Came in and ordered the chicken pad Thai and papaya salad. Overall really good experience. The papaya salad was fresh and crisp with a nice balance of tangy and savory. It had just enough kick without being overwhelming. Definitely a great way to start the meal. The chicken pad Thai had good flavor and the chicken was tender. My only complaint is that it was wetter than I am used to. I usually prefer pad Thai that is a little more dry and stir fried, but that is just personal preference. The taste itself was still solid. Service was friendly and the staff were welcoming. Food came out pretty quick. Parking in the lot can be a little limited depending on when you go, but there is street parking nearby so it was manageable. Admittedly, I've never sat down in this restaurant for a meal, so can't write about the ambiance or service. What I can write about is the food because whenever I order in, which is rare, I always order Thai from Thai PK Restaurant. They came up on my door dash app and after reading the reviews, I decided to order dinner from here. It was so delicious, arriving piping hot and perfectly cooked and seasoned, I've ordered several more times over the past two years. Consistently fab! My go-to for Thai, and what I always crave, is the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) because I love wide rice noodles, the veggies they stir fry (Chinese broccoli , red pepper and onions) and the hint of heat from ginger and chiles. Yum! Perfection in a dish. The ginger hits you as soon as you open the container, and I have to eat a bite or two before I even plate it. Yes, it's that darn good! I always order double protein, typically chicken, for another $3.50 which means I get two full dinners from one order. The food heats up easily in the microwave, in less than a minute, and I get to enjoy this delicious meal again the next night. The salad rolls are also yummy! I order them so I that I have lunch already prepared for the next day. With shrimp or chicken, dipped in their homemade peanut sauce, it's a perfect, satisfying lunch. I've frequented this Thai place a couple times now and my go to is the Green Curry ($15) and Thai Tea ($5) to go! This time, I ordered online on their website and it was a very smooth process! I've eaten in the restaurant before and the ambiance was fine :) It's usually pretty quiet and there's a lot of seating. The curry was pretty solid! It came with eggplants, pork and veggies and it was delicious! I do feel like it is a little expensive however for the amount of stuff that's actually in the curry..I also heard from a couple friends that they used to have lunch specials, but they don't have that anymore :( As for the Thai tea, I LOVE it!! was really refreshing and very authentic, and well worth the cost! read more

We went there for dinner on Tuesday night. It's not crowded. I feel like all the restaurants are like that now. The food is delicious. Pad Thai is the best I've had so far. Noodles are tangy and flavorful. Vegetarian Massaman curry has lots of vegetables in it and plenty of sauce to go with the rice. Shrimp soup noodles's broth is light and tastes good. We have been coming here for years and haven't had anything we don't like. The veggies are always cooked but crisp, good flavors on the sauces. The green apple crispy fish salad is a show stopper. One of the best and most unique salads you will ever have (dressing is a mix of lime juice and fish sauce and an excellent balance for someone who does not love an aggressive amount of fish sauce). Everything about this place was excellent--from the rich curries to the perfectly seasoned noodles. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. Used to be my favorite Thai to go in PDX, but the last few times I have gone i have been disappointed. I found the service to be wonderful adn the food flavorful and delicious. Recently, I have found things to be different. I have celiac disease and my last few visits they have not been able to accommodate the gluten allergy the same way they used to. I'm embarrassed to say it took several visits to Thailand to try Tom Yum soup, or anything Tom Yum-related. But when I finally did a few weeks ago, I fell in love. I tried several places in Portland to try a hot and spicy soup like you do in TH. Most places were very tomato soup-like. I was hesitant to try here, but I was really craving a good bowl. My husband picked it up on the way home. It did not disappoint!! He ordered it 4-star spicy, and it was actually spicy! I usually order mine as spicy as you can get it, and it's usually super mild. This was perfect! Make-your-nose-run spicy. It had a ton of chicken and seafood too. It did not lack. My husband ordered Massaman curry and it was excellent. Nice spice for him at 3 stars. I've only been here during lunch hours and each entree I've ordered always came with a free soup! It's like a veggie hot and sour soup. It's not the greatest, but it is free and keeps your tummy happy until your actual entree comes! I usually get the basic fried rice, and the pad kee mao which I love! Sometimes the meat isn't the most flavored, but the over all dish is great! I love the fact that you can get in and out in 30 mins or less when you dine in! Thai PK is a great option for takeout during these uncertain times. Ordered pad thai with beef for take-out and they said they'd be ready in 10 minutes! Arrived and it was ready to go, and piping hot. Really friendly staff in my few minutes of interaction with them. They have huge portions, and it was very affordable too! ($10.50 at the time of this review) There is also a parking lot with easy access that makes pick-up a breeze. The restaurant itself was not open for seating, but it was very cute, with ample seating and plenty of lighting. Looks like a great place to check out for dine-in when the time comes. I found this place looking through Yelp. And I'm glad I did. It was not too busy as I am visiting from the East Coast so I was eating there about 330 4 o'clock. Service was very good and fast. Lots of choices to choose from. I had the coconut shrimp for appetizer and the yummy Yum dum soup with chicken. And went with the pad Thai chicken. All was very good! I was asked if I wanted hot sauce which of course I did and they brought out a nice selection to choose from. I could only eat about half of everything but wanted to have that selection to try. I have driven by this restaurant 100 times and always wanted to try it. I'm so glad I finally did tonight. It is the best Thai food I've had in Portland. There are two places in Lake Oswego, I thought they were good but I have to say that Thai PK is way better and worth going to!! The stirfried rice with shrimp was great, the eggplant was fantastic and the sweet mango sticky rice was a great way to end the meal. Highly recommend this place! I will be back ASAP! read more
