Can't give any stars. Took my two grandsons, 9 and 6 to Citizens Bank park on Saturday April 11, on Phillie children's hoodie day. We entered as soon as the gates opened, and the only size available were small adults sizes. The hoodies weren't even available for adults, so they got two way oversized hoodies. Spent over $125 for tickets, and another $100 on concession. I know it's expensive to pay a team full of underachieving millionaire players, but please be more mindful when raping your loyal fans. Had tickets for Phils-Mets game Sat. July 18, 4:00 start. My wife happened to hear on the news, the SAME day, they rescheduled the game to 3:00 because of impending rain later. So that was a sudden mad rush over the bridge from Jersey. Glad we were dressed and ready. We used a digital prepaid parking pass. The lot attendant didn't know how to operate his instrument. His co-worker finally came over as the line behind us got longer and longer and showed him what to do. She walked away, he tried to beep us again, then said (with an attitude), "It says this was already used." My wife said, "That's because you beeped it before but it wasn't done right." He realized it, let us in. All the cars piling up behind us were singing hallelujah. Parked in handicapped spot, nearest entrance not open yet, had to walk a ton of steps in 90's heat, around to another entrance with a long line. When we got in, we couldn't go to our seats, it was all roped off till 2:35, half an hour before game time. This would have been an hour and a half with the original 4:00 start. But that didn't change. People stood there drenched in sweat, holding their expensive food and drink, thinking they could go to their seats. We got to watch paid workers beyond the ropes, standing around, some sitting in the spectator seats, having leisurely chats, occasionally glancing over to us. They finally let us in at 2:35 on the dot, mad rush to the seats, game began soon after. My wife went back early in the game for one hot dog and two bottled waters...28 bucks. In spite of the rescheduled time, it rained in a downpour in the 7th inning, delaying the game close to an hour. The Phils did win, 6-1. I know these circumstances were unusual that I recounted, but it wasn't a good time overall and it cost a lot of money. It's all a matter of choosing the experience of being there or watching it at home. We went last April and it was fun. We'll probably go again but not till next year. read more

Meet me at....THE BANK!! An afternoon or evening at the Phillies game truly is one of my favorite pleasures in life. I feel totally at peace and elated by the sights and sounds of the game and the conversation and good times with the friends I'm accompanied by. I just went to a game last night, sadly a loss, but had the best time with my best friend who also loves getting to a Phil's game. Hard to beat the combination of crab fries, a few drinks, and BOGO dogs (RIP dollar dogs) along with sunny 60 degree weather. I've been to dozens of games at this point, so I'm very biased, but to me the stadium and games are well run, family friendly and an all around good time. My only complaint would be the concession prices. Especially for families it can be quite the expense to get food and beverages. So highly recommend bringing in hoagies or other tasty food in a clear plastic bag as an alternative. read more

This is one of the premier places to watch a game in the MLB. The park has so much to offer and is very inviting to kids of all ages. My daughter came to her first ever professional game at age seven this last week and she really had a blast. She loved the park and took full advantage of the children's section of the park where she was able to pitch and shoot potatoes at goals and also enjoyed the rock-climbing wall. She loved watching the warm ups and liked learning about the game. We were blessed to have box seats behind home plate, courtesy of Constellation Energy, but that was only an enhancement of the evening. There really isn't a bad seat in the house and the staff couldn't be nicer. I love coming here. read more

I presume the individual and wife in the blue Hyundai hatchback was one of your employees because he was wearing one of your Phillies polo shirts. I yelled at their car to get off the crosswalk because they don't understand common Road-Ed driving laws. The crosswalk is there for people to cross the street, not a personal parking spot for people to get out of their cars and block everyone trying to get across the street. Please hold your employees responsible for how they behave out of the workplace looks really bad for your sports team. It really did not help. He got in my face and told me I should be going to a Job recruitment place for work and call me snowflake Meanwhile, I was just trying to get to synagogue. This individual was an older man maybe in the 60s with grayish white hair wearing khakis and your blue polo shirts with your logo on it. We are all just living in the same city and trying to get by please remind your coworkers they don't own the crosswalks and there are other people trying to get across the street. No reason to put other peoples lives in danger making them have to go around one of your employees cars on a crosswalk in the middle of the street. Remember, it was your fan that grabbed the ball out of a child's hands and everyone watching the game and on the news was mocking that individual were taking the ball out of their hands. This evening, October 28th, the Philadelphia Phillies won Game 1 of the 2022 World Series, beating the Houston Astros at home in extra innings, by a score of 6-5. The Phillies, cast by sports writers nationwide as preposterously outclassed underdogs, gave up 5 runs by the third inning. Then, because eff the naysayers, the "Fightin' Phils" very deliberately powered their way to a tie by the fifth, and *then* they hung in until, in the top of the tenth, catcher J.T. Realmuto poked the winning run juuust over and out into the far right field corner into a mass of unsuspecting fans, cuz eff those guys, too. In attendance, at my house, were me and my Philadelphia-born bride, who is a supremely knowledgeable and aggressively partisan fan of her city's sports teams. One of us spent the evening entertained by the thrilling drama unfolding in Texas. The other cursed the Astros, the Phillies, the TV announcers and me, and then thanked God when it ended. Been to most MLB stadiums and the Phillies game day experience is near the bottom. Product on the field is fantastic. The rest is awful. Tried to get my daughter a souvenir. Was told the line started in a location by an employee, got to the front after 10 minutes only to be told by that same staff person I went to the wrong place. No souvenir for my daughter. Asked about a gameday ball for my son, was told to come back in 6th. Showed up to be told I could buy a ball at game tomorrow, huh? Thankfully my kids have been to enough other games to know the Phillies experience is an outlier. Let me start by saying that at the core I'm a Yankees fan. But, being from Eastern PA I certainly follow the Phillies. I mean it's hard not to whether you like it or not, the same as anyone who lives in the geographic area of their "hometown team". Why the Yankees? When he was alive, I always respected the mentality of George Steinbrenner in that every year it was win at all costs. Sure, he made tons of bone headed moves by forcing GM's to go after and overpay for free agents that were way past their primes and/or by trading away tons of prospects for said past their prime veterans but at the end of the day, no one can seriously question his eternal want to win and win now. Even today that tradition more or less carries on with his son Hal in charge. Sure, he's not as loud as his dad nor does he make impulsive decisions the same way but you're also never going to pigeon hole the Yankees as being frugal either. As a kid growing up in the 80's and 90's could you really say that about the Phillies? For the better part of the Phillies franchise history and especially in the modern era of their ownership - starting with Bill Giles full-time managing partner status in 1981 - they went through long stretches of total ineptitude where it seemed like ownership was giving the fanbase the middle-finger and tanking the franchise purposefully. The Phillies had a pretty good thing going from '75-'83 that Giles single handedly sold off bit by bit until there was nothing left starting with relieving The Pope from his GM duties in '84. Aside from the '93 season where the team caught lightening in a bottle and punched way, way above their weight, from about '87-'00 the team was basically the laughing stock of the National League. That's why guys like Scott Rolen and Curt Schilling left town or J.D. Drew chose to sit out a year and re-enter the draft just so he could get chosen by someone other than the Phillies (somewhere in there this leads to a long standing informal policy of the Phillies refusing to spend any FA money on players represented by Scott Boras which in retrospect is moronic since yes, he is a master at playing teams off of each other and extorting more money for his clients but he usually represents a lot of the best players of the day). This all culminates in a late 90's interview that Giles gives where he proclaimed that the team in the 4th largest TV market in the country was a small market club that had no money to spend on free agents. WTF?!?! Best move for the franchise was however it worked with Giles being in over his head and finally admitting it or the other limited partners of the time finally asserting some kind of professional malfeasance against him, but when he steps aside in 1997 it opens the doors to the team's modern era of a new stadium and payroll spending that is commensurate to the elite teams in the sport. Thankfully, I missed the Phillies first century of ineptitude until 1980 when they won their first championship. So much promise with the Whiz Kids; so much despicable behavior as the near last major league team to have black players on their squad. So many great players (Dick Allen, Steve Carlton, Richie Ashburn, Grover Cleveland Alexander, etc.) working for a team that really didn't deserve to win until the second half of the 20th Century. From Baker Field to Schibe Park to Connie Mack and Veterans Stadium, to the current, successful Citizens Bank Park, the owners of the club found new and creative ways to lose games and tons of money. They were unpopular in the city of Philadelphia, drawing way smaller crowds than their local competition the Philadelphia Athletics, until the "A's" left town and moved to Kansas City and then, Oakland, California 70 years ago. But, things improved with the arrival of Mike Schmidt and Pete Rose, followed by the crop of young talent, Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Roy Halliday and Cole Hamels, allowing the team to win the World Series in 2008, and 5 Division championships in a row. Baseball was exciting and meaningful for a city that had suffered longer than any other American metropolis. These days, with an excellent ball park, an afternoon in South Philly watching a game is at the least, entertaining, although success is only a some time thing. Decent offense, but spotty defense and relief pitching mean that this version of the Phil's is destined for more mediocrity. At least now the food is first class. read more

The seats vary but all appear to offer a great view. The Preferred Parking Gold was worth the extra money. Quick access to the stadium and an equally quick exit from the park area. When your so close to knocking another 100 reviews out of the park you have to go for at least one that's a pretty obvious choice. So I figured what could be more fitting than the world champs (and yes it felt damn good to finally be able to say that!)? But that's not the only reason I didn't choose to review them the moment that almost all of Yelp caught Phillies fever (or disbelief). I figured that someone had to wait around to do a recap before the next season. and since I've been following the Phillies since the days of Mike Schimdt and Juan Samuel I figured that if I can wait so damn long for good things to finally happen, then I can at least wait awhile to savor it in a review. I remember almost feeling that sensation before The Wild Thing got tamed. and if it was electric back then you best believe that it was pure dynamite when it finally happened. and rest assured whether you chose to stay in during it, or you hit the streets to embrace every moment of it (I did a little bit of each) that celebration managed to catch up with you in a BIG way. And at the rate we're looking we could be poised for a repeat. On the good we haven't lost too many players. I was pretty down about losing Burrell since he was one of my faves (and my friend always had good stories to tell when he went into Smith & Wolensky for drinks). But Ibanez should be an interesting addition that should do his part well. And while Hamel's injury gave me a bit of a scare. We still have a pretty hardcore pitching rotation that he'll be a part of. So either way catching some games this year should be a great ride. Go Phillies! read more

I'm not exactly the biggest baseball fan, but I am a fan of this stadium. I bleed green, but this is the most fun stadium in Philadelphia. I usually have a great time here and there is some decent food to be found too. There really aren't bad seats, if you want to watch the game... There are some great beer options, there is bbq, a few areas for children to play, stores, and federal donuts. The fireworks show is one of the best around, but in recent years, the baseball game would get tied and go extra innings first... The pricing is standard sports complex pricing. A lot... Still, I make it out to a few games a year. read more

It contains great staff, above average food and great entertainment. Yes, at the time the team is rebuilding, but they will be great in a few years. Matt Klentak really knows what he is doing. He has brought in a load of young, talented prospects. This team will be led by Jorge Alfaro, Aaron Nola, Jerad Eickoff, Vince Velasquez, Mark Appel, Kevin Gowdy, Tommy Joseph, Freddy Galvis, Caesar Hernandez, J.P. Crawford, Maikel Franco, Odubell Herrera, Roman Quinn, Mickey Moniack and many other young prospects. Mark my words, in 5 years this team will be back and be one of the best teams in the league. But since the playoffs I've been sucked into the excitement that goes with living in a city whose team is poised to go all the way. And the closer the Phillies got to the series, the more interested I got. Watching the game on Wednesday night was awesome, even though I was just on my sofa and not out with the rest of the city. And when they won I screamed and woke up the kids. I love how the win brought our city together, even if it just lasts a few days. And now I'm a fan. Hubs is a HUGE Phillies fan so I am only able to review the Philadelphia Phillies for the experiences I have had while going to home games. First, I am always surprised at just how clean everything is. I've been to a few other MLB parks and none are as neat and clean as this place! Second, everything is easily accessible, lots of vendors evenly dispersed around the stadium so you don't have to venture all the way across the place for a veggie dog. Oh that's right, THEY HAVE VEGGIE DOGS!!!! There is always some sort of promotional event going on, bobble-heads, fans, coupons for discounts for souvenirs, etc. The staff are always so welcoming and I think they can spot someone who is not from Philly a mile away because they seem to make a bee-line to certain people asking how we are enjoying ourselves and asking where we are from. They may or may not have some of that Disney happy-gas pumping through some vents somewhere because everyone is so darn happy! When we are taken to our seats, the usher actually wipes off our seats before we sit down. WHAT?!?!?! Regarding the Phillies, they play well. We've been to games where they have won and where they have lost, but it is always a fun time! The Phillie Phanatic is hysterical, not just for kids, but some adult fun, too! Oh, and when some fan gets belligerent and crazy and just so happens to be sitting behind you, you can text for help (there are signs all around the stadium) and security will come, scope out the situation and throw them in Phillies jail if need be. The prices for the seats are pretty reasonable and comparable to other MLB games, and the prices for beer and food, well of course it's pricey but you shouldn't expect anything else these days as any professional sports game or concert. If you want to be on the frugal side, they actually let you bring in food items and unopened plastic water bottles. If you're in Philly during baseball season, go see a game! My journeys to visit all the ballparks across the nation has finally taken me to Citizens Bank Park. After coming here for a game, I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest ballparks that I've been to. This ballpark is pretty much south of downtown Philadelphia, so you're either getting here via car or public transportation. A parking pass is pretty much priced similar to all other ballparks nationwide at $20. Citizen Bank Park is pretty damn new, and it reminds me of AT&T Park in San Francisco. It has great views from every angle, and pretty decent food selection as well. The crowd is pretty lively, as we've all seen in the news. Shoot, they'd even boo Santa Clause in Philly. For a mere $50, you can snag a great seat with an amazing view during the regular season. Only downside? The overpriced alcohol and food items, but what can you do? read more

They're certainly celebrated this last year with the World Series win - I think the Lidge strikeout was one of the better stories in the series, personally. We've been to a number of Phillies games over the year and really like this ballpark. We've sat all over this park and we've never had a bad seat. Sure lower levels are better, but even up in the 400 level isn't that bad. We really enjoy sitting in the Hall of Fame club and of course the suites, but I only go to these areas when I get free tickets! The kids love coming here as well. The Phanatic is a fun mascot to watch and there is a great kids play area all decked out with the Philly Phanatic. This fun zone has slides and tunnels to keep the kids occupied. It can and does get pretty crazy in there with all of the kids and it's pretty easy to lose your kids in all of those tunnels. There is only one way in and out of this place, so I usually park by butt by this area and make sure they don't get out. There are plenty of workers in the area and I'm sure they are making sure kids aren't walking out by themselves as well. Plenty of food and drink options throughout the park and even places geared for kids where you can get them milk and child size portions. Plenty of shopping areas throughout the park as well. My kids always want to stop in and buy something, so I'm not sure if I really consider this a good thing or not! While we always do have a good time, I will say it can be pretty expensive. You start off with $15 to park, then factor in tickets, food, drinks, possible souvenirs, and the next thing you know, you've dropped several hundred bucks! Given the way the Phillies are playing this year, it's a bit frustrating. Getting out of this place is usually a royal pain in the you know what as well! The experience here was amazing! However, i cannot attest the experience to the stadium itself, but to the fans! Coming from a city that does not have such dedicated fans, I was amazed at the level of excitement and atmosphere. The only downfall to the stadium itself is the traffic and parking. I think the city itself can do a better job with traffic flow. read more

Great, new-ish stadium! My husband and I came to see Phillies vs. Nationals while we were in town. We were staying in Center City area and it's a roughly 20 minute drive from there to the stadium. We took a Lyft but there seems to be ample parking and easy options with septa. Stadium food was pretty decent as well - we ordered a turkey burger and garlic fries and both were pretty good. There's a lot of options throughout the stadium. The game we attended did have light sprinkle rain throughout most of it but it looks like they don't postpone/cancel the games unless it's heavier rain. read more

My review is for My private Tour of Citizens Bank Park. I'm a die- hard NY Met's fan. When I was down in Phili. I ended up getting a private tour of Citizens Bank park. I have been to 5 MLB stadiums in my life. Citizens Bank park is in a good location the phili Flyers hockey are right across the street. the parking lot was empty when i went but the lot looked huge. Unlike the other stadiums i have been to this was 1 big lot. most of the stadiums have 1 big lot and then a bunch of smaller walking distance lots. The tour was awesome. even for a Mets fan there was only a hand full of people at the stadium. Unfortunatly no players but its all good. Nothing was lit up and all of the places to eat were closed. the cover was on the field. I'm not joking when i say there were literally 10 people there. The park has a nice layout i went the whole way around the outside. When you are at a stadium or anything made for spectators and there is no one but yourself. You have a whole new appreciation for the place. I took this picture from the outfield with my phone. Just before i took this picture i envisioned the stadium filled with people. i opened my eyes and it was silent and empty. I could only imagine what it might be like for a player standing on the pitchers mound in a big situation game. it gave me a who new appreciation for high pressure situations. I felt like all of the cool memories of this place were hitting me. I know that sounds odd but it felt like a lot of cool moments were taking place and it was only me standing in the park. I don't know maybe it is just me. the biggest crowd i have ever spoke to was 1,000 people in Atlantic City. I thought it was cool The tour was amazing. I don't think there is a bad seat in the park. I would see the Met's play here if i was in Phili. I cant comment on prices of food or drinks. This was a personal tour or Citizens Bank Park. This is a really cool stadium. The food is great . The seats are good all around the ballpark. There are many things to do here for families. Baseball is wonderful and relaxing to watch. A nice place for fun. They always gave away interesting gifts. read more
