This place deserves zero stars for their tactics, dishonesty, and bad business. It's nothing but a scam! I was in San Diego in 2023 and got lured in by their $49 facial offer. I went to the one in Coronado. I had no intention on purchasing anything else, let alone an 8 session facial pack. I told them I don't even live in CA but do plan on visiting more often. The woman then told me that they would never expire and I could transfer them to my friends and family if I wanted. Then she continued her pushy tactics and was relentless. I somehow ended up leaving there after spending an additional $4200 on substandard skincare. But that's not it...I returned to CA and tried to make an appointment but discovered they are permanently closed! No emails, no forwarding info, no refunds. Zero communication. I started looking for more info on this place and it sounds like I'm not alone. They are true con artist and care about nothing but $. Greed. I think they set up shop at different locations, lure people in to purchase their crap and packages with no plan to fulfill their obligation. How shameful. Anyone have any info on the owner? Just got the skin tightening facial offered on a social media site for $50 Location and parking are good, facility was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly, my esthetician, Allie, was very nice, did a good job and explained everything she was doing. I knew very little about Pharmaciopy before I went and preferred to wait until after treatment to form an opinion. I get regular facials (about once a month) but Seal Beach is a closer location for me so I thought I'd give it a try. Manager Eli, took me upstairs to the treatment areas, I immediately felt the hocus pocus beginning, with the light/picture machine etc. Of course my picture evaluation said my skin was in "poor" condition. then it started to feel a bit like the guys in the Mall that chase you down... hawking creams, soaps etc. They had products to fix everything. I was led to a nice treatment room where Allie proceeded to give me a decent facial, explaining all of the things she was doing (they have LOTS of "Special Machines" here!) Here's where things got really weird. When my esthetician left the room to get another Magic Machine, I heard a male voice (I recognized as the manager) yelling at a female that sounded like my gal. The first words that really caught me were "I don't care what YOU think" it went on for several minutes and the male voice was very harsh with the girl. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and uncomfortable for me to hear while I was supposed to be getting a relaxing treatment. I asked my esthetician if her boss was yelling at her and in a very professional way she said "oh, no, he just talks really loud" I felt she didn't want to jeopardize her job by throwing him under the bus. But whatever the case, it was unprofessional and uncomfortable for me to hear. Of course after my treatment I got the Obligatory sales pitch trying to sell me thousands of $$$ of lotions, potions and gadgets as well as a package of several treatments. Even when I try new products at my Dermatologist's office, my regular facials or even the department store I never buy them the same day. I like to see what my skin is like after a few hours up to a few days later. I told the manager this right up front and of course the price started dropping tremendously. I told him again I would have to wait a few days to decide and he assured me the lower prices would still be good. It's only been a couple of hours since my treatment. My skin does look clean and hydrated (as it always does after a facial) but it is also beginning to itch a but so I might have a slight allergy to some of their ingredients. In any case between the sales tactics and the unprofessional behavior I doubt I will ever go back. read more

Great staff! Everyone was very helpful and very professional. The facility is very clean and the services are wonderful here. My age is 33. But unfortunately the skin analysis machiene shows your "skin age" up to the third layer of the epidermis and it said I was 36. I had congested pores from holiday celebrations and traveling for the last two months. And when I left today my skin looks a lot clearer and tighter...my pores also look smaller! I did microdermabrasion, Cryo, HF, cold therapy, with a boost! Marcia was the gal who did my service. The reason I gave four instead of five stars. My stepmom invited me to try their advertised facial on Instagram, and if you see the same let this be a warning not to go. Their 'website: is not user friendly which should have been a red flag and then when we finally managed to call it went to a call center, from there someone called to confirm and we even got a confirmation text. As soon as we get there I knew it was like one of the kiosks at the mall where they just try to push their product, this was made more evident by someone on the sidewalk trying to get people from the street - this to me was a huge sign that this place is a scam. When it came time for us we were told they double booked and there was only time for 1 person in an hour and another in the afternoon. What's the point in that? After we left they texted if we wanted to reschedule because we 'missed our appointment' and after we said no they asked if we had even shown! So really we dodged a massive bullet and I really advise you just check out Groupon specials in your area. This place is a straight up scam and a joke. read more

PLEASE take your money elsewhere. Owners treat their staff terribly (yelling at them during services, firing without just cause, and profiling their workers). Most of their 5 star reviews are because they bribe you with a free item if you leave them a good review!! They are literally under review on yelp for fake reviews to make their business look good. The Esthetician dropped the light contraption on the concrete floor 2 times before dropping it on my FACE She was very apologetic but with a little more care she could have avoided it. The facial was marginal at best. She Finished by covering my face with a mask then sending me downstairs where the HEAVY sale pitch began for various pieces of equipment and treatment packages. They were offered for sale at a "today only" price. When I was finally able to convince them that I wasn't buying anything besides the facial, the sales lady ran a wet cotton round over my face. Didn't even bother to properly remove the mask. I left with major debris all over my face. Shameful treatment Avoid this place! read more

First of all they will offer you a free toner in exchange for a 5 star review. After a simple introductory facial, they offered me thousands of dollars in products and a Lefay; Radio Frequency Face Massager Facial for $5000 which I declinen but I purchased a $500 packet for two facials. I booked one of my facial for Mother's Day a month before the date. On Friday, prior to my appointment they called me and tried to cancel my appointment with the excuse of since it was Mother's Day they were having something going on. They kept my appointment but it was the worst facial ever. Yes a waste of my Mother's Day and all I wanted was to get up and leave. The aesthetician did not have a clue of what a facial was. She was wearing gloves, large gloves and kept putting product with a nasty smell. She asked me what areas I wanted her to work but nothing what I asked was accomplished. She just kept applying and cleaning the product. No massages at all. Also she kept leaving the room during the 35 min "facial". Still writing this review is very upsetting to think the horrible experience. Please, avoid this place, at least this spot in Seal Beach. Very pushy sales people and way overpriced product. I wish there was an option for minus stars, I would have chosen that option. read more

WARNING: SCAM ALERT I was tempted by a great entry level offer to experience a PHARMACIOPY treatment, and since I like to discover new places, and Seal Beach wasn't too far, I decided to give it a try. This was mid January 2024. The location was super cute, the staff were really friendly and attentive and by the end, since one treatment wouldn't do anything much, decided to buy the treatment package offered at a discount for signing on that day. It was not mentioned that the special wasn't refundable. I had my doubts about making it to Seal Beach six times within a year, and said so, but got super sold by the charming, friendly team. I did not check the small print -- that this was a non refundable commitment. Two weeks went by and I decided to call to book the second treatment. No response, and so I left a VM. I called again a bit later, no pick up, no call back. A few days went by, same thing. There was no way to book an appointment without contact with a human at the location. Now I was suspicious. I'm a business owner. You do not create a successful business by not returning calls, replying to messages or offering any explanation. So within another week, I called my credit card company to refund the purchase. I was so sour on whole thing by now, in addition to the inconvenient travel time that if all had gone well, I probably would have dealt with. My Credit card company issued a refund. I guess within the month, PHARMIOCOPY replied with a copy of my contract, which showed that the purchase was non refundable. My Credit card company honored the charge, even though I had kept calling and I was defending myself by saying, why could they respond with a copy of their receipt, but not find the time or trouble to respond to me or pick up the phone? Today... finally, three months later, someone picked up the phone. She knew who I was, that I had requested and gotten a refund. She knew that they had gotten my charge returned to them. (By the way; by now I had Googled them and found a ton of horrible customer experiences all over North America. I had no idea that they did this all over Canada and the USA.) I said what was this the first time in over 90 days that they had replied. She said that they did, April 9th and that I didn't pick up -- that it wasn't their responsibility if I didn't pick up their call. (Not true. My phone log shows no missed call.) They said they could give me one third of the price as a refund. I said no, that I had talked to my lawyer and would sue them. She said she would call me back to ask management for a higher amount by the end of the day. I never got that call. read more
