We have continued to support this establishment for 5 years because of the awesome groomer Patricia. Knowing full well the owners political views, but today we were told prices had gone up because of President Biden and that that was what they were told to say by the owner. Then we had to listen to the staff comment on how they didn't vote for him and assumed we didn't either. This place was wonderful. The entire staff that I came into contact with was very friendly and offered great advice to me about my pug. We got his nails trimmed and he is a handful but they did such a great job! Jeanie (sorry if I misspelled) was so supportive when I felt nervous about his "whining" in the grooming room. She gave us treats and the grooming ladies helped us pick a product to help an infection he had in his ear. They also offered this place as a way to help transition him into a public setting to get him used to going and getting his nails done. From the looks, it seems like they only carry top quality food and ingredients. Thank you for saving me a trip to the vet, his ear looks better after only one night. I will be back !! read more

Took my dogs here and they did an excellent job! Great prices and friendly employees! They were able to accommodate and put in my pups for a same day appointment. The groomers were super patient with my dog who has anxiety and it showed how they have the right animal loving workers giving excellent service! Will be back! read more

Well, I am no longer a patron of petz place, the groomer I had never seen before said she has groomed my Golden before. Not sure if she clipped my dogs nail too short or what, but she became a bit rowdy. I was outside watching in the window. I went inside, I was told oh, she didn't like the blow dryer...she never had issues with a blow dryer before. Then quickly they said she is ready...I get her, still damp, her legs are shaved, her sides are cut short, she cut where goldens only get trimmed. She didn't even attempt the ears or neck, so...her hair is fuzzy at the neck and ears, golden owners know what I'm talking about. I immediately took her outside, better to not have words while furious. My spouse paid,and tipped her...not knowing how upset I am. It actually took me 2 days to get over my poor dog funky groom. I USE to recommend here, now it's one I will say stay away. It's on my nextdoor app already as where not to get your pet groomed. read more

I stopped to get prices for their pet grooming services and everyone was soooo nice. I was able to get my dog in within the hour. I only paid $30 for bath and brushing plus $10 for deshedding! Wow! The groomer, Alejandra was so nice and she did a good job with Xena! My dog was happy and this place was happy. Good vibes here. I'll have to go back and see about their pet food. I would love to use the drive thru for pet food pickup. Woa! read more

Extremely prejudice and rude!!! I will never spend money here again!! My husband and I visit this place regularly because they recommended a really great food (over the phone) for our teacup Yorkie and Frenchie. They are the only distributor in the area that carries the food, so we obviously go frequently for a squishy little Frenchie that probably eats more than his weight daily! We went today as we normally do and paid for about 4 packs of pumpkin and the rest of their stock in tripett. After paying, I passed the pup off to my hubby and went to the restroom. As I was coming out, I heard the elderly lady at the register say "There she is!"... she ran (literally RAN) up to me and asked if she could help me PAY FOR something. I told her that I already paid and she asked me if I was SURE. After I assured her and explained what I bought, she told me I was "free to go." I was so shocked by her rudeness and direct attack that I just stood at the door for a second. After realizing what was happening and that she was just an evil old lady set in her ways, I told her that she was rude and that how she acted was not called for. A man came from behind the counter and said that she only said "there she is!" because they saw me come in the store and wanted to make sure that they had helped me. A couple that was standing at the register blatantly said "No they didn't...they said you were stealing!" My husband never uses my membership number, and I rarely pick up the food so I don't have an exact amount that I have spent with them this month alone, but it is well over $200 for food, training treats, puppy ice cream, and toys. I am more hurt by this experience than anything. I see racism on social media and the news daily, but today I experienced it personally in Petz Place. I will be ordering the food directly from the distributor for a cheaper price from now on. read more

We appreciate the folks at Petz Place. They always provide helpful suggestions, keep track of our purchases for manufacturer's rebates, and offer quality products. I have never experienced bad customer service or a negative attitude from an employee. With their move to the new location, they now offer a grooming service. The groomers make sure to keep records for our dogs and try their best to schedule with the same groomers each time. You can go to a big box store and maybe (though I doubt it) save a buck or two and deal with whatever you get from the employees. Or you can go to a locally owned, sparking clean, customer oriented store and be happy. We choose happy and go to Petz Place. read more

I have spent a lot of money at Petz Place. Always prefer independent stores to chains. I asked for flea and tick repellent. When I got it home package fell apart. Box said for 4-9 pounds. The serum said 11-20. No directions in box or on dispenser. When I returned it the man just couldn't understand my concern. And of course wouldn't let me exchange it. There was no expiration on any of it. The girl behind counter made a copy of directions. You could see the tape on the bottom of box had not held He made it clear I was wasting his time by expressing Any concern at all. Oh well. Chain store here I come read more

Again the service was superior at Petz Place in Goodyear. I used their new self-serve pet wash for the first time. It was awesome. There is something really special about the vibe in this place. The Christian music playing might just say it all. I highly recommend and encourage you to support this business. I'm hesitant to review this place because I selfishly don't want it to be more busy. The prices are fair, service is excellent and it's very clean. It doesn't make you think twice about leaving your fur children behind closed doors while being groomed--and that's rare. I've had excellent luck with their grooming on my admittedly difficult dogs and they are always fast, kind and inexpensive. Hope they always are able to be so quick when they get busier. Petz place is always overwhelmingly helpful when it comes to my furry friend. The groomers are amazingly sweet, and always making sure the place smells fresh. They're immediately solving the problem when there is an odor in the store. In shopping for my pet grooming needs, the salespeople gave me a great recommendation for my olde English Bulldogge who sheds a ton. Today I was just looking for some treats for my dog and I was approached by 3 different sales people asking if I needed assistance. It felt great knowing there's always someone ready and willing to help if I have a question. Not always the case when at petsmart. Great experiences I've had here so far! read more

First time in store this morning and noticed that they had a variety of quality dog food. However and to my surprise, most employees weren't wearing a mask although it's required in the City of Goodyear. I made my purchase but it left me feeling somewhere between upset and disappointed. I may circle back a second time in the future but if employees aren't wearing masks...I'm out of there and they will not get my business. please come here if you have anxious pets who hate getting groomed/nails cuts!! we came in today with our fur baby (little rat terrier mix) to get his nails grinded. he usually starts shaking instantly in grooming places and will squirm to run out. we've taken him to 3 different Petsmarts and every time we pick him up, he seems traumatized and not himself and just wants out of there ASAP. also the staff have such bad attitudes, they do not make you feel ok/ safe leaving your fur baby. not here! oh no! we handed him over to a Stephanie i believe (sorry if that's the wrong name) and she started consoling him as soon as she got him and he seemed so calm after that. i did not once hear him yelp or bark or even look scared when i seen his face through the little window. not to sound dumb but she just radiated amazing, nurturing vibes that i'm sure the pets pick up quickly and feel safe with her. the manager of the store was a lovely gentleman that answered any questions we had and then some! the store was stocked with his food that we usually can't find anywhere but online! bones and toys were stocked pretty well also! i guess you could say it definitely is petz place haha! Tricia and Alejandra are amazing , we just moved here from California and my little girl has only ever had one groomer and she is 6 years old. They took me in on a cancellation and did an amazing job she looks adorable and they are so gentle and sweet with your pet kids it's so refreshing . The store is amazing and has the best of the best products and the staff is so engaging and polite . Ok, I am a customer and fan from now on! We took our 8-month old rambunctious puppy in for a nail trim. Tricia was kind enough to take him 5 minutes before she was off work. She did a fantastic job, best pedicure he ever had. Asking her afterwards if he behaved ok she just said he was a little wiggly, but that was it. Our vet wanted to knock him out to perform this service. Come again? Nothing wrong with our puppy. You could tell Tricia had experience and knew how to handle him. Absolutely love this place. They have high quality food and treats that fit the dietary needs of my dog. They were even able to exchange my dog food bag after I opened it and put it into a storage container. This was after I realized that the food I brought had chicken, which my dog is sensitive to. I also have my dog groomed by Alejandra. She is AMAZING and have been taking my dog to her before she worked at Petz Place. She even takes the time to recommend products that may be helpful for my dog to improve her skin and coat. Keep up the great work! read more
