Always ready when I pick up my orders. I usually get the pretzel rivet trays, but the full size pretzels also slap. Casual. Exactly what you'd expect. Price is cheap. Why get any other pretzels??

I had a great experience with Philly Pretzel Factory! I was hosting an event next door at Necromancer Brewing and knew I wanted to provide some light snacks that would pair well with beer. These soft pretzels were perfect! I tried to place the order online, but for some reason it would not accept my order. I called and did it over the phone and it was super easy. 100 soft pretzels is only $68?! What a deal. I called when I was on my way to pick them up and the employee notified me that they would be coming out of the oven in about 10 minutes. They were hot and ready right on time. The employees were super friendly and the pretzels were great! I added honey mustard and cheese, but should have remembered to ask for spoons for the cheese sauce. The pretzels were soft and smelled/tasted fresh! The employees were so friendly when I picked up the order and even helped me out to the car with them. I would absolutely recommend these pretzels and this location especially.

I was in the area and did not even Know about the Pittsburgh Pretzel Factory until I drove past it. I swore on my way back I would stop and check the place out. The place is pretty big and they do all there own baking right on premises. I got 3 pretzels to go. I did not even make it to the car before I started eating the freshly made hot pretzel. The pretzel was totally delicious. They make all sorts of platters and other types of pretzel type items. The guy behind the counter was very nice and super helpful. Great customer service. The prices are great as well. This is definetly my go to lace for great fresh hot pretzels. You can be sure I will be going again and again.

PPF is one of my favorite places to stop to get a quick bite. Each and every time I come here, I'm greeted with nothing but smiling faces. There's always so much to choose from- regular pretzels, cinnamon, rivets, trays, pretzel dogs, etc. The list goes on an on!! I love that you can always see someone in the back making fresh pretzels. This ensures that the pretzels aren't sitting out all day long and are made frequently. My personal favorite is the pretzel dog. It's always cooked to perfection and warmed just right. You can never go wrong with the classic pretzel though. And the cinnamon one.... actually who am I kidding they're all fantastic. Each pretzel has a unique dip that pairs perfectly with it. They even sell big containers of the dips if you're really feeling it. Oh! I forgot to mention they have coffee in this location as well!! They offer French vanilla flavored or a breakfast blend. The coffee is always fresh as well and is amazing. You definitely have to try a cup! Lastly, this establishment is always so clean. For how much they're cooking in the back, I would think there would be salt everywhere and little pretzels hiding everywhere. That's certainly not the case here. It's kept so nice and clean which is very important in the food industry. Did I mention they can bless your party/ gathering with the most delicious trays of pretzels? I've gotten a full size tray of rivets so many times and I feel like they never go bad for the whole time of the event. You even get 3 big dips when you get this tray! Seriously the perfect addition to whatever you're catering. I am seriously so obsessed with this place. I stop each time I'm out this way!

Hard as rocks Rivets, tiny Hot Dogs, $1 Cheese, .50 Hot Mustard and a bottle Tea for $10.50 and all the regrets...blah

Pretzels are good. Get stale real quick. Shops are run by kids. They have weird hours close to early.

Such a fun, hands on experience getting to see Kyle in action and the amount of hard work that goes into every order. I loved hearing his stories about his childhood and his family influences. Kyle is only 31 and has owned his business for over 7 years! That's impressive. You can really see the passion behind his baking. He works incredibly hard and even sacrifices a lot of his social life to keep growing his business, perfecting his craft, and supporting his community. This shop is part of a larger chain but currently appears to be the only location in the Pittsburgh area. It's located in East Liberty and is really more of a bakery than a coffee shop. The inside is split about 50/50, with half dedicated to seating and the other half serving as a self-serve bakery. You grab a tray and tongs before walking around selecting whichever baked goods catch your eye. They also have display cases filled with cakes and other pastries that need to be kept refrigerated. For my coffee on this morning I went with a 16 oz hot honey lavender macchiato while my wife chose a 16 oz iced tiramisu latte. I have to admit that the name of my drink confused me a bit at first, but it ended up being a latte macchiato as expected. With that being said, I thought it was quite good. The lavender was light enough to be noticeable without overpowering the drink, while the honey added just the right amount of sweetness. The espresso was also present, especially on the finish, where it added both flavor and body. My wife also enjoyed her latte and appreciated the tiramisu flavors throughout. Outside of the coffee, we ordered a number of pastries. My wife chose the Crookie, which is a cookie baked on top of a croissant. My son picked out a chocolate-covered Belgian waffle, while my daughter chose the strawberry soft bread. All of them enjoyed what they ordered, and I think my wife especially loved the Crookie. As for me, I went a little overboard and chose a garlic and cheese croissant, a curry croquette, pork-dusted bread, and a sweet taro cream bread. All of them were delicious in their own way. The garlic and cheese croissant was a nice savory option, with plenty of garlic flavor and a crispy cheese crust. The curry croquette had wonderful warming spices that made it especially flavorful. The pork-dusted bread was definitely the most unusual item. The pork topping reminded me of Wild Bill's Beef Jerky, and somehow those savory flavors worked really well on top of the crunchy laminated bread. Last but certainly not least was the taro cream bread. I was impressed by how light it felt despite being packed with an impressive amount of cream filling. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I'm a sucker for bakeries like this and clearly ordered far more than my waistline needed, but everything I tried was enjoyable. While the coffee was good, the pastries are the real reason to visit, with the coffee serving as an excellent complement.
