I have an appointment today and realized I haven't posted my review from my experience in January. Since then I've gotten many compliments on his blending technique and how he got the right blonde to match my skin tone. Even suggested some great products (purple shampoo) to maintain the color. I just want to say that Phillip is not only talented but he is very passionate in what he does and truly cares to make his clients happy. For example, he texted me the very next day to see how my hair was and if I was satisfied. During my visit, he made sure I booked an appointment to retouch my hair in May because it would start to look "chunty" and he was on point with that! After waiting and waiting, I was finally able to do my hair with Phillip. Words can't describe how Satisfied and Beyond Happy I left from his salon. I'm absolutely in Love with my hair, all of it! The: *Color, *Cut & Style. He did my hair on my birthday, my appointment was scheduled for a later date but I really wanted to get my hair done and so I checked his calendar and found and earlier date, which means that someone had canceled their hair appointment. To all the ladies out there, if you really want to do your hair and can't wait, keep constantly checking his calendar and hopefully you get lucky like me and get an earlier date. Phillip, Is a very very Talented stylist, he works on your hair as if it's Art and that's how it's supposed to be. He's an honest person and will tell you Exactly step by step what is he going to do with your hair from the beginning to the end. He does not have anyone else waiting to do their hair as he works with you, when I was there it was all About ME! It was my 1st time going to Phillip, I had many different colors on my hair, therefore Phillip had to do a lot of corrections on it, he took his time on my hair never did I felt like he was rushing it or just trying to get the job done fast (Like Others). After going through so many hair disasters and dealing with different hairstylists who left me unhappy. I finally came across Phillip who is Amazing!! The first time he did my hair, I was very impressed!! I had been wanting to get a nice balayage and nobody could get right until Phillip did it. He fixed my color and gave me a beautiful balayage! I've always struggled to find colorists that could give me a nice natural looking blonde. No matter where I went, I'd eventually end up with just an orangey base and white blonde highlights, a total waaay too early-2000's unnatural look. I found a Phillip's work on Pinterest, hunted down his Instagram, and then his website only to find out he was booked basically years in advance. I kept checking back and almost a year and another head of orange and yellow from another stylist later, I finally snagged an appointment. OH MY GAWWD he was so worth the wait!! He's a genius with blending my highlights and toning so I NEVER end up with even a hint of brassiness. He's done silver tones, partial highlights/lowlights, transitioned me back to and from my natural color when I wanted to give my hair a rest, introduced me to the wonderful world of extensions, and been fantastic at all of it. Pro's; Phillip knows his stuff (color, cuts and style) Private studio (I am alone with him and that allows him to give me his in-divided attention) He is very personable (There has never been awkwardness) He explains what he uses and why he uses certain tones on my hair. He's not pushy when it comes to selling products but he will definitely explain the benefits of products he uses on my hair. Salon is very clean His assistant is pleasant His blow outs are amazing. I love how he did my hair, it had been 3 years since i did something to my hair. I had virgin hair and I was terrified to get anything done because I've seen bad hair jobs before. Phillip was patient and gave me EXACTLY what I asked for . He also explained every part of the process and made me feel so at ease. I got balayage highlights and it is subtle enough to look natural and also noticeable enough to compliment my skin tone . I've referred family and friends to him and they've all loved his work and made him their permanent hair stylist...he did an Ombré on me that I absolutely loved, it looked great whether it was curly or straight. He's so detailed and dedicated to what he does, he's not just about making it look good at the moment but nourishing it and telling you step by step what you need to do to have beautiful long term results.
