told that I had been misinformed over the phone and that someone would talk to the person who misinformed me. When I stated this this wouldn't help me, the response was "I know. Sorry". No call to the owner to try to resolve, no help whatsoever. Just over charged me and gave my dog and his stuff (minus his extra food that I sent). Please don't bother doing business with this place. Totally unprofessional.

When we visited 2 weeks in to 4 week course could clearly see connection our girl had with Nelson Our Girl was with Riedell K9, Nelson, 4 weeks. Excellent results. Not telling anyone that you must use Riedell K9 however if your looking for a board and train &/or training classes do yourself right and give Riddell K9 a call and compare. Usually not writer of reviews however dealing with subject as lodging,training and care of 4 legged family member and to have such an outstanding experience warranted same. He was like a wrecking ball in our house and loved to try and steal and rip apart any pillow. I brought him to hunter canine to do day camp sessions and within just 5 sessions he knew place, leave it, out, and how to walk properly on a leash. After all of our sessions he is fully capable of being off leash with us being comfortable and confident in his recall. He has learned how to be bored when we are busy cleaning or cooking instead of trying to get into anything. Apollo loves all of his girls that trained him (Willa, Finn, and Lila). They treated him as if he was their own dog and showed him so much love. Hunter was amazing and personally worked with him a few times and had him leash trained in just one session. All of the staff made me feel more than comfortable dropping my puppy off knowing he was in the best care he could be in. The last few weeks of training the second we turned down the street to get to day camp apollo would start freaking out with excitement because of how much he loved it there. We just recently adopted a new puppy, and we are definitely bringing him to hunter canine.
