The Stratford Square location is probably my least favorite of the three I frequent. It has about the same anime selection that the Fox Valley store has (which is nowhere near as good as the Yorktown store). There seems to be less variety in the Sanrio/cute stuff, too. I think, overall, this store feels smaller than the others. Also, there's a woman who works here that tends to glare at people sometimes. I think she suspects everyone of stealing or something. Which, I'm sure, she sees a lot of in a store like this... but it doesn't really make for a comfortable shopping experience for the honest folks like me! Still, I love Too Cool and shop in one of their locations whenever I get the chance to. It's a very awesome store.

They usually have the summer packages and season's greetings as well. There's also posters, fans, stationary, etc. From my visits so far, I purchased Seventeen's Season's Greetings, Astro's "All Light," and Seventeen's "Boys Be." All of their albums are in great condition, and they usually have more in the back. And if it's a newer album, it usually comes with a free poster! If you're a kpop fan, definitely visit this store! They also have a lot of anime stuff and kawaii products. :)

So recently I told my boyfriend that I wanted to go to a toy store. And yes, I did mean…read morecollectibles, action figures, and the like. He came up with WaxPax, which was really fun to explore! Clearly at one point it was a record shop (the name gives it away of nothing else), and there's still a case of them in the middle of the room, but it's been subsumed by the mass quantities of toys and memerobilia that are crammed into this small storefront! Got a cartoon, sci fi film or other cult classic that you like? Chances are they have something from it. (I even saw a Danger Mouse figurine...does anyone aside from me remember that show?!) Edge your way through the quagmire of collectibles and take your time looking! The only thing I didn't find that I was seeking? Micro Machines! (Not the Star Wars etc. ones; just the old school mini cars. They did have lots of Hot Wheels though.) This place was pretty crowded on a week-end (read: 5 or 6 customers at once, which given the space was practically overflowing). Worth a stop if you are nearby, or a trip if you are a big collector!

Warhammer is the pinnacle, but there are plenty of other options as well, like D&D! They also have Magic, The Gathering and other popular card games, though I didn't see Pokemon among the display cases. The gaming side is top of the line, with plenty of tables and terrain for hours of battle. I fancy myself more of a painter than a gamer and I was impressed with the options for paint, brushes, and tools they had available. I didn't buy anything on my first visit, but my son and friends felt welcomed and were treated kindly, even as teenagers (typically, this has been a challenge). I'm looking to paint an army of space marines soon, so I'll be in to grab some washes and metallics. This place is nerd nirvana.
