The sandwiched here are freshly made and are tasty. They have a good variety of sandwich options and additional toppings. They are busy everytime we go. Seems to be a popular lunch spot in the area. It was pretty smoky inside, so we waited for our order outside. Other than that, the staff was pleasant and so was the food.

B-b-b-bruhhhh. I have likely previously posted stars to PhillyMeUp but more are deserved. Regular Cajun combo and you will be good to go (maybe even in a food coma afterward). Simple and consistent cheesesteaks. Newer crew did well at the usual 11am rush. Arrive early or late. My recommendation is 1050AM or after 12noon. Calling ahead to order is advised. By 1130 the line was well beyond what you see and for good reason. Great job PhillyMeUp. Keep it up. *Today was especially busy at lunch and good for them. However, my order was consistent as always. Delicious.

Born and raised in Southern New Jersey, I would call myself a cheesesteak aficionado. I am always hesitant to order cheesesteaks outside of the tri-state area for fear of disappointment. I happened to stumble upon Philly Me Up and it piqued my interest. After reading another review posted here from another NJ native, I was convinced I had to try it. The food: Any Philly or Philly-adjacent native would know that one of the keys to the best cheesesteaks is the roll. Philly Me Up does it right! The not only ship in the proper Amoroso's rolls from Philly, but they ship in their steak from Philly as well. BLOWN AWAY by the dedication to keep things authentic. Many non-Philly cheesesteak places (including that franchise by Mike) also miss out on the other key ingredient - the whiz! Philly Me Up has got it all! If you're homesick for a really Philly cheesesteak you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a Louisiana flare, you also won't be disappointed. Hubby got the Cajun steak, which was spicy and delicious. We were a little disappointed in the cheese fries since we both like crispy fries and these were a bit on the softer side. The generous portion of liquid gold (cheese) made up for that part, though. The locale: The inside of this place felt super authentic as well with a few tables and high topics, but it seems most people order take out. Prices: Prices are super reasonable, especially for the quality of the food! I'm already thinking of when I'll be back at Philly Me Up!

We had lunch here today & we both got a Cajun Philly Cheese sub, it had lots of shaved chopped steak, pepper Jack cheese and jalapeños all had Cajun seasoning and it was super delicious it was very juicy. We also got a cheese fry which was super yummy even though the fry's were frozen they were delicious smothered in the cheese whiz sauce / liquid gold sauce lol. We will most certainly be coming back here.. everything was cooked to order and served piping hot just as it should be.

I've been on a favourite cheesestake hunt and I finally found one !! This is definitely the best I've had in Louisiana, all that burst of flavour added to the flavour from the pickled topping was really great. I'm giving a 5 star because it was a perfect experience. The waiter was really sweet and patient while attending to us, the steak was well cooked and extremely flavorful and the sitting area was very cool. I'd definitely be going there again.

They weren't that great, if I'm being honest, but I was hungry so they got the job done. The crawfish are clearly the star of the show here anyway. The interior is a trip back in time. The spacious dining room is complete with retro furniture, checkered floors, and old school artwork that feels like something out of the 1950s. The decor screams pure Americana and is one of the biggest draws for the many patrons that come through daily. My favorite part is their juicy burgers. Pair it with their crispy fries and their old school milkshakes, and one has a complete meal. The burgers are hearty, and the portions are substantial. They also have salads, other sandwiches (tuna is my go-to), and various options for loaded fries. The other awesome part are the prices. I went for the lunch buffet for $13.99 and feel like the BR location def has more options than the NOLA location (I haven't been to that spot in over a year though). There are some seafood options during lunch (salt and pepper crab, salmon, assortment of fish, and mussels) but if you want a wider variety, dinner is the way to go. I didn't try the sushi because the majority of them were always wiped out but the chefs in the back were doing their best to replenish whenever they could. Nothing to extraordinary with the sushi, I feel like you could get most of em at the grocery store. My favs at lunch were hands down the salmon and the baked mussels w cheese on top. The salmon was SEASONED SO WELL and I just kept going back for more. The mussels and cheese was def a hit too bc I could see the chefs restock every so often. There's unlimited boba (not included in the buffet) and I had the mango, which tasted watered down to me. The ice cream was amazing, got a mix of the taro and mango. The cakes were extremely dry and the mousse was the only thing saving it from totally crumbling in my mouth. For the most part, the food was piping hot, but there were a few options that were cold when I ate them, hence the 4 stars. We specifically found this restaurant because we searched online for gluten free restaurants, so we were excited to see that you offered a separate gluten free menu. However, there are some serious issues with the accuracy of that menu that need to be addressed. When we asked about the pork rinds brought to the table, we were told they are fried in the same oil as everything else. That in itself is your choice as a restaurant, and we understand cross contamination can happen. We were also told the french fries are cooked in beef tallow in a separate fryer, but they are not considered gluten free, which is why they are not listed on the gluten free menu. Again, that is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is having items listed on the gluten free menu that are not actually gluten free due to cross contamination. The pork rinds and cheddar filled tater tots were both listed on the gluten free menu despite being fried in shared oil with gluten containing foods. For someone with celiac disease, this is not a small mistake or a dietary preference issue. My husband has celiac disease, and if he had eaten the pork rinds based on trusting the gluten free menu, he could have become extremely ill and potentially needed hospital care. Our daughter has gluten sensitivity, and she would have been sick for the rest of the night as well. Many people still treat gluten free as if it is just a fad diet, but for people with celiac disease, it is a serious autoimmune condition that causes real physical harm. To the OWNER: please educate your staff and kitchen on what gluten free truly means, and update the menu so customers can trust it. People with celiac disease should not have to risk getting sick because menu items are mislabeled.
