It's pretty good but overpriced. Sampler appetizer had excellent shrimp and little crab balls of meat. Plus the calamari was good and 3 different dipping sauces. Mahi mahi was good but rather small in portion with a scoop of mashed potatoes and some fried zucchini. Probably about 25% less food and about 25% higher prices than one would expect. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think it is fair to compare them with their competitor at the terminal and I would return here as it was good food.

CRABCAKES! SHRIMP! YUM! Phillips Seafood, Maryland's favorite seafood chain, opened a location at the Harrisburg airport in April 2011. Once ticketed passengers enter thru security, it is just inside to the right in the A Terminal, near gate A1. The crab and shrimp combo platter were just as tasty as I remember from my 7-month consulting job at Johns Hopkins years ago...where I frequently enjoyed the pleasure of an expense account and access to several nearby locations of Phillips! If you have a little time before your flight, I suggest a stopover. If not, plan to have extra time the next time you are at Harrisburg!

Arrived 30 mins prior to boarding and was starving. I didn't think I would be able to get some hot food in that short time frame AND make it to board my flight.....however THIS place was a GEM!! I was seated immediately and I ordered the crab cake minis (delicious) and was recommend the Maria wine with hints of grapefruit...DELICIOUS!! I was still able to make my flight.

The service was attentive, they know how to pour a beer. But the food was inedible. Ordered chicken fingers; should be simple enough. It was spongy chicken, after I dissected it. Clearly frozen, and they just sprinkled some Parmesan cheese on top. Just drink here...

After missing lunch due to work, I made it to the airport in time for something more substantial than a granola bar and some nuts. The airport doesn't have much in terms of sit down food, so Philips was the obvious choice. There were plenty of tables and I was easily able to find one with a plug to recharge before the flight. I had the seafood sampler and the Philips salad. Seafood Sampler: fried butterfly shrimp, crab cakes, crab and shrimp egg rolls. The shrimp were good - nice and crispy, and not too much breading. The mini crab cakes (more like crab balls) were very mustard-y (which I like) and the crab tasted fresh. The egg rolls seemed a little fishy and a the skin was a little undercooked, but they were much improved by the sweet chili sauce. The salad was quite impressive for an airport. It was a good mix of greens, with pine nuts, gorgonzola, mandarin oranges. It was fresh, colorful, and tasty. The service was fast enough to get me the meal and the check inside of 40 minutes. Not your usual airport food.

Decent for airport food. Good service, free WiFi, an accessible outlet for me sitting there for three hours.

Decent food for a regional small airport. Not very busy and was able to get a drink right away at the bar.

This is an extremely racist establishment with mediocre food. Will not be coming back. Waited for a seat and had others seated before me.

He placed me on hold and verified crabs was on site and order will be fulfilled. I was advised that for Crabs only cash is accepted. Cool. I arrived by 5:57pm. I was told to hold on a few minutes because my food wasn't ready. Cool. After waiting 5minutes the guy working there then calls me back inside to say "AINT NO MORE". I said excuse me....no more crabs? "Yea no more crabs" He couldn't care less which was even more pathetic because that's not how you treat a paying 1st time customer! He then says well I have snows for you. I ORDERED BLUES AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO CALL ME BACK TO SAY IM SORRY WE RAN OUT! He then goes to tell me "I called her and she told me we had 6 but it was sitting there for someone else's order" I am absolutely flabbergasted. It's a shame because I am loyal to my people especially if it tastes good. To have me drive then give me some BS about not having them then ready to hand off someone else's order.....NEVER AGAIN! That's not how you treat anyone!!!! Idc how long you been in crab business. I'm real life sad because I had a serious craving for them smh

Unfortunately, the quality of the cheesesteaks declined over time, but I was excited when they opened a new fish location here in Harrisburg. Until recently, I really enjoyed this spot because the quality and ingredients were consistently excellent. My latest experience, however, was highly disappointing. I placed an online order and received a text notification stating it was ready for pickup. When I arrived, the food was not ready. I stood waiting for nearly 15 minutes, ringing the counter bell, but the staff ignored it. When someone finally appeared, I told them I was picking up an order. I was told it would be just a few more minutes because they were "waiting on the fries."After waiting another 7 minutes, I asked for an update. The employee immediately walked to the back counter and handed me a box that was already wrapped and sitting there. I hadn't heard anyone packaging food the entire time I stood there. When I got to my car and opened the container, the fries and the rest of the meal were completely wet and soggy from trapped condensation. It was obvious the food had been sitting out for at least 15 minutes while I was told it was still being cooked. I will not be returning to this restaurant. This place had been on my radar for a while, but when I recently learned that Grappling Crab Shack…read morewas serving Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs, there was no longer any point in delaying the inevitable. A crabby dinner needed to happen...immediately! I recruited an adventure buddy and we made plans to meet at Grappling Crab Shack's creekside home base on a rainy Saturday evening. We arrived around 5pm, about an hour before closing, and thanks to the rain, we had the place almost entirely to ourselves! If you've never been, Grappling Crab Shack is a local family-owned business specializing in fresh Maryland blue crabs, gourmet crab cakes, seasonal seafood specialties, catering and a food truck that travels throughout the area. It's one of those hidden gems that feels like you've stumbled onto a local secret. Since it was our first visit, we decided to do what any reasonable seafood lovers would do....order basically everything! First up were the Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs ($18 for six). Holy. Cow! These were TREMENDOUS! The filling was loaded with crab, each egg was topped with a little bit of bacon and they disappeared from the plate embarrassingly fast. If you visit Grappling Crab Shack and don't order these, I genuinely think you're making a mistake! Next came the Cajun Jambalaya ($10) with chicken, smoked sausage, tomatoes, trinity vegetables and Cajun spices. This was excellent. Smoky, flavorful, and carrying just enough heat to let you know it was Cajun without setting your face on fire. My adventure buddy never once reached for hot sauce, which says a lot! Then came the Cheesy Crab Bites ($15). These might actually be my favorite surprise of the evening. Homemade crab cake mix blended with mozzarella, cream cheese and garlic, rolled in panko and Old Bay, fried until golden and served with a house remoulade. I'd choose these over mozzarella sticks every single day of the week! The cheese pulls were absolutely glorious, and the remoulade added the perfect tangy finish. Finally, we tackled the Gourmet Crab Cake ($17). This thing was HUGE! Made with fresh Maryland blue crab, it was beautifully seasoned, perfectly cooked, and held together much better than several crab cakes I've had recently. I'm actually glad we skipped ordering it as a sandwich because the crab cake itself deserved to be the star of the show. Our total came to right around $60, and considering how much food we ordered, plus the leftovers we both brought home, I thought it was money well spent. We grabbed one of the covered tables out back overlooking the yard and listening to the creek rush by. Despite the rain, it was a really relaxing place to enjoy dinner. I can only imagine how nice it is on a sunny summer evening. The staff couldn't have been kinder, bringing everything out to us with smiles and making us feel right at home. This place is an absolute hidden gem and one of my favorite seafood spots to have checked out in the last few months! I'll definitely be back, preferably on a dry evening when I can fully enjoy the creekside setting. If you love crab, seafood, or just supporting awesome local businesses, don't sleep on Grappling Crab Shack. And whatever you do...order the deviled eggs!
