The doughnuts are totally delicious and the best I've tasted. I usually pick them up myself, I took away 1 star because whenever I order through door dash they never get my order correctly. If I order a bakers dozen (13) I never get a bakers dozen. If I list my substitutions, they never get those correctly. Better communication is needed. But doughnuts are still warm when they arrive at my door read more

Stopped by here last weekend, but I showed up a bit late. They open at 6 am, so you can expect some of the more popular donuts to be sold out by 11. Nonetheless, there is no "losing" when you come to eat here. I was still able to try some cake donuts: chocolate, blueberry, and cinnamon. WOW. Once again, you can't lose when you come here; try anything and I guarantee it's good. Donuts this good should be illegal, but they're not, so let's party. read more

Located right in downtown St Louis. The unassuming Donut stand was open on a Sunday morning. I bought 2 each of the cake donuts- blueberry, chocolate and red velvet. I also bougth a dozen donut holes. They were so cute. They were in a box and outside it said "You deserve a donut." I bought it for my board meeting and not a crumb was left. read more

The donuts are DIVINE. It's a no frills type of donut shop, with limited seating. It's more of a grab-and-go type of place. These were by far the best donuts I've ever had. They're incredibly soft and the glazed donut holes just melt right in your mouth. The people who work here are kind and extremely patient. Parking is terrible in this area so be prepared to walk a little if you need to get here by vehicle. read more

Went in on a rainy day today, instantly hit with a sweet smell of donuts being freshly made. Everything looks delicious and the inside was nice and clean. I went with the chocolate covered sprinkles, jelly filled, Apple fritter, twist donut, and cinnamon crunch. All were delicious and definitely worth the drive in the rain. Stopped in to try a new place for donuts. A basic small donut shop. We arrived about an hour before closing so the selection was limited. We got a couple long johns, custard filled, jelly, cinnamon roll, apple fritter, glaze twist and blueberry cake. All were good standard donuts. The blueberry cake has a dry texture inside. The apple fritter was good- a bit of crunch on the outside with a cinnamon apple middle. Long Johns looked standard...the icing was really messy. Over all a good stop but it won't become our regular donut shop. read more

Pharaoh's donuts are a delicious sweet treat to indulge in the morning. My only reason for giving 4 stars is because some of them were just a little too sweet for us. We orders a handful of donuts to try a variety. Our favorite were the glazed and lemon(I think?) custard filled donuts. The apple fritter was good but sweet and so were the oreo and crumb cake donuts. Silly me forgot to take photos of the actual donuts but I did remember to take a picture of the packaging because I thought it was just so cute! read more

Welcome to another edition of Saturday morning donuts for work. This morning I stopped at Pharoah's Donuts. I'd been about 2 times before which is good because if you don't know where you're going it's not really obvious there's a donut shop in a random building downtown under a parking tunnel (7th & Pine.) When you get out of the car you can smell the donuts though so that's promising. I went with a dozen and they give you 13. Their donuts are great. One of the better shops in town. Their glazed donuts could probably stand up to anyone's. My coworkers were super happy. YUM. read more

Really good donuts. In STL for a conference which led to two morning trips to Pharaoh's. The first day service was unnecessarily slow and staff was a bit rude when I asked if a donut was maple ... I was informed it was caramel. Oh well, it was good. Second trip the staff was very friendly and helpful. If I'm ever in STL again I would return. read more

This little spot was right at the corner of our Airbnb and I found it after searching for the nearest coffee place. I walked down the street and there it was... From the outside, it didn't look like it was open there is a small sign out front that mentioned donuts and pointed to the door which was teally helpful. The donut case is to the left snd had a decent selection of standard, glazed and cake donuts. The cinnamon rolls are massive and the donuts are a nice size too. The gentleman at the counter was so sweet and seemed to appreciate everyone's business. I love supporting small businesses and the quality here can't be beat. The donuts were better than Dunkin and Krispy. Stop by Pharoah's and spread the word to support and indulge. read more

PD is a great additional to the CWE (Their new location right next to Busey Bank and Blue Mercury in space formerly occupied by Coffee Cartel, RIP). I tried the blueberry cake (Delicious!), red velvet (Great!), and apple fritter (very good)! I am a big fan of blueberry cake donuts and this was the perfect one. Not too dense, well-glazed, perfection. The apple fritter didn't have very much apple in it and was more like a cinnamon roll in flavor. Very good but missed on the apple. The red velvet is just like the blueberry cake in style, but obviously a different flavor. It was very good! The place is small inside but they are quick, attentive, and the prices are really good. Grab a donut and walk around the CWE. STL has a lot of great donut places throughout the city but none really close to the CWE area. This is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood that I hope is able to stick around for a long time! read more

This little cute donut shop across the street from my hotel was open. I got an apple fritter, two glazes, and one cinnamon donut. I found the donuts to be a little sweet but in a good way. Finally had a chance to try Pharoah's Donuts ,after years and years of hearing other people tell me how good they were ..........well here is the verdict. Glazed donuts 3/5- The glazed is too sweet like Krispy Kreme's (which I don't like) however for some reason unlike Krispy Kreme, it wasn't straight sugar no mass. This donut has some bounce. You know like more bounce to the ounce. Every time I took I bite the donut would rise go down and come back up like bed mattress. So even though I tasted too much glazed when the donut 1st entered my mouth , by the time it got to my stomach I had mass appeal of donut and not sugar ( unlike Krispy Kreme).. I think it's the yeast lol Jelly donut: 4.5/5 Im not one to usually try jelly donuts. They are just not my thing, but this place's jelly donuts were looking too good not to try. And it was like WOW this donut is fit for a king. Not too sweet on the glaze and the jelly kisses your tongue at the right time like "Hello I'm here, did you miss me" Chocolate long john: 3.5/5 its so yeasty and almost crispy !! Pharoah's are hands down my favorite donuts in STL. Usually, I try to go on Saturday mornings right after cycle. It's downtown, so if you go on a Saturday afternoon, parking can be hard to find. The entrance is pretty inconspicuous, so just look for the sidewalk sign on the corner of 9th and Pine. The guy that's always behind the counter is super friendly and is enthusiastic about the dones! There is nothing like their fresh glazed donuts. Of course, I am also a sucker for their caramel iced donuts and their blueberry donuts! Whew!! So good. Soft and delicious! They are not known for having a ton of variety or super out their options, but the donuts they have are worth every penny and more. read more

Hole in the wall, very bare bones decor downtown. The service is personal, so it can be brusque, bright, cheery or grumpy depending on who you are talking to. The donuts are masterpieces, and exactly suited my taste. They are on the larger side, not little sugar bombs, but not flavorless puff balls either. They had a lovely texture, good glaze and the filling was not overly sweet, so I could actually distinguish the flavor components. read more

We were just at a Yelp event where we had the unexpected pleasure of fresh assorted donuts. The classsic glaze was a solid 5 from every person at our table of 6. They were absolutely melt in your mouth pure deliciousness! I'm sure you"re thinking, "a glazed donut- unoriginal and uninspired" ... however, that is not so. Sure, it's a classic take but when you can make something ordinary stand out, you're doing something right and these are RIGHT! What a weird place. We really wanted to like it, but couldn't. We showed up at 9am on a weekday. The donut case was pathetically empty with only 4 basic options. None of the exotic pictures you see on here. The donuts were fine. They're basic donuts. Hard to mess them up. The workers were nice-ish. Typical complacency and apathy that you see at poorly run establishments. Place was dirty, coffee was empty because the complacent workers didn't refill it, bathroom out of order, and the employees weren't professional - lots of bickering amongst themselves, complaining, no service, etc. All in all, if you're nearby and want a basic donut, this place is fine. But, do NOT go out of your way thinking it's some kind of gem. read more

Absolutely amazing donuts! Each kind you could get are huge and they all looked too good and they're pretty cheap too, got a box of 8 for $11. I love donuts. I honestly make it my business to go out of the way to try any and every donut spot. So with that I was excited to give Pharaoh's a try because all of their sweets look amazing. The first one I tried happened to be apart of the donut burger with Mac's (available Sunday's only) and I knew immediately I had to try more. My husband surprised me one day and brought back a half dozen before he went to work. The apple crumble I had was so delicious! Super moist and fresh. Basically a pillow of heaven. They also have cakes. Which I am looking forward to getting one for my daughter's upcoming graduation/birthday/Navy enlistment celebration and my husband's bday. They won me with their Chicago Bears cake. read more

If you are looking for a fresh donut at a fair price. I found what you were looking for. Even though the selection is a little thin (a dozen varieties but lacking cake donuts or my personal favorite- tiger twists) they make up for it with guality. Every donut is made fresh right before your eyes. On my first visit I had a glazed ring along with a maple bar(long john). The glazed donut was light and airy while the maple bar was perfect. Right sized with an ample amount of maple icing. I noticed they make buttermilk donuts. So perhaps I was wrong. As my memory serves me a buttermilk ring donut is a cake donut. Now if they would only carry a tiger tail. (A kneeded raised glazed donut alongside a chocolate raised donut). Yum! Keep up the good work. read more

Walking distance from Busch Stadium and Hilton Ballpark Hotel. This place really is a MUST stop when you're in STL. Donuts are AMAZING. We stopped here on our way out of town and were not disappointed. The sign is a bit hard to notice and blends in with the building but it's there and it's worth a visit. Not really any room to sit down and eat so plan on grabbing a box to go. If you need a large order call ahead and they will have it ready to go. read more

Hands down the best donut I've ever had. They sold out this morning and opened back up for Round 2 at 1pm and it was so worth the wait. I ordered a blueberry cake donut and a cheesecake donut. The blueberry cakes were light, fluffy and blueberry bombs. The apple fritter was like a light, fluffy deep fried apple pie...great cinnamon and tart apple...maybe the best I've ever had. The custard filled chocolate is my personal litmus test...this one was good but not great. Could have used more custard BUT is there ever a bad donut??? NEVER. Glad we stopped in and will do so again. FYI there is seating inside and plenty of off street parking. Plus the light at Morganford / Seibert makes going an easy in / out. Oh and there is a drive thru...way too easy.

A Cautionary Tale (a real one, not a tall tale): First, I…read morecan't say that I'm writing a super fair review, because I haven't ever been into this donut shop. But my mom bought us some donuts from Olde Towne Donuts. I had a bite of a chocolate cake donut and it tasted fine. However, after eating a chocolate Long John, my 15 year old son informed me that he needed his rescue inhaler and some Benadryl pills, because he was having an allergic reaction. We didn't eat anything unusual for dinner. And the donut was the only other thing he ate. When I called the shop to ask if they use any kind of soy protein or pea protein in the ingredients- sure enough, they do. Before calling, I had searched on their facebook page a little to find out it if they had some special feature to their donuts- like "healthier" because of added protein, but I didn't see any mention of ingredients. When I called to ask, the girl who I initially asked wasn't sure what kind of ingredients they used, so I guess a head baker or owner got on the phone and confirmed that they used soy protein in their donuts. I'm not mad- thankfully my son was pretty quick to recognize it and was home where we were able to give him what he needed right away. Still, I caution not only customers with allergies or sensitivities, but I also have a strong word of advice to the owners: if you don't already have notices of this added protein ingredient posted in the store clearly as a warning, as well as on your website/ social media pages, I urge you to do so. It could seriously be a matter of life or death. My son has what people typically refer to as a "peanut allergy"; people who truly have that allergy are not allergic to nuts (I suppose someone could also have a nut allergy on top of it), but they are allergic to much more than just peanuts; it is a legume allergy. Legumes are plant foods formed inside pods, like beans, peas, and pea"nuts". Nowadays, there are so many unexpected foods that can cause an anaphylactic reaction for people with a legume allergy, because so many processed foods have protein as a filler (like highly processed frozen chicken nuggets). And now manufacturers are proud to boast their food item has "added protein". It is the legume protein that causes the severe allergic reaction, known as anaphylaxis. Which can often occur immediately upon ingesting the allergen and the life threatening symptoms can progress in just a matter of minutes. Thankfully, my son's reaction is not immediate- he usually has at least 30min before it becomes serious requiring immediate intervention, and lately he's been able to curb it by taking Benadryl, but he has had many ER visits and epinephrine as a young child. I have often been warned and urged by nurses and doctors not to take the risk of waiting, but to use the EpiPen injector and call 911 as soon as it is realized that ingested an allergen- even before symptoms- or as soon as he has symptoms -even if he's not sure he ingested an allergen. My point in sharing all of this is to emphasize the importance and seriousness of the matter. Please make it known to your customers in some obvious way (and certainly such that your employees would know) that your delicious donuts are made with soy protein (or pea protein or chickpea protein, or lentil protein- believe me, those are all used as added plant proteins.) Reading labels is second nature to our family, but it's so hard when something fresh made incorporates the allergen into their food that would not typically have added proteins. We love donuts and have eaten them from so many different donut shops and houses of donuts all over the country, but never encountered a hidden allergen in the dough. Let the people know, please!

Another friend did the soup and sandwich combo and loved it. Our server was really sweet and forgot a couple things but honestly given how slammed they were I completely get it. The bread lives up to the hype. Definitely a must if you're in the area and want a really solid lunch.
