Had the pleasure to try more thing's on the menu. Everything is still really good! I come in often to scratch my halo halo itch.

First walked in and there's a lot of merchandise to the left that you can purchase and some snacks. In the middle is register with many things around it and the menu above. Place is very clean and they provide cups for water. Got here at 9 o'clock in the morning and people were already singing karaoke. When ordering the lady upfront was really nice but very quiet. It took me a little to understand. Employees are nice and very helpful. The food is great not oily like other places. The only thing that I wish was that my egg had more runny yolk. But other than that, it was good thank you.

Only got the Buco Pandan since I found this place accidently and had already eaten. It was so good. Bright and flavorful. They seemed busy and all the food coming out of the kitchen looked great. Want to come and try the rest sometime.

The food there was really amazing! I have tried a few of their dishes and each one of them are something I would get again! Def worth the price. The big standout to me was the garlic rice as it is very flavorful and made me want to get seconds. The service there was amazing and fast as well! There was always plenty of seating and lots of parking available. Would come back again

The place wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. Located towards the East end of Plaza Blvd by the Jack in The Box, Jax Chibugan serves Filipino dishes hoping to remind of home. The places itself was cute and was definitely going for the nostalgic vibe. I loved seeing the Sari Sari store first thing when I walked in. That was super cute. They have Filipino music playing and Karaoke, definitely feels like home. Plenty of seating and overall the place was clean. Parking isn't an issue. There's plenty throughout that whole plaza and it doesn't get extremely busy there. Service was fine. I had no issue cause I didn't interact with them that much. We ordered at the counter before we sat down. The cashier was nice, kept convo to a minimum, nothing rude or bad. Workers were all doing their job so nothing really to complain about. Food was okay but when it comes to this style of Filipino food, there's other spots in National City that I can think of and be more satisfied, plus this was more on the pricey end. First drinks, my husband had the calamansi juice and that was fine. But my sago was extremely sweet. I was hoping to be reminded of my grandma's sago but highkey it was unbearingly sweet. The pork bun was okay. But it was hard to eat cause it was too saucy that it was messy. My husband's tocilog was fine but he wasn't over the moon about it. But my Tapsilog was kinda disappointing. I know tapa was already a bit on the dry end but this was DRY and overcooked. Like I was eating Jerky. I personally don't see myself coming back again. It was more on the expensive end and I don't think I got what I paid for. I know of other spots in National City with the same or very similar menu that is cheaper and I know will satisfy me.

My go to dish here is the crispy pork Kare Kare with extra bagoong! So good! Only downside is sometimes the rice can be a little on the dry side. (Not in this case) but over the Kare Kare is definitely my favorite. Or the tapsilog with extra vinegar of course.

the garlic rice was amazing and super flavorful. both plates were good but the fried chicken and fries were not as crispy as I would have liked. you order and then take your number to any table, then they will bring it out to you. it does get busy on the weekend so make sure to get there early!

In fairness, the ambuance gives you a nostalgia of being in the philippines with the typical street sari-sari store (convenient store). Love the concept. The food is good!! It's been a loooong time that I have not eaten "tinapa" (smoked milkfish). It satisfied my cravings. Their kare kare is good too... but it will be best if it's ox tail. It was chunk beef, not bad though, cyz it was tender. My husband is satisfied with the tocino and bibingka. The place was packed. Suport local small businesses. I will surely come back, need to try other dishes.

My fiance and I came here on a Sunday morning. His coworker recommended this spot so we decided to come here for breakfast. We got the hotsilog and tocilog. Both were super good! Their garlic rice is super flavorful. There's a very homey feel to the restaurant. The food came out fast and the workers are super nice as well. We will be coming back and making this restaurant a staple in our rotation!

We wanted a change and support Small business and I found this "chibugan" in National City. We entered. Ordered our usual food on the counter: Crispy Pork Kare Kare, Isdalog (fried milk fish, fried egg over rice) and tortang talong. The food tasted so good. The Tortang talong has that smoky taste from being grilled, peeled and fried in egg. The milkfish was perfectly seasoned. My Husband loves kare kare and he gave it a big thumbs up! I love the authenticity of the food and how it just presents the "taste of Filipino food." Simple and Tasty. The service is top notch! Tables and chairs are well placed strategically to allow more customers to come and enjoy the food. When we came there were a few people in already and enjoying their food already. They are also open for big parties. I hope you find this review helpful. I know you'll love it too!

It's considered a Filipino breakfast restaurant but honestly, the servings are so generous, that it can probably be eaten at any time of day. It definitely kept me full all day. Order and pay at the counter, and your order would be delivered to the table with the provided table number. Absolutely affordable. We had the following: * $8 pork lumpia: thin, flaky, fried spring rolls - good, standard * $13.99 tapsilog: beef, fried egg, and garlic fried rice - beef lacked flavor * $13.99 porksilog: pork belly, fried egg and garlic fried rice - it came with a cold dipping sauce but I wished the pork belly itself was better salted * $12.99 adobosilog: braised pork, fried egg and garlic fried rice - flavorful, savory and best dish out of three

We wanted to grab some quick food before we head home, so we ended up going to Jax Chibugan. The inside was spacious, and I loved the sari-sari store decor. It was also clean, and the service was fast. I ordered Sisigsilog and Sago't Gulaman. The sisigsilog was okay. I wanted to like their sisig, but I felt like I was just eating lechon kawali. It lacked the sisig flavor. I wished the pork were cut into smaller pieces, so the sisig flavor could come through. I liked their garlic rice, though. The sago't gulaman was good, but a bit sweet for my liking. I added water to the drink, and it tasted better. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Jax Chibugan. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable and affordable. The staff was also nice and friendly.

I always pass by this restaurant but never gave it a thought to try.. Woke up one day wanting filipino breakfast / food and looked on yelp and saw this was nearby and asked myself why I haven't stopped by to try the food! Glad I made the decision to stop by and order some food because it was worth it and hit the spot on fixing my filipino food cravings!! Random hole in the wall I would say and ambiance definitely gives you the feels of authentic filipino food with a good amount of seating area. I like their little sari sari decor cart set up, super cute and reminds you of the Philippines. Super clean inside and well kept. You just walk up to the cashier / register area and place your order. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. I loved their milkfish plate, lots of flavor and I enjoyed the egg and rice it came with. All the dishes I ordered was great, my kids loved their breakfast plates and we also got to try their halo halo which was refreshing. I want to come back and try other dishes they have since we ordered mainly breakfast dishes. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and will come back! Def give it a try if you like / enjoy filipino food.

They used to have one at Rally's which was good, but they took it off the menu like (not even joking...) 20 years ago. So when I saw this I was totally down. Bomb burger. Atmosphere: It's a burger joint inside. They have electronic menus too so you don't even have to talk to anyone anymore! That was ALSO not around 20 years ago. Damn I'm old. Anyway, they just remolded the place inside so it looks all new except for the hoard of boxes to the left of the registers. NGL, little wigged out by that. I think you should put all of your supplies in the back or somewhere where customers don't see your mess. Just sayin. Service: Ummm the electronic menu got our order right at least, haha! The guy that handed us our food looked nice enough but there wasn't much more than that for "service." However, this doesn't impact their score at all. Price: It's a burger. Call me old (because I am?) but hot dang when did a burger jump up to 8$ just for the burger? And it's thin meat too so like... I would expect it to actually be cheaper than a big, thick burger. I guess it's a sign of the times, but a meal will run you close to 15$ after tax. So it's not super pricy but I just feel it's a little more than I would typically pay. Overall: It's good, love the mushroom burger, not a fan of the price. I guess I should have gotten the special, I think they do one of those for 4$...? So I dunno, I'm just old. Clean up the customer seating area before I come back and I'll give that last star.

The Jolly Spaghetti was the highlight for me. I've never had anything like it before. The sweet and savory flavor with pieces of hot dog throughout was so unique and surprisingly delicious. The Chickenjoy was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. I tried one original and one spicy, and both were amazing dipped in the extra gravy. The Peach Mango Pie came out warm and fresh with a crispy crust and delicious filling. The drive thru wait was about 30 to 45 minutes, but it was completely worth it for fresh, hot food. The person working the drive thru was friendly and very apologetic about the wait, which was appreciated. The space is smaller but has both indoor and outdoor seating options. I can see why Jollibee has such a following. The unique flavors and fresh food make it worth the wait, and I'll definitely be back to try more items from the menu.

Even as a loyal customer and maybe just showing my age, I didn't enjoy the experience. The service wasn't as friendly or "jolly" as I've come to expect. I understand it was the last Sunday of Comic-Con and extremely busy, but that's also when I'd expect a business to be at its best and capitalize on one of the busiest weekends of the year. When I saw piles of cooked chicken and fries sitting under the heat lamps, I was immediately concerned that my meal wouldn't be fresh and unfortunately, I was right. The chicken and fries were cold, with only the rice being hot. Both the dining room and drive-thru were packed, and the cleanliness suffered. The bathrooms, along with the inside and outside dining areas, needed much more attention. I'm giving 4 stars based on years of loyalty because I know this location can do better. But I was honestly embarrassed bringing a group of friends for the first visit here after Comic-Con, and I hope this experience was the exception rather than the new standard.

My wife tricked me into going with her to Walmart to pick up some shit, so I got to pick the spot for lunch and this is what I picked. Got there about 2 PM on Good Friday and there were a few people there but nothing crazy. Got seated right away and ordered drinks, a Pacifico for me, Sprite for the wifey - got them right away. For food, I got a BBQ bacon cheeseburger with tots, wifey got a regular bacon cheeseburger with everything plus fries, and I was curious so I also got the $10 chocolate (fudge) shake. Shake was delivered first. Expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. The shake was served in the metal tin, made with loads of real ice cream, whipped cream, fudge, drizzle of chocolate syrup, and chocolate sprinkles. Honestly not sure what I was thinking when mixing beer with shake, in hindsight I wouldn't do that again... but it was one of the best shakes I've had in a long while. Burgers came out shortly afterwards. Wifey's was cooked perfectly medium, which is an unusual thing for most burger places these days; most of the time when I order a burger medium, it comes out medium well or well done. These were both perfectly medium. Both burgers came out with a generous amount of potato products, more than either of us could hope to stuff down our gullets in one sitting. The food was outstanding. The service was great. The music was too loud for the wife but it was the kind of music that is supposed to be played loud so no points off for that from me. A nice vibe overall. I'll definitely be back.
