Friendly service with a warm welcome. They're always checking up on the customers to make sure all is well. Loved the salmon soup! The pork Belly was delish too. Shanghai was almost as good as my wife's and the Halohalo hit the spot after our meal

We came here on a busy Friday night, and it was popping. Even with the amount of foot traffic, we were looked after well. Just Filipino style it, and you'll be fine here. The ambience was popping with so many people. The addition of live music was a vibe, but it was loud. Conversations at the table aren't the easiest to have as a result when the performers are going. Lasang Pinoy, which isn't a surprise. I've been to Gerrys in the Philippines, and perhaps the biggest difference between here and there is the menu choices. Some things on the Philippines menu won't be found here, which isn't the biggest surprise. The ihaw choices are smaller here for those expecting it. Aside from that, the othe major difference is price which shouldn't shock anyone. However, Gerrys is fairly expensive here. The taste though was authentic (at least in the choices we made). With the overwhelming majority of customers being kababayan, it's not hard to see why.

    Waiting area

My mom and her classmates held their reunion at Gerry's Grill, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating, making everyone feel welcome. Sora was exceptionally great. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to gather with family and friends. The food was outstanding--truly Filipino, with authentic flavors that reminded us of home. We sampled nearly every dish on the menu, and every single one was delicious. Not a single dish disappointed. Next time, I want to come back on a Friday night to enjoy the live music. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to pair great Filipino food with a lively atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit!

Came here for lunch with my husband on a Monday, it wasn't busy, we got our food in less than 15mins, place was clean, and parking is reasonable given its by the mall, their Kare kare was surprisingly good the meat is soft compared to other filipino restaurants around the area very savory, my husband loved the sisig and inihiaw na bangus.

    Chopsuey with stale celery tips

Food was ok except some vegetable on the chopsuey like the tip of celery is stale with brown spot Picture below. No cold water (don't use ice) Soda is fountain only, no canned soda Talk to Gloria, manager at the time, talked to chef which is more annoying stating that the tip of the celery is not stale. I explained, any vegetable with brown spots should not be used for consumption due the fact that it could be contaminated with semolina Service was good We paid our bill, Gloria offer to void the chopsuey, my husband and I rejected her offer. We're merely giving a feed back we told her so the kitchen staff will be cautious next time. Found out later while driving home That MS. Gloria sas taken out the payment for the chopsuey.

First time here and came around the lunch hour on a Friday and was seated quickly. It did start to get busy though. We were served water in small plastic cups but looked like everyone else had larger cups, We had to constantly ask for refills but other than that service was pretty decent. We each ordered an entrée and didn't realize that it was family style, so the portions were huge. We started with an appetizer Lechon Kawali. Nicely done with added fried tofu but soon after our entrées arrived. Even though we were told that our grilled items would be delayed, they came out rather quickly. I had the Tuna Panga (collar) and it was grilled nicely. The tuna was very tender and tasty. For dessert I had the Calamari Pie, which was very similar to Key Lime Pie, and I did like it better as it wasn't as tart. And we had the Lumpia Banana with ice cream. My friends enjoyed their entrées and I would come back again.

It's our first time at this location and we were impressed with the service , it was fast and efficient. The place was neatly decorated and well maintained. The servers were nice and courteous. The food was delicious and rich in flavor! The serving size was perfect! We ordered the Inihaw na Bangus, tokwat baboy, sizzling spinach , Sinigang pork, chicharon bulaklak and fried rice with salted fish. Definitely recommend this place for the best Filipino cuisine. The price is just about right, it's worth it!

Located at the busy part of the mall you gotta come early if you want a spot in the nearby lot.  It's busy on a Saturday for lunch and there are only 2 servers so I didn't get much attention.  I ordered the pancit bihon.  Loved the mild flavor of the noodles.  Good mix of meats.  Crispy pork had a delicious fried pork flavor.  The stir fried pork was tender and had a mild pork flavor I liked.  Shrimp was tender and had a mild flavor.  White meat chicken was tender and had a mild chicken flavor.  Lots of fresh veggies in this dish.  I loved the pancit bihon as it was hot and freshly made with lots of delicious meats.  Nice change from the pancit I usually get from heating trays. Mango juice had a light mango flavor.  Drink was kind of watery like Dole pineapple juice in a can.  I prefer a thicker juice bursting with flavor like the Naked Juice mango juice. Gerry's fried chicken with french fries was half a chicken with lots of fries.  Fries were crispy and pretty good.  Fried chicken had a crunchy batter and nicely seasoned with salt and pepper.  All the pieces had moist chicken which was impressive as some places serve dry chicken breasts when you order a whole or half chicken.  I really liked the flavor, which was different than the fast food fried chicken I usually get from Popeyes or KFC. Crispy beef rib was fried and had a crispy outer layer while the inside was tender and juicy.  Loved the rich beefy flavor.  Gerry's sourced some very high quality beef for this dish. The sauce they included tasted like soy sauce and was pretty good. Grilled pork belly was full of rich pork flavor.   Gerry's Grill has lots of delicious food.

I've been here about 3 times. Each time, the service is just soo poor. Servers are not attentive and the food always takes awhile to come out. Once your food comes out, the servers never come back. We always had to get up to call someone when we needed something. The food is good though and I DO enjoy when I eat here. We came right when they opened, and it was freezing in the restaurant. Hoping they work on the small things.

I've always loved Gerry's Grill, from Pasig to Artesia (near Long Beach), and now returning to National City after three years! I was excited to have a happy and worthwhile Filipino birthday celebration there. However, I was disappointed with how they handled things. Despite having a lot of employees, they didn't seem organized or coordinated, which was surprising for a Filipino restaurant known for its hospitality. My friend, who isn't Filipino, asked the staff to set aside my birthday cake, and they said they couldn't--yet when I asked, someone did. Interesting. They didn't cut the crispy pata, and the staff didn't seem welcoming or customer-friendly. I even asked for a single birthday candle, but they didn't have one. For a restaurant that's supposed to feel like a casual and family-friendly Filipino spot, it wasn't as warm or comfortable as I'd hoped. That said, the food was absolutely delicious, which is why I've missed Gerry's Grill. But after this experience, I'm not sure I'd return, especially for a large group. It felt like too much hassle for the customers to deal with.

This place always hits. I usually order the ensaladang talong which is one of my favorite dishes here. The sisig is great. I wish they had mayonaise in it like they do in Manila Bulalo is super good. It had an appropriate amount of meat and the veggies were cooked through but still a little crunchy They did not give me Patis though. I also didn't ask I got the gulaman. I thought it was a little too sweet and there was too much jellies for me to really enjoy it. The iced tea was amazing. It seems like the glass is bigger, too. We had Dong as our server. Dong has been my favorite server here since maybe 2021? 2022? Lowkey makes the experience so much better.

Sisig, bbq pork, inihaw na pusit (squid), shrimp sinigang, pork sinigang, pancit.
