I like how this is conveniently located in the Filipino market. They have a good variety of food and their prices are reasonable. There's also some seating if you want to dine in. I've picked up food from here multiple times and have picked up catering. Sometimes this place has cebuchon with the crunchy pork skin and tender meat. My faves from this place is the pompano fish, cebuchon, and sisig. They don't have sisig all the time. I stopped by this morning around 9am when they usually have sisig, but this time they told me that it won't be ready until after noon. When they have it available, I highly recommend getting it. They also have some fried goodies towards the end of the check out line such as fried mini crab, chicken skin, pork skin chicharron, and more. They also have the peanuts mixed with fried garlic, which is one of my faves also. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the breakfast. Though good, it kind of lacked flavor to me. It probably would've been better if I got the spicy vinegar on the side, but I forgot to ask. Whichever combo you get, they will give you a very generous portion, and enough to probably feed 2-3 people or have leftovers. Prices are very reasonable too. Went this morning for their breakfast combo. I selected garlic rice and a double order of corn beef. Both items were on point, definitely deserve more than 3 stars. However, their customer service was just okay. The woman who took my order was alright but the woman at the register was rude. Instead of handing me my change, the way I handed her my bills, she placed my change on the counter and walked away. I had to lean a bit to get my change. Place was loud as usual and not that busy at the time i went! Someone was able to take our order quickly. While my parents were ordering our food, I went to the water dispenser to get water for my family but it ran out of water so i told a worker and it was just a weird but funny experience. I went back to Island Pacific market for some quick take out at the PhilHouse. 1/2 pound of pork belly and a pork skewer later, I was on my way home. Also, I got a package of ube pianono from the store. There was 1 person in line when I got there. The woman who took my order was quite friendly and quickly got my order ready. The skewer was wrapped in foil for protection and to retain heat. Note at checkout: You have to hand your credit card to them. There is no electronic payment or you swiping your cc on a reader. When I got home, I just had to give the pork belly 30 second in the microwave to make it hot. 20 seconds was good for the skewer. Both were very good and I could really get used to a fast meal from PhilHouse. If you go at the right time you probably can find seats available and you can eat there. The ube pianono was a sweet sponge cake but a bit of a disapppointment. I expected more ube cream in the roll but there was little. It was just eating plain sponge cake. read more

Palabok/pancit malabon too watery, or too much sauce, it's floating in sauce which for me, it's not good. 2nd time to buy veggie lumpia and it's 99% cabbage "uncooked cabbage!" I was hesitant to buy it again, but I said probably it's not like last time. It did not taste good as you can smell and taste the uncooked cabbage. Be careful when buying food here. Bought ginisang monggo (mung bean soup) at night, and it smells funky, it was sour in taste and spoiled. Called them and complained about it and was told they would exchange it when i go back there, which is a hassle. They should check their food's condition and not sell spoiled stuff which could make people sick. The pork binagoongan looks like recycled Lechon kawali, and too sweet. I haven't been to the restaurant located inside Island Pacific in awhile. However, I was craving some pinakbet and beef steak so I thought I'd grab some food there last night around 6:30pm for dinner. I never had any issues with their food in the past. I should've seen the red flag when I asked for the pinakbet because the tray was so full. It looked like they just combined the leftover pinakbet from earlier in the day and stuffed it in the tray. I took it "to go" and when I ate it there was no flavor whatsoever in any of the dishes. It seemed like the quality of their food has gone down significantly. The beef steak was pretty greasy as well. People say that's the chance you take in a "turo turo" restaurant because you never know how long the food had been sitting there. The worst part of it all was I had food poisoning later that night until this afternoon as I'm writing this review.
