I'm super happy with Cali's Pet Grooming! I have VERY furry big dogs (Husky mix and German Shepherd) and at Cali's, they get the undercoat out very well and they look and smell amazing! We have two Siberian Husky sisters who are a year old, and who went for their first professional grooming. One puppy is a swimmer who was matted beyond belief. They worked on her for quite some time, giving her breaks to rest. They had us bring her back several days later to complete the task. The care they both received was special. I had my bf take our cat to this place today and it was the worst customer service and they gave him the worst hair cut. It's honestly hideous, rushed, and un even. My bf went in and had brought the coupon he had from their website that's for a first time for a rescue pet and they do NOT honor it. First they told him they weren't going to accept the coupon because he needed to have proof that he was a rescue so then my bf went home to send pics of the proof of rescue that we have which was fine because it states that on the coupon. And then when he came back to pick him up they told him they weren't going to honor the coupon because "his vaccinations weren't up to date" and then that he needed to have a "vet sign off on the rescue paper". Like really ? When on their website it doesn't state anything about having "up to date vaccines" which we by the way we had at HOME and our proof of rescue is litterally the legit paper that they gave us when we got our cat at a shelter. Either way it was already too late because he had already came to pick him up. Seems like they were just trying to come up with as much excuses they could for us to not use the coupon. It was ridiculous! So $150 and 45 mins later we didn't get to see him til we got home because he was given in his carrier and come to find out his hair was cut all un even. They did a "lion" hair cut which they leave the head, feet, and tip of tail. His feet were left all at different lengths instead of matching with each other and his mane is crooked all around the edge of it. You can tell they rushed it because they said it would take 2 hours and they were done in 45 mins. Now I'm going to have to fix the work that we PAYED FOR it's very upsetting. I will never come here again or recommend this place to anyone unless you want to waste your money! Horrible experience and I feel so bad for my cat ! I used to use a mobile groomer for twice the cost, and my dog comes home from Cali's looking just as immaculate and behaving much happier. My elderly cat recently developed severe matting (apparently it's fairly common when they get old due to not grooming like they use to). I tried to clip her myself ... even bought pet clippers - but no go... Cali's was recommended by a neighbor. I was real hesitant to take her because she has a low tolerance for being handled. They offered for me to bring her in first thing at 8 am so they would have multiple people there to handle her. As expected she was very unhappy ... I could hear her from the waiting room. But it never got so bad that I felt we needed to stop. I opted for no bath or ear cleaning to minimize the stress. The price was the same - $100 - but I was fine with that. I'll brush her regularly from now on and hope we never have to do this again, but if so, I'll definitely bring her back here. Thank you Cali's for the kind, efficient and quick service. read more

Her reasoning was because our dog "cried too much" when they brushed him prior visits. Keep in mind, he was still a pup when we brought him. Our pomeranian did not have issues at two other groomers, so Cali's Pet Grooming must be rough handling our dog. Our pom was also nervous upon going to their clinic. Cali's Pet Grooming's solution was that we needed to "bring our dog more often." Why would I do that? So they can abuse my dog more? But also raise the price from 50 to 80 without advise in advance, I asked them why they raise the price, the reception girl told me because I didn't bring my dog frequently enough as she asked!!!
