After snaking the drain a few times, they ended up having to hydro-jet it to finally clear the clog. Unfortunately the plumber didn't check out other plumbing fixtures in the house to see if there were drainage issues elsewhere. Ends up there were - in the utility sink in the laundry room. This sink is filling up and barely draining during a wash load. I am holding off doing laundry to avoid an overflow situation. So I called 2 Sons on Wednesday, the earliest they could get someone out was that Friday - that was OK with me. Friday morning I get a text that they have to reschedule because of an influx of emergency calls. Soonest they could get out was the following Wednesday. Well Wednesday rolls around and I moved my schedule around to accommodate an 8am-1pm arrival window. When I hadn't heard anything by 1:30 I called. They said the technician is still planning to come, it would just be after 2pm. I said fine I'll be around. So it's 2, then 3, then 4, and not a peep from them. I finally called at 5:30 to see if they were still coming. Mind you, I've been waiting since 8am. Come to find out that they can't make it but they can come Thursday morning, same arrival window, 8am-1pm. Well guess what? It's 1:00pm Thursday and I have not gotten any communication. I call and find out my tech is on a call to estimate a job - in Tacoma - at least 50 miles away. But - he's still gonna make it. Yeah right - in afternoon Seattle traffic? OK... So at 3:30pm I get a text (amazing!) that they can't make it - again - and would I like to reschedule. That's pretty funny. My laundry is piling up and I've sat around for two days waiting for them. Anyway, I posted a project on Yelp, and Homeservice Plumbers were fairly quick to respond after my other Project options (not to be named here) either demanded a phone number or made wishy-washy timing range options (which were not amenable to my schedule). Homeservice Plumbers was quick, to the point, and not pushy or demanding at all anytime I was talking to them. I scheduled for Tuesday between 12-2pm arrival, and Xavier, the first person who came out to see the problem, showed up in a timely manner (just before 12pm!) as he had another service call in the area. He was respectful of property (brought his own shoe coverings!) and was also pleasant to work with. Unfortunately he didn't have the tools, but he was the one to call in Nick who had the requisite tools for the job. He confirmed the service would be possible, and off he went. The next person, Nick was great to work with - he arrived promptly at 5pm (the quoted range was 3-5pm, which was perfectly reasonable), respected the property (brought his own shoe coverings, asked to use a small bowl to capture the grease drippings from the p-trap, and cleaned up after the work was done), and was able to provide a fair estimate for a high value of quality work. He finished by 6:30pm and confirmed the drain was working, and verbally confirmed (it's not on the invoice but I hope I never have issues again!) that there's a one year labour warranty - great deal! I never caught the phone "operators" name (my bad, she called me THRICE and I still never caught her name), but she was cordial, polite, and quickly handled my concerns for updates on when the plumber(s) would arrive. Scheduling through Yelp was simple and easy - and having no "service call" fee means there's no obligation to go through with anything you're not comfortable with. Anyway, short story (really) long: this company is on my list of "high quality work at a fair rate", because (1) they don't charge for service calls, which is a bold move in today's service-oriented environment, (2) they are reasonable with pricing given that I'd done some research beforehand, and (3) they verbally offered a warranty for their services, which means that they're willing to stand by the quality of their work. Call them today for your plumbing issues. Fair, honest, trustworthy service is hard to come by - the companies you see on the billboards aren't the only options in town!

We had success clearing…read morethe first portion of the drain, but needed professional assistance with clearing the rest of the blockage. Eli did a through job up to 50' limit of his auger tool. Based on what I've recently learned with roots growing through drain pipes, I would opt for clearing drain pipes with a mechanical auger rather than a hydro jet since something is needed to cut out the roots. After the initial drain clearing, we paidfor an additional service to get a camera into our drain to see if there was any additional blockage. Hudson answered our questions about whether there were any additional blockages up to 100' (there were none), the path and slop of our drain pipe, and the location of low points in our drain pipe with a tool that identified the exact location of the camera. Though the cost of the appointment to use the camera was not inexpensive, I appreciated that we did learn useful information from the use of the camera.
