I recently moved to Sparks from Los Angeles. My dog had knee surgery last year, so I have been very careful with her. I have given some baths in the tub, but she is 60lbs, and I just dont get her as clean as a pro. I also won't cut her nails. I called around and decided Furry Land sounded like a safe bet. The grooming itself was fine. However, the last 2 appointments I have had got cancelled the day before. Then they try to fit me in on random days which is so inconvenient as I work from home and take time off on the days the dogs are getting groomed. Very unfair and very inconsiderate of my time. Then they spread the dogs out over 2 days rather than doing them at once to try to make up for the appointments. I have no idea who my groomers will be now, and I have an elderly dog who requires specific directions for grooming I wanted to like Furryland but they have not been reliable twice in a row. Then didn't offer anything for messing up my work schedule and time. I'm disappointed. I will be looking for another mobile groomer, any recommendations appreciated! read more

They showed up with a new groomer in training and ended up injuring my pup with a corneal abrasion. She brought our dog back in and mentioned that something was going on with her eye which was completely swollen shut. Needless to say she was fine before they groomed her. Groomer did not own up to the injury or even apologize. So now our pup is in a cone for a week on pain meds and eye drops. Dogs can lose the eye after this sort of injury! read more

If you've seen any of my previous reviews on other companies it's pretty obvious I love my dog cookie. I'm very protective of her and after trying to find a new mobile groomer for what seems like forever, I came across Furry Land. I am beyond happy I did. From the request for an appointment through her grooming I was kept informed and the staff answered any questions or concerns I had immediately. Cookie is a chihuahua terrier mix who is 10 years and 1 month old. She is extremely nervous whenever we get into the car and handling taking her anywhere on my own is hard. I tried a few groomers but she would be upset when she got home. I've realized mobile grooming is the answer. She hates loud noises or being too far away from me and home. Dawn (her groomer) today was kind, answered my questions and with the way she let cookie warm up to her it's obvious she loves what she does. My dog needed a haircut really bad and I reached out to them a long time ago. They finally got back to me. The lady doing his hair was late claiming "I thought it was a different time" because she was almost 30 min late, I walked him out to the van because he tends to poop when I hand him over so she thought it was easiest. He comes back to the house and first of all it was $140 (before tip!!!! I pay $85 in California for the mobile groomer!) half of his nails aren't cut, and she gave him a schnauzer haircut (ummm I did a dna test when I got him. He is 50% chihuahua, 24% shitzu, and part rat terrier. Nothing schnauzer), he has some knicks on his nose. Overall I won't use them again and will drive back to Sacramento for my usual groomer who is cheaper and knows my dog and how to style him. I'm going to have to cut his nose hairs and hairs on his forehead because they grow so fast Sorry I don't have a good pic. Also it was $168 after tip.... That is ridiculous ! read more

I have cats, not a dog...and my cats just need their nails trimmed. Apparently that's too small of a job for Furry Land so unless you need a full grooming - these aren't the people to call. We've been using Furry Land for our pets nail trimming for about 6 months now. Our fur baby hates getting his nails clipped. So we thought it would help with his anxiety if we brought the nail trimming to him. It's so convenient to have them come straight to your door, easy to book appointments over text and our dog especially loves Amanda and Morgan! They treat our pup extra nice, knowing about his anxiety and do what they can to make sure he's as comfortable as he can be. It is a bit expensive for trimming but I'm willing to pay extra for the convenience. read more
