I don't know what all these negative reviews are. Obviously people aren't feeling well and feel the need to leave all negatives but never say a word when it goes well. I have been going to this office for easily 15+ years. From Dr Phillips(RIP) to Julie and Ken to now Dr Moffat, I have always had great service. The front office staff has been very helpful, no matter who it was. The referral staff, billing and anyone else I have dealt with has helped. I recently had a conversation with Alexa and she was VERY knowledgeable and pleasant. If people would learn to speak to workers with respect and and listen to direction and BE ON TIME when they are told to be there, there wouldn't be all these negative reviews. With all the shortages of doctors in this town, people should be very happy that there is an established office that is willing to take new patients while taking care of old patients. I was staying in Las Vegas for a couple of weeks during a road trip when I injured my foot. The team was incredibly kind, efficient, and accommodating throughout the entire process. For several reasons, it was important for me to get imaging done as quickly as possible, and they went out of their way to help make that happen. Stay far away from Dr Moffat, needs to go back to school. I contracted a rare fungal infection from a visit to Oregon, I could have died from it. I was being treated for it by an Internist who knew what to do. I asked Dr. Moffat to renew my hormone RX that I've been on for 25 years, he refused stating breast cancer. I am 73 and a good OBGYN will tell you that if you don't have it by now, chances are rare. I tried for a month and couldn't do it, couldn't take 50 degree weather, my teeth were chattering, plus intolerable hot flashes. I went back to my OBGYN and found out that Moffat was reading the wrong estrogen line on my blood test. Upon asking for another blood test, I asked to add the test for the toxic fungal infection to see if it still showed on my blood test, after completing the course of medication for it. He said there was no blood test for it, which there is. He could have even googled it. After no hormones for 60 days plus the residual from the fungus - my hair fell out. I have half a mind to sue. read more

Came here for blood work. The old lady was rude, incompetent and unprofessional. Made appointment for 7:45am, she came in around 8:10am, being terrified of needles, the wait made me more nervous. I turned my head away and closed my eyes. She commanded me to look at her. When I did, she looked at me with disdain and said "it's not that serious." Then she proceeded to command me to move my hair. My shoulder length hair has never bother anyone who has ever drew my blood. When she finished, she put the pressure on but didn't bother to pull out the needle(the correct way is pull the needle out, then put press while getting the gauze), letting my blood drop on the floor. With her pressing down the cotton with needles still in my arm really hurts even long after I left the clinic. When she finally put gauze on my arm, there were blood dropped on the floor. Now she was pissed, cleaned it and toss everything into her little basket and left without saying a word. Um... I guess I could go now?! read more

Dr Moffett!! Amazing but the billing system is plain ridiculous, five months after a visit receiving bills with additions and subtractions credits given then removed?? it shouldn't take this long to send a customer a bill if it took me this long to pay them then I would be sent to collections not even with the same insurance company since the bill was created very difficult to determine financial responsibility at my last visit was told that I couldn't be seen until my past due bill was paid that bill was paid so from that point on I presume I have a zero balance then three months later I get another bill saying that I still owe them money it makes no sense and I'm seriously considering finding a whole new provider based solely on their billing system, which is very unfortunate that I have to sacrifice losing a doctor with whom I am very satisfied with because of the billing issues that are completely unacceptable.. read more

This clinic has gone through some changes and not for the better. My family and I went here for a number of years and once our PA left everything went down hill. They are billing you and your insurance for the same charge; billing over a year for services (thier bookeeping must be an utter mess); not coding services properly causing you to pay more; and they take no accountability for anything. I was personally misdiagnosed for diabetes and was told to call my insurance to see what prescriptions they would cover. This form of practice is unacceptable. My complaints are being filed at the state and national level, and I am reporting to consumer protection agencies to alert people that this is not a place where they can feel safe and taken care of. This is unacceptable. People have to trust the medical community and this place does deserve anyone's trust. Find someone better. read more

I will start this out on a positive note but it goes downhill very fast from there. The doctors at this clinic do a great job taking care of me and my family. No complaints about them. It's the staff and most importantly it's their third party billing company that they use. First off the staff and billing do not answer your calls. You have to wait 24 - 48 hours for a return call from the staff even to make a simple appointment. Very annoying especially if you have an urgent need. The worst part is the billing company. They over charged me $200+ apparently by accident. I paid my bill then found out through my insurance company that I wasn't responsible for it. Aetna called them 6 times to tell them to reimburse me. I ended up calling them 6 times also. Phillips Clinic eventually said they would try to call them too. This all started 5 months ago. Did not receive a callback from billing until over 2 weeks ago. Was told by the person that called that she was the manager of the billing department and she was issuing the check as we speak. Still waiting for the check and still no return call from billing. It's unfortunate that the customer service from this place is so horrible because the doctors are really very helpful but because of what happened I am currently searching for a primary care provider read more

Words are not enough to describe how amazing and professional this practice is. A part of me wants to gatekeeper cause good care is hard to find but for those looking for exceptional care and quality of care- this is it. Dr Moffat is my favorite Dr on the planet and if I knew where to locate a genie- I'd ask them to make him a specialist in all category's of medicine. The office staff is on top of their game as well. I agree with all the comments regarding the billing department. They are 100% doing something shady and getting more money than they should for various visits/tests, which is a shame because the providers here are really good and that's the only thing that has kept me coming to this office for so long. It bums me out that I now have to look for a new primary. they charge you a copay for your annual Wellness check... Even when it's covered by insurance! I showed them my benefits, which clearly state that annual wellness visits are covered, but they said they collect the money anyway, and they hold it on our account for whenever something charged in the future? You are a medical office and not a bank so you shouldn't be holding onto peoples money. I had my annual wellness check, they would not do the lab work on the same visit and said they have to do it on a separate visit. They charged me a co-pay for my annual checkup, and then they charged me a second copay for the day that I went in for lab work. The provider said that they would call me with the lab results. She called me a week later to say everything looked great, which took her all of two minutes. They freaking charged me a third co-pay for that phone call! Again, billing issues because of the front staff. Every time my husband and I go just for a quick visit, always end up getting a bill in the mail, which then always seems to be late to issue because then there a late fee for the 31-60 days. Come to find this time, even though they took our update insurance cards for the year the copay got bumped up to 25$ instead of last years 15$ but they were only charging us the 15$ and ended up getting bills in the mail 2 months later. So annoyed. The doctors/NP are great but the billing dept and girls up front need to pay attention because this is ridiculous getting bills in the mail months after the visit. I've been going here for 5+ years. I have always been treated very well, main provider is Doug who is great. But I've been treated by Julie and Ken as well and have been happy with the treatment and the way I have been treated, which includes the staff at the counter. I've had appointments and have had just walked in when in need more than once, I expected to wait longer as a walk-in patient, but was seen in a very reasonable amount of time. They all listen to what I have to say and have given me very good treatment and advice. I trust them all as they have proven they have my best interest in mind when treating me. Believe the negative reviews about the billing department! I've been going here for over 10 years and I'm finally giving up. I hung in there because Doug & Julie have always taken great care of me & my family and while they're keeping us healthy the billing department is nickel and diming us to death. My physical is no copay but the billing department will have no part of that! Julie evaluated the results of my ekg to me immediately after it was completed and suggested I have some further testing. Billing department says....."THAT qualifies as diagnostic not preventative"; boom 25 bucks. During my physical she prescribes a medication for me; apparently that is something the billing department considers above & beyond so when I questioned the the charge for the ekg during a 3-way phone call with my insurance representative & Phillips billing department they were happy to mention the prescription was another way they could have collected their precious $25. In years past the billing department has threatened me with legal action to collect unwarranted copay's & other charges & had to be threatened in turn by my insurance company before they would back down. I wonder if this is an inside job by the billing department or this is the policy set by Dr. Phillips. Whom ever it is they've been aggressively consistent. The final straw was being charged a $25 copay for a 6 minute phone call to have my physical results read to me. On that 3 way phone call my insurance did say my no copay physical technically applied to the office visit when I got my physical but when I tried to reason with the billing department that getting the results of a physical was, using common sense, part of the physical, they said they would get back to me. Progress, right? Been going there all this time, they already drained me of 25 bucks on either of a couple of technicality's, maybe someone in the billing department will lean toward patient appreciation & not just squeezing as much as they possibly can out of every patient. WRONG! Final verdict; 25 bucks to get the results. When I finished my physical in mid-September they said I would get a phone call in mid-November with my results. Timely. They were supposed to call at 10 am some 2 months later & when on that day no one did & I called them at 10:20. During that 6 minute phone call I got my results & a $25 bill for my trouble. Please take my advice; even though the health care here is top notch the stress caused by the billing department will probably compromise your health in the long run. Not worth it. read more

After having an appointment scheduled and waiting for it for you to be told it was canceled and that you have no other choice but to reschedule, you get another date almost 25 days later. You go to it be told that it was for the following month now, after taking time off from work to go to your appointment, you're told in so many words it is what it is take it or not!! Seriously? Like others have stated, office staff are not the best. I've had issues with billing trying to get copays from me when I shouldn't be paying. Last year they tried to charge me to find out my lab results then called the wrong number. I ended up not paying the copay and didn't get my results. I figure if I'm dying someone will let me know. This year, no one asked for the copay for my son or me. Felt like I hit the lottery. Lol. My biggest issue is when I ask for an rx. I get uti all the time. I was there for lab work including a urine sample. I asked if I could get some medication because I was starting to get a uti. I was told I'd have to see the attending PA and it would be 45 min plus a $25 copay. I declined and called my OB who called it in. On Monday I get a call saying they detected a uti in my urine sample from Friday and were calling in an rx. I laughed and said, OH you mean the uti I told you Friday I had. Smh! I initially decided to go with this practice because they are open on Saturday, so I wouldn't have to take days off work, and they are close to where I live. However, my experience through the phone was disappointing, so I decided not to be with them. I called a few times to make an appointment and no one picked up the phone, always the answering machine that did. I was thinking what if I had an emergency (but not the 911 kind of emergency) that I needed to see the doctor, and I would have to wait for them to return my call? They said "please allow 24 hours for us to return your call". Not cool! When I finally got a call back from them, they said that I would actually be seeing a nurse practitioner. I snuck out of a meeting and just said okay to them. After officially getting out of my meeting, when my mind was back to my personal business, (I honestly don't have any discrimination but) I was expecting to make a doctors appointment, not a nurses appointment. Plus, I have something that I seriously would like to have a doctor check it out. Then I decided to cancel the nurses appointment, again they never picked up and never returned my call. I was worried they would charge me for not showing up. So I just had to keep calling them for like 3 days and left them voice messages every single time I called. Felt like I was harassing them. I thought the staff were friendly and timely, no complaints there. Went in for a routine physical with bloodwork covered 100% by insurance. Ended up being charged for a couple doctors visits (1 for physical and 1 for blood being taken) and am now getting more bills from the lab company months later. I believe they ran up a bunch of extra charges maybe by accident. No luck getting it fixed. Very confusing. My husband and I have been going to this clinic for about three years, I can tell you with all honesty that they are not a very good clinic. Let's start with communication. Phone experiences have been horrible. Need to cancel an appointment, follow-up on a referral that was never sent (they do that often), or even talk to a person? Forget it.... They do not answer or return calls. I am surprised when I actually do get a person on the phone. It can take me a week to make an appointment. Their patient portal doesn't have any real information on it, but it is the only way I can make an appointment. Make sure you can go, if you can't cancel because they won't pick up the phone then you will be charged $225 for a no-show visit. Now for the actual appointment. Prepare to wait! I don't think there was a time that I was in and out in under two hours. Usually, you will wait in the lobby for about 45 mins (after your scheduled time) and then in the exam room for another 30-45 mins on average. Oh, and your time is not valuable to them, but the doctor's is. If you actually take the doctor's allotted time for you (not just the 5 mins they usually give you), they will charge you for an extended visit. So basically, you wait for over 2 hours and it's okay, but the doctor spends 15 minutes with you and he charges $700 for an extended visit. If they order blood, they will make a separate appointment for that. DO NOT DO IT.... Get a referral for Quest or whatever lab of your choice. Their appointments are not convenient (or soon) and they are not good at blood draws. If they want you to do any specialized tests at their clinic.... don't. I had an ultrasound on my heart done there and they found something weird. I had a follow-up with the Cardiologist and had the test re-done. It was all clear. Scared me for no reason. I have more examples of that, I won't go into detail. Billing..... WOW! Make sure that you check every line of their invoices. Compare it to your insurance's explanation of benefits (EOB). I have not received one correct bill. They will send you an invoice saying they charged you for two procedural codes, but they actually sent your insurance company three codes. They have not applied insurance payments to the right charges. I am not sure how they are still running to be honest. I used to work for a family clinic in Utah and I taught billing and coding. I know what an invoice should look like and include. Phillip's Clinic is not doing it correctly. In February, I went for a physical and during the visit I was asked about my medical history. Part of my history is that I was diagnosed with a mental health problem. I informed the doctor that I am being treated somewhere else for the problem and I did not need any help from him with it. Well...guess what....they billed my insurance for a physical AND a mental health visit. When I contacted Phillips Clinic, I was told that if the doctor mentions anything about mental health then they bill for it. Even though we did not actually discuss any details of me being Bipolar, they still billed for it because we "mentioned" it. STAY AWAY!!!! I've even sent a fraud complaint to my insurance company and put a complaint in with BBB. read more
