I've been working around the corner from this place for a few months now and have wanted to try it. I'm a big fan of Detroit-style pizza so when I saw that they had one, I had to try it. If you don't know, this type of pizza is a deeper dish rectangle pie with crispy crust as a result of cheese being cooked on the edges and the sauce on top of the cheese and toppings. But that's not what they do here. Not even sure this qualifies as pizza. What I got was not a Detroit pizza and it was 26 bucks. The pic on the website looked amazing. What ended up in my pizza box can only be described as a hate crime. How does this happen? I even asked for it to be well done and it was still undercooked. The cheese tasted like wax. They put the sauce in containers on the side which was watery and had lacked flavor. It didn't seem like anyone knew how to make this. I tried to share it with everyone in the office. My family would order from here when they first opened years ago. Then we stopped after about a year due to the quality of the food dropping off. Lately I been wanting to try again. So last night we ordered a bunch of food to try. Baked Ziti, BBQ salad, deep dish pizza, tenders & fries and some mozzarella sticks. We ordered through an AP that listed most ingredients so you can remove whatever you don't want. However, I did not see an option to remove the spinach from the pizza. When the order was delivered we were all very pleased. The portions were a good size and everything tasted great. Also, the prices were very reasonable. This place used to be called Tony's NY Pizza - the name (and the owner) might have changed, but the PIZZA is spot on! It's HUGE for the special price of $21 (including tax) took me 3 days to eat the entire pie. As a re-located NYer, I will say this is as close to NY style as one can get west of the Mississippi. The parking is a bit weird for the location, but it's really close just off the LEWIS exit coming from the south - and just off Carmen/Arneil from the North. This was one of the worst pizzas I have had in California. It was over done., dried out and over all gross almost to the point of taking it back to the store! Ordered a jumbo pizza with several toppings. Decided to eat at the restaurant with some family members. Observed the interactions of the people at the counter with customers coming in for either to go orders or eating there. All were professional, courteous and gave the customer the best deal they could from various specials that were posted. Employees answering the phone were accommodating too. Now, the real subject-pizza. The thin crust (New York style) was good. They also had some Sicilian style available-ordered a slice of that as well. Finally got delivery from Tony's pizza bros in Camarillo and it was a solid delivery pizza joint. My review is strictly for delivery as I haven't had the opportunity to dine in yet. We were impressed that the menu was extensive with different pizza toppings and sides. The menu read like a traditional pizza restaurant but still there were a lot of great items and variety to pick from, nice when there are more options other than pizza like salads, wings, and pasta. As far as delivery goes it was easy peasy, no issues or anything exciting to report. The pizza is a solid 4/5 all day long. It was a little greasy (in a good way) which made the pizza more flavorful. We enjoyed the toppings, there were classic, no frills but good. The crust was made well and we liked the overall bite of the pizza. The antipasto was actually super stellar! I'm not one to always get a salad from a pizza joint but we were really glad we got one here. They had a good amount of toppings on the salad and the Italian dressing was flavorful and not too vinegary. I'd definitely pair some salad with my pizza from here in the future. I dug into the pizza too fast with low expectations that I didn't think of taking a nice picture. After my first bite, I was surprised the pizza tasted pretty good! I pass by this place every time we want to hit the freeway and I always said to myself "One day imma try that place!" I highly recommend ordering ahead of time because parking is such a challenge. Luckily, you can park at the back of the pizza shop where there's a very small sign that is for pick up only. Probably can fit a car or two depending on the size. I ended up getting the NY pizza with meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni. Best decision ever!! Not too greasy, the pizza was cooked right, and I can't believe how much the meatballs made a difference in the pizza. Have you ever tried Pizza Huts NY style pizza?! I have and it's horrible! Unbelievable! The pizza is reasonably priced and truly the best I have ever had. And even though you buy 1 slice, you get 2 slices-see the photo. Thin, crispy crust and just right texture. Mine was mushroom; my companion had pepperoni. The fettuccine alfredo was also excellent, and folks, this is a bargain; the place is an amazing find. They just started serving breakfast a few months ago and I hear everyone talking about it, I think they just have a lot of family and friends promoting because I hate to give bad reviews but it was terrible. It looks pretty but tasted awful. The ranchera sauce on my omelette tasted disgusting and like a chemical, I couldn't eat it. I ate a few bites only where the sauce wasn't. The toast came out late, way after the food and it wasn't even busy so no excuse for that. It was also only lightly toasted on one side. The coffee tasted terrible too. At least they chill their creamers. Boyfriends bacon came out as he was finishing his meal and it wasn't crunchy at all, not cooked enough. Waste of money, we will never go back. Sorry but it's true. I got 3 slices(margarita, cheese, and a version of the vegetarian), a caprese salad, and a slice of tiramisu to go. They were all good. The margarita slice and the tiramisu were the best. I've had their pizza twice now, so that's a fair sample size to give a review Their pizzas are aggressively salty. I like salty food, but this is simply too much. The salami was nearly undetectable (2 ounces is the norm for a 16 inch pizza...look at the photo). It was probably one slice, finely julienned. Ditto for the basil. I would have preferred a single leaf in the center of the pizza. The sausage "dust" was extremely salty. 5.25 ounces of cooked sausage is the norm for this size. I appreciated that the sauce didn't taste like it had sugar, but I'd bet that it has a fair amount of salt (possibly garlic salt). Although they use pricey flour to make tbeir dough, the end result doesn't show it. The crust was cardboard-like. Although a crust changes by the time the pizza gets delivered, most delivery pizzerias now how much oil to put itnto the dough to keep it tender and to facilitate reheating (typically about 2-3%). They have good ovens to bake NY-style pizza, but for some reason they're not achieving it. Perhaps the temperature is too low? They need to find an experienced pizza chef that can take their ingredients and make them sing. My suggestion is to stretch the dough thinner, bake it at 600F, use less cheese, plain unseasoned tomato sauce and CHUNKS of proteins scattered on the pizza. After the bake put couple whole basil leaves, a little grapeseed oil and a small amount of oregano. Make the pizzas smaller if you have to, ditch the coupons, and charge whatever you need to make a profit. If it's good, people will pay for it and come back again. Camarillo needs a pizzeria that fires on all cylinders. Best of luck read more

This is the best pizza spot in the area for lunch. Really great NY style pizza that is thin and has a great crisp. Nice folks, quick service, but mediocre food. I came here because they were on the aa dining program and the reviews were pretty good. I had ordered the Spicy Chicken El Diablo and a slice of pizza. The El Diablo was good but a bit disappointing in the fact that there was NO spice. It may have been for the better as I was running a Marathon the next day, but why call it "spicy?" I wanted some heat! I had also ordered a slice of cheese, which was really 2 slices. I feel like you can tell the quality of a Pizza place by the quality of a single slice of cheese. It was Good, but nothing outrageous. It could have been a bit more crispy with more seasoning. The service was very kind and fast. I would say that this is a solid 3.5 stars, but due to the good service, quick speed, AA dining miles, i'll round up to 4. This is my first yelp review. I usually post my reviews on Google, where I'll likely copy and paste this. Some history. I have had this pizza (or rather, pizza from this location) a handful of times over the past 25 years - remembering it as being just OK. It's not that the pizza was bad, simply that there was nothing remarkable about it that left me craving the food later on My daughter and I went to the Camarillo Beer March in...wait for it...March. All the local businesses in the old town vicinity had something special or promotional going on. It appeared, at least to me, that the event turnout being fairly successful. Tony's Pizza Bros. was one of the featured stops in the march where a local brewery had posted up to offer tastings of their ale. As an unexpected bonus, Tony's offered various samplings of items from their menu. The garlic knots were fantastic, while every few minutes a fresh pizza was brought out and they invited people to enjoy a free slice (or 3). Of note, I recall their margherita pizza ad being exceptionally tasty. Now, I rarely order out, because I really enjoy cooking and also have tons of food in stock to cook. However, torment me with a hot and humid September Sunday, and any former appeal that cooking once held abandons me loins toute suite. So I think of Tony's Pizza Bros. They are within walking distance from me, and I'd rather walk in the humidity than cook in it. I could've driven but why? I placed my order on the website where I order a slice. The additional toppings are a little confusing to me, because they offer margherita and "meat lovers" each as individual toppings. I figured let's try it and see what happens. The $4.95 slice became a $6.95 slice if topped with what I'd hoped by deploying my "loophole" discovery, then it will have been well worth it. I also ordered a pastrami sandwich. The grand total, tip included, came in at a whopping $24 and change. Ending my short walk, I enter the establishment. Looked to be two employees on duty who greeted me with warm smiles followed by very friendly service. My order was fresh and ready to go at the time promised. But wait!!! As I was turning to leave, the gentleman behind the counter stops me then places another pizza box on the counter. He said that someone had not picked up their order, then inquiring if I'd be interested in a taking a couple of more slices. Wherewithal providing me strength and courage to hold out for much longer than most, alas, it is fact that everyone cracks eventually. Especially after subjections to gentle water boardings - immediately followed by a round of heavy petting. Nearly unable to find my voice, I gasp out a feeble, "sure I'll take it, thanks!" If you've made it this far, you'll find this story's fairytale ending uncovered through a deep dive within the blatant composition and nuance of my stellar photography. Keep in mind that I ordered only one sandwich. I will definitely be going back, because lots of food and big portions are nice, but if the food sucks, then what you ate left with is lots of food and big portions of sucky food.
