On my last visit, I found Open Farm freeze-dried food at a huge discount, which was an amazing surprise. I love the brand, so it made the trip even better. Babysitting my daughter's puppy for the day and took him to PetSmart to buy a few toys for him to play with. He got so excited as we walked up to the front door and surely knew where we were at. They had a two sided toy aisle with prices from $4 to $15. They had a buy 3 get the 4th free but did not want to spend that much since they are short lived toys with his sharp teeth. Picked out a bunch of different noise making chewy type toys and let him choose. Ended up buying a 2-pack hedgehog and bear. He was so happy and attacked them as soon as we got home. read more

Unfortunately, my experience was terrible. I take my dog to be groomed regularly, and I have never had such a bad result. Without consulting me or properly explaining the situation, they decided to shave my dog's coat almost completely off, claiming he had mats. I don't agree with that explanation, and regardless, they should have contacted me before making such a drastic decision. The groomer's attitude was unprofessional and unfriendly. To make matters worse, when I spoke with the manager, he showed no interest in resolving the issue or offering any kind of solution to address my disappointment. On top of that, they charged me almost twice as much as I normally pay at other grooming salons for much better service. I will definitely not be coming back, and I cannot recommend this place. I have used petsmart for years for different pet items and some grooming and have been satisfied....until today. I pre booked a grooming service to include a full wash, cut and added on teeth brushing. The total was to be $84. I was fine with that. When I arrived at my appointment, the groomer said my dog was very matted, which she was not that bad. There would be a $20 fee added on for an extra 30 minutes of brushing. I asked what she was going to brush for 30 minutes when my pup was going to be completely shaven. Apparently, a nail grind was included in this, too. I questioned that, too because a nail clip is included in the bath/cut service. I said, so you're going to clip and grind the nails? I was fine with the charge. When I arrived to pick my pup up, there was the original charge for the bath/cut. She added on a $27 fee for a deluxe add on, which I didn't ask for. Along with the $20 for the 30 minutes if extra brushing which I didn't ask for, but she said I HAD to have. My pup did look ok. So basically an additional $47 in add-ons. I got a manager and questioned the charges. He went into the salon. I went in and the groomer raised her voice to me, WITH the manager standing right there. He didn't say a word. She told me how I have a poodle and she needs special conditioner, etc. to warrant the extra charge. Then she said she gave me a $10 coupon, which makes it only $37 in extras. There were maggots and bugs all over the dog food bags. There were live ones and dead ones as well as webbing on bags. I only found one bag that was clean and I was iffy about buying it. I took in a stray kitten Friday night, already in love! Sat eve went to PetSmart. I wanted to set her up with a condo, litter box, food, toys, etc. so I readlity had. I'm a novice cat owner and thought I'd get good advice. And they'd have good prices since their quantity is bulk. I feed another stray but I get food at publix. Pretty pricey. The store was not very busy empty and saw no help on the floor. I asked for help. It came quickly, gave me some suggestions when I asked but also wasn't sure. I dropped over a few hundred bucks. The flea drops don't seem to be working. The feathers on the want came off. My kitten just started to play with it. She had it in her mouth. She would have choked on it! I'm pissed. The litter box was $60. Came with a bag, month's supply but then it says, to use 2 bags. I ran out and got some to fill it in. She recommended the scooper to buy, and I did, but the box came with a scooper. She recommended 1/4 cup of the dry food. But kittens still seeemd hungry after doing that a few times. I read the bag, and I'm underfeeding her. I set up the condo I bought. A nice one with a little hut for her to go in. That hut is so small. Why it didn't say anything or she let me know that it's for very tiny kittens. It wasn't on display. She hasn't it used it yet. Giving it time. The thing I'm most upset about is the toy feather. I upset my kitten when I had to take it away, out of her mouth. She needs play things when I'm at work. I just can't believe it broke off soooo fast! Unacceptable. I got it because of the feathers and you can add toys, interchange different toys that clip on. I want her to have toys to play with when I'm work all day. read more

I recently visited this store and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with this individual claiming to be the manager. This person was dismissive, unprofessional, and not up to the standard of customer service I've come to expect from PetSmart. I usually have great experiences at your stores, so this interaction felt especially out of place. After reviewing feedback from other customers online, it seems I'm not alone in feeling dissatisfied with the management at this location. I believe the store and its customers would greatly benefit from a change in leadership or, at the very least, improved training and accountability for the current management. I would like to give them 0 stares but I can't. I made an appointment for my 5 months baby. He is a male Morkie and was its first grooming experience. They asked if the puppy was aggressive , and we said "well he is a baby, and is the first experience. They said to come back in around 3-4 hours. after 10 min we received a call saying to go back and pick up our puppy because was so hyper that couldn't do their job. My dog was partially trimmed and one teeth missing. We asked for the manager and she did nothing. Of course we didn't pay, but now we are dealing with a scary dog that seems to be very nervou. I asked online if a veteran discount was available. I was promptly and proudly informed that a 10% discount was available to veterans on Tuesdays. What seems odd is that they feel that Tuesdays is the only day of the week when one is a veteran. Other companies that offer veterans discount consider them veterans every day of the week. I had my yorkie girl groomed here yesterday. When I picked up my dog; o picked up a dog who resembles tramp from lady and the tramp. They cut her face hair way too short. It is choppy and uneven. I called yesterday was told I'd receive a call back but never did. Today I called again only to be told I could bring her back for them to fix it (cut MORE off, really???) or get 50%off the next groom. Took my dog in for a nail trim, this staff went above and beyond to get my baby back in pedipaw condition. She was nervous so they took extra time and patience with her. DO NOT take your dog for grooming to Petsmart. My dog was completely shaved down, clearly not what I asked for! He hasn't been himself ever since I had him groomed. My dog complains every time I give him a bath. His skin has white scabs like he was burnt. His hair has started to grow now after 6 months and it's growing in patches and very thing and keeps falling off. I've had my two Shih Tzus groomed here a few times and have been very pleased with the results. I recommend making an appointment with Sadie, I was very pleased with the job she did on my two boys. Sadie was very friendly and took good care of my fur babies. I have also seen the work that the other groomers do in the salon and the other pets looked awesome too! It's always fun to browse and see what great pet products the store has. I recommend hitting the holiday clearance aisle the day after a holiday, that's the best way to pick up some deals for your pup. read more

This store is very poorly managed. Specifically, there is usually only one cashier present even when there are several customers waiting in line. Management is apparently oblivious to the need to staff employees accordingly in order to expedite the checkout process. On Friday, December 6th, while waiting in the usual long checkout line for the one cashier who was working, I cordially attempted to bring this issue to the attention of an assistant manager, Lauren, who had arrived to assist the cashier with a problem. In response, Lauren became belligerent, hostile, and very argumentative. When I asked for the name of and contact information for a manager, she snapped "I can't do that". (This is untrue, because customers always have the right to contact an employee's supervisor for a complaint or to relay a compliment. I worked in retail at an upscale department store all through college and became an assistant department manager with that store after graduating,) Lauren then began checking out customers, and as I stepped up to purchase my item, I attempted to continue my conversation very cordially with Lauren but, as I was speaking to her, she literally blew me off and began checking out another customer in the next adjoining lane. That was very rude and disrespectful, and when I called her out for disrespecting me, she began screaming "Get out of my store!" When I refused, she threatened to call the police, and I told her I wasn't leaving until I purchased my item which I had patiently waited in line for. Lauren then stopped checking out customers and went to the Banfield clinic, yelling for someone to call the police while I waited to pay for my item. A few minutes later, a gentleman with Banfield walked over to me, took me aside, and calmly and professionally mediated the situation by assisting me with my purchase, listening to me describe what happened, and providing me with the contact information for Arturo Blanco, the Store Leader. Mr. Blanco wasn't available, but I was told to call him the next day, Saturday, when he was scheduled to be at the store. I called the store Saturday to speak with Mr. Blanco twice, but both times the phone rang several times and no one answered. This underscores my initial point, that this store is mismanaged and severely understaffed, since obviously no employee was available to answer the phone. Although I will still attempt to contact Mr. Blanco, I intend to pursue this matter and the way I was treated by Lauren at the corporate level. If Lauren had been my employee when I was an assistant department manager, I would have fired her immediately. Her behavior was unacceptable and unbecoming of someone in a leadership position at PetSmart. Overall, PetsMart is a great store, and I have been a customer for several years. However, I don't recommend patronizing this store (#347) until it changes its attitude toward customer service. read more

I've been buying the 150 box of Top Paw dog pads for quite a few years now but since the pandemic I've noticed these boxes are not packaged the same. The top layer which is usually packed solid were package loosely looking like quite a few were missing. Out of the whole box I also found 5 pads damaged so I wasn't able to use those, & the plastic edges on every pad were creased in such a way that they didn't keep the urine from going on to the floor. He started to itch very badly on his tail and upper back right after the appointment day, It got pretty bad within a few days. My fur baby name is Kanye and he likes getting groomed, but I ask for his toes to be sanded short, never gets done or recently he just got a bath with a brush , again I payed for his nails to be sanded and it was not done. His but area was trimmed, but his hair on paws never touched or his face. I payed for the services but it never gets done. You have to pay first before you even see your dog and do your not aware until later. I have been going to the Livonia store and Lyn was the best groomer there but she transferred to another store. This was the 7th time that I brought my dog in for grooming. The first 6 times, were just OK service, I kept going back because of the convenience of the Huntington Station NY location being so close to my house. This time, I specified in the notes when I booked the appointment he needed the usual grooming, Bath & Full Haircut with FURminator and trimming around my dogs ears, legs and body. Additionally when I dropped my dog off, I spoke to the assigned groomer and we spoke about how I wanted him to be cut all around his body and specified his ears. I was in a rush to pick him up and paid online and grabbed him and left. When I got home I was able to look at him and he only trimmed his paws, nothing on his legs, body or ears. He also still had some dander and the smell of the bath was very faint when typically he smells like shampoo for a week. I wrote to the salon and no response, I then replied to the survey with pictures of proof and they contacted me, apologized and offered a free grooming. I replied in one day that I would take the free grooming and if I could book the appt online or if it had to go through the salon manager. It has been 5 days and no reply. I will not be returning. I paid $145 and gave a tip for a terrible grooming. I will drive further for a true dog grooming salon. read more

I'm not sure if they even bathed my dog- she still had paint in her ears and sleep in her eyes. My main reason for having my dog washed was because her anal glance was starting to smell and it states that anal glance draining in included in the process, I also mentioned that it needs cleaning before she went in for her appointment. When I came to pick her up, her bum was still smelly and when I asked about it, they said they did clean it a bit but I have to take her to the vet to do it, why is it then advertised as part of the procedure?
