There were a couple people already waiting in line when we arrived, but no one at the register. After a few more minutes the people ahead of us got tired of waiting and left. We had already had our minds set on a few menu items to try so we waited. The team member who took our order was very nice but a bit slow at the register. We weren't in a rush, so it didn't really bother us. The husband was quite hungry, so we ended up over-ordering -- House Chips & Cheese, Potato Bacon Pizza, Short-Rib Melt and Pastrami. It all came our pretty fast and it was ALOT (lol)! The House Chips were generous, fresh and tasty. The Potato Bacon pizza was delicious! The sandwiches, although flavorful, were kinda skimpy. We felt that we were biting into mostly bread. The fries were hot and super crispy. Service was great overall. There's a flat screen TV in the middle of the dining room that was showing college football. I liked that takeout boxes for leftovers were easily accessible to everyone. There's ample seating inside and several picnic tables at the shared area outside. The layout is nice with three connected establishments -- Freda's, Rori's and Topa Topa. Something for the entire family! :)

Salads are big and they have a variety. Service is hit or miss to be honest. I've gone and it's been spot on, quick, and attentive. I've also gone and it's take 45 minutes for one pizza to be made. I think they have gone through new employees over the years and when it's new employees working the service can be slow. I know one time I was in there and the kid behind the register was going snails pace...unfortunately this was on the local college's graduation day so the place was packed. I should have known better. Like any place, try to go during non-peak hours. Easier said than done with work and such. We just went on a Friday at opening (12pm) and the service was fantastic. We like to sit outside in the covered patio. Parking is awful as the Blvd is always busy. Just have to pray and try to time it out nicely. I do appreciate that Freda's is next to and in same building as Rori's ice cream and Topa Topa Brewing. Pizza, ice cream, and beer/hard seltzer/ciders. And Cafe Ficelle is also next door so add good iced coffee to the mix! Good combination for a couple of hours with friends and the kids.

About 25 years ago, I worked in Newbury Park and used to go to the Old New York Deli location there…read morepretty regularly. Back then I was younger and on a budget, so I mostly stuck to a few lunch specials and never really explored the rest of the menu. That location has been gone for years, but recently I started going to the Old New York Deli in Camarillo. And now I'm realizing what I've been missing all these years. This is a real, old-school New York Jewish deli and bakery, and I've barely scratched the surface. Let's start with the everything bagels. They're in another class. You really can't compare a good New York-style bagel to something from the grocery store or even most of the bagel shops around here. The chew is different. They're moist, flavorful, and absolutely loaded with everything seasoning. I've been back several times now just to pick up a dozen. I used to think grabbing the double pack of bagels at Costco for six bucks was good enough. Nope. I'm ruined now. These are too good. I'll gladly pay more and actually enjoy the bagel. Then there are the apple turnovers. Astonishing. And the dessert counter is ridiculous. It's overflowing with pastries and desserts, and everything looks like something you want to take home. The staff has also been amazing every time I've been in. And I'm really just getting started. There are blintzes, all the deli classics, and a whole menu I somehow ignored when I was younger. Corned beef and pastrami are very high on my list for the next visit. My only disappointment is realizing I could have been enjoying this place for the last 25 years. I'll be back many, many, times.

Since we were already starving, we pivoted and just ordered drinks and baked goods. The drinks: I got the White Chocolate Mocha and it was delicious, perfectly sweet and smooth. My husband tried the Blended Mocha and said it was just okay (nothing special). The baked goods: The banana slice was really good, moist and flavorful. My husband grabbed the M&M cookie, but it definitely wasn't freshly made. It was still decent, just not amazing. On the plus side, we had no idea this bakery was so close to where we live! We'll definitely be back to give their breakfast and sandwiches a try, just next time we'll come with more patience and more time. Bottom line: Great drinks, good pastries, but factor in a long wait if you're ordering hot food. Worth a second chance for the full menu!

This was my second trip to Cheesesteak Republic…read more I was in town for work and was looking for something new to eat. And somehow this caught my eye and I was immediately intrigued. It's been on my mind ever since my first visit a couple of weeks ago. I'd ordered my food online and went to pick it up. By no means am I an expert and don't know how "authentic" or not this is for the purists. But I know this was delicious. For both visits I am getting the 11.5" Da Jabroni. The first time I got provolone and then the second time I got the whiz cheese I can't really decide which one is better but both were amazing. Also I ordered the parmesan truffle fries that comes with a ranch and their spicy wikkid dip sauce It's a pretty generous size of fries but considering how much of the cheese steak that I had eaten I wish I had more of an appetite to eat more of the fries. On my first trip here it was a little bit hard to find where this was located at. But all the information says it's at the VFW building. My first visit I parked on the opposite side of the building so I had to find the correct side of the location. There are a couple tables right outside for you to enjoy. But the team here was very happy and you can tell that they really like working here. I would highly recommend cheesesteak Republic as the place to go if you're looking for Philly cheese steak in the area. I can't wait to be back in town to order this again. Delicious and what a wonderful spot.

The patio is large with tables nicely spaced. The patio has lots of TVs if you want to watch a game. It faces the parking lot so no significant car noise or exhaust smells. They took them back and came back with them crispy and hot - just the way we love them. The Reuben was delish - as good as any I have had at the local deli restaurants.
