Lately they've been offering a buy one get one combo at this location on Mondays and Wednesdays, so I decided to see how they fare against Titas kitchenette, the other Filipino deli take out in the same complex. I showed up at noon during the food rush, and they already have multiple dishes ready to serve. For the price of a one, two or three item combo or a grilled bbq combo, you can get a second one for free. At this time, the two item combo I paid for was $12.50 plus tax. I got the pickled bittermelon, pork adobo, curry chicken and the pink pork adobo with half pancit and half rice. They all tasted rich and fresh. It's also a pretty good deal for leftovers or if you're looking to feed a family. They also speak english and at least tagalog, so I would recommend this place for a fast meal.

Chicken BBQ 12" (Each) too rough for taste. Tossing within few bites.

I ordered from DoorDash and so I decided to try the Philippine food for a change. Loved DoorDash cux it bring all ethnicities food to your door without actually go out of your way I order a squid , BBQ chicken , some noodle dish , and a soup . From the order, I was looking forward to the BBQ, instead I got a hard overcooked chicken... It's a disappointment for me. The squid on the other hand was delicious but they didn't bother to cut in pieces I had a bit of struggling w it. But since it was tasty. I overlooked at it's lacking precut of the dish.

Their desserts are to expensive. I got a buko. Pandan for $7.00 :/ Hope they put price to on their labels. I was shocked when I was paying it was that expensive.

I love this spot & the BOGO special hits the spot but some of the employees have the IQ of a doorknob.

I have a loved one in a nursing facility in North San Diego and the staff there provide the kind of compassionate care that comes with dignity. After experiencing another facility that was so heartbreaking it left me questioning everything. I wanted to do something meaningful to thank this incredible team. A card didn't seem like enough. Flowers fade. But good food? Good food creates memories. I ordered the sisig, pancit, and their famous signature lumpia rolls, along with pandesal from Valerio's. Ordering was a breeze. I placed my order at 9:30 a.m. and picked everything up at 4:00 p.m. Three small trays turned out to be an incredible amount of food. I planned for 10 people, but it fed a whole lot more as many from different units gathered to share. The moment that sealed it for me happened before a single tray was opened. A nurse I had never met walked over and said, "Oh, you went to Tita's. I recognized their lumpia." That gave me chills because I knew I had chosen the right place. The food tasted like it came straight from Mamasan's kitchen, authentic, comforting, and made with love. Staff members kept stopping by to thank us, and my only conidition, "Make a plate for the receptionist. He's awesome too." That is what great food does. It creates connection. If you're feeding family, friends, coworkers, or an entire care team, Tita's Kitchenette delivers more than delicious Filipino food. They help you show appreciation in a way people will remember. We were in the Point Loma area close to SD airport and Tita's was about 10 mins away. Getting there was a maze freeway wise and when we got there, while the line was out the door, moved quickly. We ordered several combos and from what I can recall beefsteak, pancit, adobo, lumpia, sinigang and menudo/caldereta were all deeelicious and just like what you'd expect at a filipino party- but better. Staff here were all friendly and helpful. Love Tita's and look forward to returning!

It wasn't even busy, and you could tell everyone was getting frustrated waiting. It was also really hot inside, so sitting there for almost an hour made it even more uncomfortable. Would I come back? Probably not. Good food is important, but so is good service and a comfortable place to eat. I heard someone said "tang ina ang init"

You kind of have to, living in San Diego County…read more Like many people, I became interested in and appreciative of their culture through the food they eat, and I'm lucky to have been introduced to that food not in restaurants, but by several of my elderly Filipino customers, for whom I do computer work. It seems that whenever I get called to Chula Vista, National City or Mira Mesa, there's always a lola waiting for me with a broken PC and a plate of pancit or a freshly-fried stack of turon. Years ago, knowing that those friendly, insistent ladies will offer to feed me, no matter the time of day, I started scheduling appointments to their houses at lunchtime, because, well, it's just bad manners to say "no, thanks, I already ate." On my own, I learned to love kare-kare and the popular Pinoy variants of pork. I still crave the Rellenong Alimango (stuffed crab) I had, years ago, at a Filipino food stall in Singapore. After the bars close, I'll often hunt down a plate of sisig. And I'll follow any such meal with something sweet, like hopia, halo-halo, or anything ube. But I'm also a big fan of Filipino breakfast, and that's where Zarlito's comes in. I've never eaten there after 10 am, and while I'm sure I'm missing a lot of good stuff, I've been happy with the breakfasts I've been served, not least because the ladies running the place are kind, always seeming tickled to see a large white man enthusiastically chomping through plates of their food. Any -silog will do the trick. Zarlito's always offers great food at a decent price. I'm glad the place is still around, and whenever I'm in the area, I try to stop in. You should, too.
