When this store opened a few years ago I really didn't want to shop there and stick with the smaller locally owned stores but I have to admit this store is great. The employees are always friendly and happy to help. I have never had anyone rude help me. I use the grooming department for a small dog and a large golden retriever. They always do a fantastic job. Brandy is the best. This is after using two different small local owned groomers too. Bums me out, but like I said, at least I tried. They are awesome about returns. read more

I took my dog here after two unfortunate visits with a Doggies Dream. Normally I never even considered the grooming station at Petsmart as a choice. I considered it a rather low brow choice. Granted I have always had very good service here while shopping for pet products and have never had any problems with thier staff or thier items so I gave it a show. Kristi was GREAT with my dog. She took the time to get to know him and make him feel comfortable. He was done with his grooming earlier than anticipated and the price was wonderful! He seemed very happy when he was done and looked great. I will make Petsmart my new dog grooming headquarters and will recommend it to anyone else who has the preconception that it's "just Petsmart" so it may not be up to snuff. The staff made it great. We were looking for a large fenced in dog kennel and the south Virginia store had just the thing! They were very helpful and set it aside for us. After purchase they helped load the nearly 300# box into our SUV, now we just have to set it up! read more

So I've taken my dog to have his nails trimmed several times here. Apparently due to Covid we now have to have our dogs bathed just to have their nails trimmed. They did not tell me my dog would be there for 4 hours and then called me to let me know they could not trim the nails. My dog was not cooperating and they did not have enough staff to help. Wasted my time, stressed out my dog and still charged me full price. I will not be returning. Disappointing experience. read more

We've been going here ever since we had our dog, Mini. We love this place. We buy food for our dog and our fishes. They're grooming is excellent specially with Janae. I recommend her for a job well done. Our dog smells soooo good and it lasted and didn't shed that much. We had what they called the furminator for our Mini. I so love it and we'll always have her grooming here. :) read more

Just a warning. Seems like Petsmart is universally hiring the absolute laziest brain dead people you can imagine. They will literally do nothing to help you if it takes any thought process or anything outside or their robotic drone work. It's seemingly every location now and Banfield employees seem to be little better. Going to find an alternative to this awful company as I've had about all I can take. Hopefully bother competitor comes in and puts them out of business. read more

At this point, this is where we go for all my dogs whatever. Grooming was amazing. The staff was so kind and didn't make me pay for anything they didn't actually do. The retail staff is so kind and loving to all animals that show up. They have been super helpful with all my questions about getting a new dog. Banfield vet is inside. I haven't had an appointment there yet but they were really nice when I made an appointment. Will update if they suck. read more

This place confirmed my appointment . I had to set it up 4 weeks in advance. They confirmed the day before. Then the morning of appointment they changed groomers saying the gal I booked was not with the store anymore for a few weeks. That would be fine with me things happen. BUT when i showed up they told me that the groomer they transferred me that day to was not available . NO ADVANCE NOTICE. AFTER THEY CONFIRMED AND HAD ME SHOW UP! Now says my dog must wait 4 more weeks to get any opening. Pet smart, you suck! read more

Brooke at Petsmart in Spanish Springs is amazing! Brooke was the first professional to groom Zoe and told us to request her the next time we brought Zoe in. After Zoe was groomed last time Zoe actually lets me brush her now. When I say brush Zoe gets really excited. We just got called saying Zoe was ready for us to come get her. When we told Brooke we would be a bit she told us to take our time and that she would take Zoe for a walk because she liked her so much! The staff is very professional, friendly and perfect for our pup. read more

I'm writing this review mostly about the grooming dept. at this Petsmart. Deni is our groomer and is absolutely amazing. I've dealt with dog grooming for years between 2 different poodles but she is just amazing with our dog Maddie. She is articulate and caring. You couldn't ask for more from a groomer. I hope she never leaves the store and if she does, I'll follow for sure. read more

Took my dog here yesterday to get bathed and nails trimmed and teeth brushed paid extra money for the teeth brushing and ends up that my dogs teeth weren't even brushed so I paid extra for nothing. He smells good like promised but his breath stinks and his teeth are still dirty. I'd recommend checking your dog before you leave the store because we didn't. read more

The manager Judy refused to price match her own store a few days after my purchase and within return policy, when I asked why, she couldn't give any reason, just, "that's how it is". The Reno Petsmart did the match without any hassle right away. read more

i've always taken my dog here for grooming since he was a puppy, always loved their service and he's a full grown dog now- it wasn't until a recently hired male employee groomed him and when picking him up told us that we had to be 'disabled from booking online' in order to have him groomed at a 'slower time' - as i said, i've taken my dog here for 2 years now with no problems until now. booking here is ALREADY a 2 weeks out wait to BEGIN with and now it's even more inconvenient? not to mention when my puppy was signed up for the puppy training course, i had gone through a loss in the family and had to cancel- i reached out to the trainer (who was always texting me if i could make it to class) and explained what happened and she simply did not reply, i texted her once more and nothing so i took it as she didn't care and wanted our money FOR nothing! seeing as he didn't get this training we paid for! This place doesn't care about your dogs and how long you've given business to them. save your money and go somewhere else. i'm fed up. read more

I had just had my dogs nails done here on the September 26th and when I saw his feet and nails at home they were still touching the floor. This is the second time in a row that they were not done satisfactory at all. I sent an email to customer service and explained and expressed my complaint and concerns both times and they do nothing. I received an automated email stating that someone would contact me in the next few days and nothing! They are not cheap and if any are not done then it's pointless. The lack of regard is what's upsetting. I gave them 2 chances to respond or reach out and now I have to leave this review. I agree with a few of the other reviews. I just got a new puppy and I showed up to the store at about 9:20pm, 40 minutes before closing. One of the ladies didn't hesitate to help me find what I need, without even a single glance at the time, and even recommended this helpful puppy coupon booklet that helped me as well! I know my questions are always welcome here, and they're wonderful at what they do. I've also gotten a guinea pig here in the past, and they treat their small animals much better than Petco. read more

Petsmart is a little overpriced on ALL of their items. And, considering they didn't ask us to join their club until AFTER we bought everything, it irked me that we spent that much money. However, since I knew nothing about owning a dog or how to take care of my new little Beagle, they were super helpful and knowledgeable and spent almost 20 minutes with myself and my fiance helping us to find the correct items for our new puppy. The quality of service here is what bumps them up from a three star establishment to a four star. read more

I needed new tags and some food and toys for my dogs. I sometimes shop here because the store is nice and the prices are decent. But let me tell you, the machine they have to engrave the tags is so cool! I customized the font, size and lettering for each tag, and watched as the machine laser etched it. Very nifty! Will definitely be returning for more treats and food soon. Also, side note, the staff was very courteous and helpful, even opening up a new check stand with only myself and one other person in line. I love getting my dogs groomed here they always do an excellent job! The staff is also always very friendly too the only reason I am taking away one star is because every time I visit this location to get a bag of crickets or need something from the fish area it seems that I end up waiting a while before anyone comes to help. I bought two guinea pigs recently from this store only to have to bring them right back due to ringworm in both of them. The staff was amazing at helping with all questions and issues, but the fact that both of them had ringworm when I got them, and nothing was noticed is irritating. I bought a pair of guinea pigs from them that were immediately sick when I got them home. I brought them back 2 days later to get them checked up on and they didn't buy them back from me to take care of them. I asked them to keep in contact with me and they never once called me to tell me what was wrong with them. It took them two days to get them to the vet. I only found out what was happening with them after about a week of calling and they then told me to stop calling because they were under medications and they would call me when they were better. I called again 10 days later to find out they had been better for two days and that no one had thought of calling me back. My next experience was when they started losing hair a week or so later after getting them back and I took them back to check it out. They told me the results would be back in 2 days and later found out it would take 2 weeks. And now my latest experience is that one of them is losing weight and very sick and Barfield Hospital won't even look at them now because my "warranty" on them is over. This has all happened over the last 2 months since I got them. Their only upside is that the people who work there are informative. read more

My dog Lola recently finished puppy training at this PetSmart and we had a great time! Kaylynn is a fabulous trainer and Lola loved going there. Their prices for food and accessories are very competitive with the smaller locally owned stores and everyone is very friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to continuing Lola's training there. read more

Just took my dog in for a nail trim and they did a great job. They were really busy but really nice and it only took about 5-10 minutes once we got checked in. They took a few moments to pet my dog before taking her back to make her feel more secure and also let me know the condition of the nails when I got done and gave me good tips and information about nail care and trimming frequency. I will sure be back to do one of their grooming packages that include more services. I also really liked the store, it was clean and easy to find things while I was shopping. read more

I actually really liked taking my puppy here to be groomed the first two times but yesterday I took her for her third visit and it was pretty terrible. After her first two appointments she smelled great, her ears looked clean and she didn't seem to mind going. This last time I dropped her off at 4 and they called me at 430 saying that she was ready to be picked up. When I dropped her off that day they said she would be done in about two hours which was typical. We usually picked her up in about 1 1/2 hrs. This time she was having a bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, teeth brushing, nose and paw palm, when usually we don't do the teeth brushing. So when they called us 30 minutes after dropping her off I was already concerned. When we got her home we smelled her coat and checked her ears. She still has a strong dog scent (we had taken her to the lake the day before and only gave her a rinse off bath) and her ears are filthy. I honestly believe that all they did was trim her nails and called it good. I am very disappointed. read more
