Went in to take my dog Ben for a grooming appointment. It was the first time in a long time that he's been in for a grooming appointment and I was extremely worried about him being to reactive, hard to handle, etc but when he went in and was serviced by Monse, he seemed to have had a great time and she did a lovely job as well!! I relayed my anxiety about leaving him there for a few hours and she assured me she will do the best she can and if anything goes wrong to give me a call right away. Thankfully, that wasn't necessary and within 2 hours he was ready for pick up. His haircut came out great and he seemed so happy and confident coming out so I know he was treated well! I'd definitely recommend booking here with Monse for your pups next grooming service. read more

I had taken my dog many times before and Ashley was always wonderful. Never complained about him. My dog has bad anxiety around other dogs so she had always suggested that I make sure he's the first appt of the morning so he's on the table by himself before the other dogs. I did this and Ashley wasn't available so I booked with Madi. She was late arriving and rude. She did let me know that she would work on him first to get him out ahead of the other dogs... I called back 3 hours later and they tell me that he won't be ready for another 2 hours.... His appointment was at 8AM & they call me at 1PM to tell me that he's ready. 5 HOUR APPOINTMENT. When I go to pick up Madi doesn't say a word to me and had someone else hand me my dog. Then they charged me an extra $10 "handling fee" because they needed an extra person to hold him while on the table. He's a pretty small dog and if she had started him at 8AM (when his appt was) before any other dogs came in it wouldn't have taken so long. I will never go back to this groomers now. We took my dog to get his nails grinded, we specifically told the groomer we did not want the clipped over and over. She decided to clips his nails against our wishes and nicked him. She tried to apply pressure to cover up the fact that she nicked him. Not only did we see it with our own eyes but my dog yelped. Then she tried to tell us she was clipping them to get his nails as short as possible for us, again we asked & paid for them to get grinded. My mother dropped our puppy Jon Jon off at pet smart this morning. You would've thought she brought home an entirely different puppy. Alyssa C. was the groomer that did this. When we picked up our puppy he was shaved all the way down. We specified a puppy cut. Alyssa said when we dropped him off that she didn't have to cut that much off & we pick him up absolutely naked. She said that he was matted. He's 4 months. Not only have we been brushing him lately but getting matted "at the roots" wouldn't even happen that quickly. Also she didn't cut his face because she said he was whining. If she needed help or felt she couldn't do the job she never should've never did it. I think she was both impatient & under qualified. When we picked him up the first time before having to bring him back for another groomer to finish up the job we saw how rough & impatient she was being with another dog. I can't imagine how she was treating our Jon Jon but she will never cut our puppy again. I'm so heartbroken & disappointed this is how his first experience getting cut was like. We are all praying this horrible experience did not traumatize him or change the course of the way his hair is gonna grow... Since being home he has been itching nonstop. So much that he's red. We are trying to get him to stop itching but you can tell he's irritated. We hope it doesn't get to the point of bleeding. We wouldn't recommend booking with Alyssa C. We took him to the vet. He now has a cone on his head because of a yeast infection. Not only that but the red marks we thought were from irritation are actually burn marks. Can you imagine the type of trauma that caused to a 4 month old puppy? Alyssa C. is a monster and does not care about animals. I don't think anyone at that store does. read more

Should've written a review sooner, I've been bringing my baby boy to get groomed here for a while now, we started with Alyssa C when they were a trainee and continued to after they got certified and now request them every time since, they've been very gentle and patient with my dog. Kuma whines and cries the whole time, he has a lot of separation anxiety and I've had a lot of groomers complain, rush him, and do a poor job just to get him out. I get it, it's annoying, and I apologize every time but Alyssa C and the girls here are very nice about it and still so kind to my baby so I don't worry the whole time he's gone. I trust them with him and he comes back so clean and nicely cut every time. They also took the time to tell me what combs I should use for him when he came in matted and explained it to me when I asked and he hasn't been matted since. I've moved through quite a few groomers but I'm sticking with this one for sure. I have had several disappointing experiences with the grooming department, which have led me to feel scammed & disappointed. I have observed that some of the groomers and especially the grooming manager, Rey, become visibly upset when a dog brought in for a bath is not clean. It is unrealistic to expect a dog to be clean before a bath. The "Bath and Brush" packages are supposed to include a full range of services: nail trimming, sanitary trimming, a COMPLETE blow dry, paw pad trimming, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, and a thorough brushing. The groomers here truly do the bare minimum. On all my dogs I've brought here NEVER have any of them fully blow dried them, trimmed their nails, done a sanitary trim, an anal gland expression, ear cleaning, brushed them thoroughly or done a paw pad trim. They have always left my dogs very wet throughout their whole body which causes a strong unpleasant odor due to not being fully dried. The grooming manager,Rey, not caring about other customers hearing him, has talked about commission and added fees. If you want your dog fully blow dried as they should be, the grooming manager will say it's an extra charge. If you mention a sanitary trim as should be provided in the package, he'll say it's extra as well. Everything that should be included within the package is an extra charge because as he has openly mentioned before, it's extra commission! Clearly every service he & the grooming salon provides is just a focus on extra commissions rather than providing the services as advertised. According to PetSmart's grooming policy & their "Look Great Guarantee" if a service is not performed correctly, it should be rectified. Well that's not true at all at this location. I saw a customer come back in because their dogs haircut was super choppy and incomplete and the grooming manager called the store manager, Gabriel, and told him to do the cut but that the customer could no longer come back to that grooming salon for any service. They did this all in front of me and another two customers which definitely doesn't seem right to do in the first place. So if they don't do something right you can't even tell them because they'll ban you and your account from ever making an appointment there again. If you're looking for a grooming salon definitely go elsewhere read more

Firstly they changed her stylist without my knowledge from a female to a male, then complained that she was "aggressive". she has never acted out in any way she is so sweet to everyone especially strangers. they left her half shaven than demanded that i go pick her up. I am very disappointed to hear this, they have been doing adoptions for years. They are a very reputable and a very good rescue. I do know that they only place their dogs in happy, safe homes. If I can give this place zero stars I would. I scheduled a grooming appointment on the petsmart app for today at 730 this I work 45-60 minutes away from home. I received a call from them asking if I could move my appointment to 630 but since I was working I couldn't accommodate their schedule because at the end of the day that's what it comes down to them wanting to leave at 9pm which okay makes sense but then why would you have that option to have your dog groomed at 730pm. I've been to the location in Stevensons ranch and I feel like they bend over backwards for you. I've taken my dog at 730pm and they offered the time. We had come back from camping and he was a mess and they took him in with no problem. And it didn't seem like the manager cared very much since they didn't have the accountability to call me themselves they put the associate to call me. And I do all my shopping at petsmart. Have dealt with Greg and Javier on many occasions and have received excellent customer service. They are always ready to help and always have the answers to my questions! Booked my appointment the same day for my little doxie girl to get groomed for the first time. I love that you can choose who you want even though this was my first time I had VICTORIA groom my dog. She did such a great job. I really wanted my dogs paws and pads to be well trimmed and she did an above and beyond job going to choose her next time. I keep looking at my dog like Who is that dog, can't be mine. Haha My dog looks awesome and it was money well spent! Thanks! STORE: always clean and helpful employees. My boyfriend and I were looking to add to our fur-baby family. We have a 9 year old Redbone Coonhound, and a 5 year old Belgian Malinois. Both of our dogs were adopted/rescued. We both feel we should adopt, not shop, so we went to one of PetSmart's adoption events. Both of our dogs are SO kind-hearted, gentle, and just giant balls of furry love. Yes they bark very loudly, but they are dogs. Malinois by nature are military working dogs...ours was not trained for that, so she is a very domestic dog...she loves to sleep. Our two dogs weigh between 70 and 85lbs. They're not small dogs, but they aren't HUGE. My boyfriend specifically wanted a Terrier, so we were looking for Yorkshire Terriers. We learned that PetSmart had multiple Yorkshire Terriers for adoption that came from a hoarding household. My boyfriend and I were SO excited, we were thinking of adopting not 1 but possibly TWO so they werent too overwhelmed with a new house with a new brother an sister that were MUCH bigger than they were. Our issues started when the agency at PetSmart asked us what kind of dogs we have; of course we were going to be honest! So we told them. The agency would not let us adopt until we brought BOTH of our dogs down to Petsmart and have the dogs get acquainted with each other to see if they would get along. First of all. You want to bring 2 dogs to a new place they have NEVER been, and you think that you will get an accurate read off of if they are going to be civil? No...that doesn't work...you're going to have multiple dogs stressed out in unfamiliar places with new people. Second: We showed photos and videos of our dogs showing what kind of personalities they have. I understand that it can sometimes be a process to put dogs together, but we do not raise our dogs to have a mean bone in their body. We decided to go back home and try to see if maybe we can go about it another way. A few weeks later, my boyfriend stopped by to grab a few things and he noticed ALL of the same Yorkies were still up for adoption. He spoke to another lady and she had a different story as to why we would not be a good family for a Yorkie....because he could get trampled and die due to the bigger dogs in the house. I am not sure how irresponsible these people think we are, but both myself and my boyfriend have important jobs in the Aerospace community...we do not lack common sense, we know how to train and handle our dogs old or new, I had a dog my whole life, my boyfriend has also had dogs all his life. After the second attempt we then tried to go through other agencies and we got beat out of between 6 and 10 dogs. Unfortunately we broke our rule of adopt dont shop because my boss's Yorkies ended up having a litter of puppies and we got one of hers. Our Malinois and Yorkie are best friends. They chase each other around the house or back yard, they bark at each other....our Coonhound and our Yorkie snuggle with each other on the bed. Not once has our Yorkie been trampled and is still alive and literally runs this household. It's a shame that we could not have saved 1 or more of the Yorkies in need...they would have had an amazing life with our family.... read more

What happened!? The customer service has gone way down hill! We come here every week and the past few months have been awful. We have to search everywhere to find someone to help us and no one is open and willing. Today we walked in and waited near the fishes waiting for someone to help us (normally someone is there) and then since there wasn't anyone there we went to the front to ask for help but the three cashiers completely ignored us. They take the time to make sure that each dog is matched up to the right owner. I have adopted a dog from them and I have helped unwanted dogs find homes through halfway to home.
