Was in the area, and my wife used to live in Philly (and may or may not have lived off of pretzels and soup), so she insisted we go in. The place is takeout, with a variety of pretzel options. For relatively cheap, you can get Philly-style pretzels a la carte. They also sell nuggets (both salted and cinnamon sugar), dips, and hotdog pretzels. A woman was walking out with a giant party tray of pretzels, so that's an option for your next get-together. The service was fast and friendly. Like I said, I don't have a major nostalgia connection to Philly-style pretzels, so to me, they were just okay. But if you want to go big on pretzels for a good price, this place is a good option.

Always ready when I pick up my orders. I usually get the pretzel rivet trays, but the full size pretzels also slap. Casual. Exactly what you'd expect. Price is cheap. Why get any other pretzels??

I had a great experience with Philly Pretzel Factory! I was hosting an event next door at Necromancer Brewing and knew I wanted to provide some light snacks that would pair well with beer. These soft pretzels were perfect! I tried to place the order online, but for some reason it would not accept my order. I called and did it over the phone and it was super easy. 100 soft pretzels is only $68?! What a deal. I called when I was on my way to pick them up and the employee notified me that they would be coming out of the oven in about 10 minutes. They were hot and ready right on time. The employees were super friendly and the pretzels were great! I added honey mustard and cheese, but should have remembered to ask for spoons for the cheese sauce. The pretzels were soft and smelled/tasted fresh! The employees were so friendly when I picked up the order and even helped me out to the car with them. I would absolutely recommend these pretzels and this location especially.

I was in the area and did not even Know about the Pittsburgh Pretzel Factory until I drove past it. I swore on my way back I would stop and check the place out. The place is pretty big and they do all there own baking right on premises. I got 3 pretzels to go. I did not even make it to the car before I started eating the freshly made hot pretzel. The pretzel was totally delicious. They make all sorts of platters and other types of pretzel type items. The guy behind the counter was very nice and super helpful. Great customer service. The prices are great as well. This is definetly my go to lace for great fresh hot pretzels. You can be sure I will be going again and again.

PPF is one of my favorite places to stop to get a quick bite. Each and every time I come here, I'm greeted with nothing but smiling faces. There's always so much to choose from- regular pretzels, cinnamon, rivets, trays, pretzel dogs, etc. The list goes on an on!! I love that you can always see someone in the back making fresh pretzels. This ensures that the pretzels aren't sitting out all day long and are made frequently. My personal favorite is the pretzel dog. It's always cooked to perfection and warmed just right. You can never go wrong with the classic pretzel though. And the cinnamon one.... actually who am I kidding they're all fantastic. Each pretzel has a unique dip that pairs perfectly with it. They even sell big containers of the dips if you're really feeling it. Oh! I forgot to mention they have coffee in this location as well!! They offer French vanilla flavored or a breakfast blend. The coffee is always fresh as well and is amazing. You definitely have to try a cup! Lastly, this establishment is always so clean. For how much they're cooking in the back, I would think there would be salt everywhere and little pretzels hiding everywhere. That's certainly not the case here. It's kept so nice and clean which is very important in the food industry. Did I mention they can bless your party/ gathering with the most delicious trays of pretzels? I've gotten a full size tray of rivets so many times and I feel like they never go bad for the whole time of the event. You even get 3 big dips when you get this tray! Seriously the perfect addition to whatever you're catering. I am seriously so obsessed with this place. I stop each time I'm out this way!

Hard as rocks Rivets, tiny Hot Dogs, $1 Cheese, .50 Hot Mustard and a bottle Tea for $10.50 and all the regrets...blah

Pretzels are good. Get stale real quick. Shops are run by kids. They have weird hours close to early.

Classic hot dogs with elevated flavors and genuinely good hearted owners!…read more Pittsburgh Street Dogs is tucked in the corner of a parking lot of Springdale... but they represent nationwide flavors with their creative and generously topped hot dogs!! From the moment I walked in, the owners greeted me and immediately walked me through the whole process. The menu is extensive, but they explained it all and were more than happy to take any other questions. You can tell these two love what they do with so much fun hot dog decor on every wall, Springdale High School gear draping the walls, and such creative and honor for their craft of delivering top notch food to their community! I ordered the Kansas City Chief Hot Dog, the Elote Hot Dog, and a side of Notorious RBC fries!! I added on a Turners Tea and a pack of Chocolate Crinkle cookies!! Let me just say... ILLL BE BACKKK again and again!! I got the order to go and they individually packed my ranch and my lime so that I could dress the items when I was ready to eat. The Kansas City Chief was amazing. Sauerkraut and Thousand Island bubbling out of the bun... but just that snap of the hot dog and perfect bun to hold all of the culinary chaos in. The Elote Hot Dog was just like you'd want. The lime juice popping off with the fresh sweet corn and spices!! The Notorios RBC should definitely be notorious such flavor with the ranch, bacon, chili, and cheese but the fresh French fries held up and had crisp crunch throughout. Turners Iced Tea in a carton.... That's just true yinzer code! And the cookiessss... it really was a brookie and mannnn it was decadent and moist... almost as if they baked them just that morning!! The price is soooo reasonable. The vibe is Pittsburgh dive. The food will knock your socks off! Hot dog. Hot dog. Hot diggity dog!!!

There are additional shaded tables outside, too. The staff is very friendly, and made us feel welcome. Our hot dogs were terrific, (natural casing, and they did have the satisfying "snap!" as advertised) and our cookies were also outstanding. There are plenty of sides, too. One menu item included a trio of mac & cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw. If you are a vegetarian, you will likely be able to find something to eat here. We will definitely stop back here if we're in the area again!

Their menu covers quite a few things. Pizza,, of course dogs and burgers, hoagies and salads. Plus. Any vegetarians out there definitely want to try this place. It was so nice to have OPTIONS. Tasty wings and great hot dogs equals my kind of restaurant!…read more They have a variety of wing flavors and truly get them right. They are decently sized (seriously, why are so many wings in Pittsburgh so tiny?!) and they cook them to the perfect level of crispy. They also have both blue cheese and celery (which can be surprisingly hard to find in Pittsburgh). They have a monthly hot dog flavor and they are always creative. I think my favorite may have been their buffalo chicken dip hot dog. They also have a set menu of some traditional combos (like a Chicago dog) but have some creative options like the pineapple one. The layout is interesting with some tables in the bar area (plus bar seating, some patio seating and a back room with additional tables. It can get busy, so there is often a wait. Service is always spot on and they are great at answering questions and helping make selections. Great place to watch a game or just grab a bite and is family friendly.
