First time I scheduled them ( after taping my driveway and hauling 3 big rugs out), they showed up and said they don't do wool rugs, regularly. They didn't have the right equipment. No one asked when I scheduled IF I had wool or synthetic rugs. They told me they'd be back in week with the right equipment. I hauled all my rugs back in. Today, I hauled all the rugs out and taped the driveway. After waiting a bit, I called them. They told me they never scheduled me and I could schedule a new appointment with them. No thanks. PG Long Floor Covering and Carpet Cleaning LLC was hired to clean my carpets but did not clean them. They left without cleaning and recommended replacement without communicating properly that they refused to do the carpet cleaning service. We knew the carpet was borderline, but had a move in scheduled in 2 days and decided to do the best cleaning possible. We didn´t hear back until the late afternoon the day before move in. Now itś an emergency with too little dry time. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. You would think a company that had two disparate services would have professional ethics and separation between cleaning and replacement but don´t be surprised if your ¨Cleaning¨ service call is really just a sales call for a more expensive replacement. read more

As a property manager, I use this company monthly and I am always impressed with the results. Everyone who works for this company is friendly and does a good job. They have streamlined the request process. Instead of calling, you simply send a fax with what you want and the apartment that needs cleaned. This is great because it makes my job easier. Instead of adding another phone call to my long list of people whom I need to call, I can just fill out the order form and fax it over while I am on the phone with someone else. On the occasions that I do need to call, the office staff is always quite friendly. The cleaning technicians are professional. They drive clean looking vehicles and wear uniforms. This gives a nice impression. The people are also friendly and professional, and they don't seem to have a high turn-over rate. I never worry about them working around or in tenants' homes because they are courteous and trustworthy. They also do a good job cleaning carpets. The scent they use can be a little strong for some people, but if you ask them to use less of it they are happy to accommodate that. Tried to get a quote on carpeting from Shane @ PG Long. Shane was very slow to provide information and when I asked for specs on the carpet he only sent a link to a website. This website did not have much information beyond different colors/styles. I was able to get some spec info, but when I asked Shane for more detailed info & that I wanted it quickly, Shane said I should look for another vendor. read more

PG long is very unprofessional and inexperienced. Last year they came to do a job in the apartment that I live in. The installer was not prepared with enough product to complete the job in my apartment. A seam had started coming apart in the hallway of my apartment, that was why it was necessary for the carpet to be replaced with linoleum. As a result of the installer not bringing enough product he only covered a portion of the hallway. Less than a year later then another seam in the same hallway, that should have been replaced by the flooring installer form PG Long started coming apart at the seam...so, again they were called out to re-due the first replacement again. Jon Girt, the manager for Salem came to my apartment to see what needed to be done, he took a picture and left. Only later, after I tripped over the ripped seam, hit my head on the wall and got a concussion, did I realize that when Jon Grit to take a picture, he did not secure the area as he should have. In a response to a demand letter I wrote to PG Long, they sent me a picture of a dog taking a crap... This is who PG Long is...juvenile, incompetent and extremely unprofessional. Don't worry, I have all of the paperwork and pictures from both times they had to come. read more
