Someone tell me this chicken isn't pink.
Jessica B.

I had a friend tell me this was the best chicken sandwich he'd ever had. So I tried it. On lunch from work, came to try it out. I brought it back halfway through because I noticed the chicken was a little pink and translucent. When I brought it back to the cart, the cook came out front and said that it's fully cooked. Then continued to fight with me about it, even ripped the chicken open to show me more pink, and tell me that it was fully cooked. I've worked in restaurants a long time...I've been a cook. My first job in restaurants was as a cook in an organic farm to plate restaurant. When organic dark meat chicken is fully cooked, it looks pink. I got a lot of complaints about that, and I explained that to people. When they weren't COMFORTABLE eating it, I had no problem making another plate for them, because that's customer service. And that was me as a cook... So when I asked the cook what kind chicken it was, she said chicken breast. Is it organic? She said no. When she insisted it was fully cooked, I said ok, so when I get salmonella, should I just come back and let you know? And she said, "YEAH. But you won't, because it's fully cooked." I. Was. Floored. She then went on to say that if I didn't like her food, then she could give me a refund. I was speechless! I just stared at her and eventually said, "look, I'm not attacking you or your cooking. I don't usually do this. But if I'm not comfortable eating something--" "Then you have 2 options. I can give you a refund, or I can make you a new one. What would you like?" Man...I probably should've just gotten a refund, but I only had 30 mins for my break, and I was starving. So I asked for another one. The cashier was sitting behind her for all of this, and he was so embarrassed. When she walked away, he whispered "sorry" to me and I just shrugged. He ended up walking the food out to me when it was ready, which didn't include the two pot stickers that were in the first box that I'd brought back, and apologized again. Sadly, the sandwich wasn't even that good...the chicken is battered and came out in 2 pieces, one of which was mostly breading. I really wish there was at least some redemption there.

It was ok. The chicken could use some moisture, a bit bland and dry for my liking. My first time here. The jurey is still out on if I'll come back.

Beautiful little cart, great food and service.

De-licous! I got the Miso Ramen which should just about make this cart famous. For a small price you got a lot of what you pay for and it's tasty!

Delicious food at a nice price. We all decided to go with the Korean beef Galbi bowl (see pic) Thank you for the great service. We will be back soon!

Mr. Miyagi would be proud of this burger! Some potsticks to sound it off.

Typically at most Chinese restaurants, especially fried dishes, you'll see a pool of oil at the bottom of the dish. This is not the case here, and their sauces also keep their oil usage to the minimum. The food doesn't feel as heavy, and they nail most of their Szechuan flavors well. Their service is always fast and friendly. There is a gentleman in glasses that is always happy to serve and answer your questions. He is always happy to pack your food for you to go if you have leftovers as well, which is a lovely gesture. They have very cute decorations inside, from lucky cats with fortune cookies in their mouths, or a painted wall with a Panda cooking delicious food. I'd steer clear from their soup dishes, most of them lack flavor. I highly recommend their Chopped Pepper Fish and their Jade Tofu items though. Very flavorful and not very heavy! Plenty of parking is available which is lovely for eating in Portland, do not let this spot be missed if you've never tried it!

It was so delicious that I brought my spouse back for dinner when he arrived later in the weekend. When I went the first night I got the shrimp pad Thai and it was the best pad Thai I've had in a long time. So full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I also got the hazy IPA from the local brewery, Backwoods. When we came back later in the weekend, my spouse got the shrimp pad Thai since I sang its praises. I got the million dollar shrimp tom kha ramen and it was DIVINE! I literally cherished every slurp and bite, it was so incredible and flavorful! My spouse got a different local IPA and I got a unique twist on a Negroni. The staff were extremely friendly helpful, ensuring that we had an impeccable experience from start to finish. Prices were also reasonable for the high quality ingredients, quantity, and presentation. The ambiance was wonderful, offering a clean, welcoming, and modern-green chic aesthetic. Not only did we have an amazing dinning experience, but also an amazing service and ambiance experience! If we are ever in town again, Buranko Cafe & Bar will be our top spot to stop!

The inside still looks really cute, but my mom and I didn't get to sit in the woven chairs even though it was pretty empty when we went. I probably should have asked to move tables, but I didn't want to make it a hassle for the staff. We ordered the cheesy crab wontons, shrimp pad thai, and crispy chicken. The crab wontons were really good , crunchy and filling are well seasoned it wasn't just stright up cream cheese, I enjoyed them a lot with the sweet chili sauce. The crispy chicken was also really yummy, can't say the same for the the pad thai tho it was so, so salty. I'll continue to come back in the future!

Since it was my first time, I asked the staff for a recommendation. They suggested the bibimbap and mentioned it was on the spicy side, which I was totally okay with. While their cocktails looked really tempting, I ended up getting a Mexican Coke, and I loved that they had it. The bibimbap was absolutely delicious. It had so many different flavors and textures, and somehow they all worked perfectly together. The waiter also suggested mixing everything together before taking the first bite, which I really appreciated. The ambiance was super cute, with a cozy little tiki-bar vibe inside, and they also have a few outdoor tables. The service was exceptional throughout. This is an easy 5-star review from me.

Brunch in Portland, Oregon…read more.. After I read reviews about Portland's Chinatown, I searched for a dimsum place outside of Chinatown and found Jade Rabbit I liked the name of the place and saw that they had two kinds of rabbit-shaped dimsum! Another cool thing is that their menu is vegan... that means that I don't have to worry about dairy products that give me pain. We found free street parking about a half a block away and waited for Jade Rabbit to open at 11am. We didn't have reservations, but we're seated immediately. The decor was great! I enjoyed looking at all of the Rabbit figurines! The furniture was colorful and the convenient restroom had interesting decorations, too! The service was okay. Some items were not available and our server recited the list that included chow funn. Shucks! She came back later and said that the chow funn was, in fact, available... yay! Our server seemed a bit nervous as her hand shook and placed the special menu upside-down... LOL! We won't bite you! She recommended the Ube Jam drink - it was made with coconut cream... yes! The chow funn was a bit bland. We added some soy sauce. The Puto Pao Bunny Bao had an unusual flavor - maybe the brown sugar can be omitted because the black garlic and vegan pork might be fine without it? The Jade Rabbit Dumplings also could be more savory. Something was off... and the filling was a bit sparse. Anyway, maybe we could have ordered better, but we got what we wanted! Thank you for the cute food! Note: 22 percent is added to the bill - so no need to tip.
