Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday at The Cheesecake Factory and shockingly, no wait. We were greeted and seated immediately, which felt like a small victory...until we met our table. Sticky. Not just a little sticky....commitment-level sticky. To her credit, our server was great. We mentioned it, and she wiped it down right away, no questions asked, no awkwardness. Crisis averted. Bread and butter showed up quickly (arguably the highlight), giving us something to do while we waited. My husband ordered the Cuban with fries, and I had the crispy chicken with buffalo sauce and fries. The verdict? It was...fine. The kind of fine you forget about 20 minutes later. Naturally, we ordered cheesecake....because that's the whole point. We got the Godiva Chocolate and Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Ripple to go, but sampled them first (for quality control, obviously). Both were actually pretty good and definitely the most memorable part of the meal. All in all, it did the job. Extremely disappointing experience. Our server treated the table next to us with kindness, compliments, and patience, while barely making eye contact with us. She often walked away before we could even finish speaking and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We were polite throughout the entire visit, but the difference in treatment was impossible to ignore. The food was just as disappointing. My Spicy Rigatoni Pasta was dry and undercooked, and my friend's well-done steak came out completely burnt (see photos). I can't say why we were treated so differently, but we left feeling unwelcome. Parking may cost you. There is a parking garage nearby but for this visit we elected parallel parking at a meter on the street. It was a weekday about 5:30pm so we only had to pay until 6pm and paid about $1. Good enough. It was packed inside but we only waited less than 5 minutes before the two of us were seated. The menu is quite extensive. I was impressed because similar restaurants (think TGIF) that used to have extensive menus had pared done to the bones. We both opted for selections off a skinny menu (cheaper options and less calories). I got a chicken rice bowl with cucumbers and edamame. And we both got cocktails. My mojito was very refreshing. Round 2: I went to the Cheesecake Factory for a chocolate martini, calamari appetizer and Sunday dinner to go. It was late, crowded and the service was a little slow. I didn't mind, the place was packed at 10 PM. The martini was prepared the way I like it. However, the calamari was served overcooked, dry and hard as rocks. First the Fettuccine with Shrimp was inedible, now the appetizer. I can hardly blame the waitress. She gave me what the cook gave her. But how can someone who prepares food justify allowing it to leave the kitchen in that state? Honestly this place is always consistent and I like coming here with friends and just vibing since there's a lot of seating and space. We never got a refill on any of our beverages. Whilst the table next to us got refilled by the second. We were respectful. Not even giving a sign of irritation though we were. Absolute nightmare experience. We waited an hour for our food. Once served it was partially cold, tasteless, very bland and obviously no effort was made to be excellent. Though there was no wait when we arrived (wonder why), we were escorted to a booth. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 children. It made absolutely no sense that we would be asked to sit in a confined space when there was plenty of room in the restaurant. Here are my ratings for the what we ate: Tossed green salad - 4 stars - This salad was a large size. It contained vegetables such as mixed greens, tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers as well as croutons and a dressing. The waiter forgot to bring a dressing, so he brought one later. Lemon-garlic shrimp - 4 stars - This entree contained several sautéed shrimp, which were juicy and had a flavorful sauce, and much angel-hair pasta that was cooked well. We were greeted by our server who was very nice and gave us fresh hot bread to start with. Jason (the manager) provided us a very poor experience today. Our server was great and apologetic, when our food took over an hour to come out (no appetizers, no special drinks, just four entrees). It was pretty dead inside, not very busy. We had not complained at all, but she said her manager would come over to see what they could do for us waiting so long. Jason came over to "apologize" and asked us if we needed anything to make things right, to which we said we would let him know. When our server came back, we asked if our desserts could be comped. She said she had to check with Jason. Jason came over, acted very obviously like he was shocked for any type of comp, and said he could not comp all our desserts (only three of us out of four ordered slices of cheesecake) especially when our entrees were "highly modified" as they are a "scratch kitchen" (the ONLY entree 'modified' was asking for GRILLED chicken instead of breaded on the Chicken Bellagio that already came with chicken. Is that really "HIGHLY" modified?). I have always ordered grilled chicken on this dish with no issues at any other location. If you are a 'scratch kitchen' and have been for a very long time, should it really take over an hour for entrees to come out? Why come over to our table and ask if there was anything to be done to apologize, when you really did not want to? He seemed like he was being inconvenienced by even comping ANYTHING even one dish. This to me is very poor management. If you came over to apologize, you should already have an idea of how to make it right. Don't ask how to make it right, if when offered how it could be made right, you obviously had not planned on following through. And don't gaslight us (with a condescending tone I might add) into actually thinking asking for grilled chicken from breaded is considered "highly modified" and the reason the dishes took over an HOUR to come out. Take accountability instead of a poor excuse by blaming the customer. Probably the worst Cheesecake Factory location I have been to because of our experience with this manager. She brought out cold, bite sized pineapple. She said "I did the best I could do" we also asked a manager if we could have cooked sliced pineapple on the burger; he said thats "all they have". Meanwhile this was fresh pineapple. We were then charged $2.50 for the fruit. Not what we wanted or even asked for. I feel like she was made aware we didn't want pineapple this way and should have been removed from the check. But she was rude the rest of the service. Our waitress greeted us immediately upon being seated. We placed our drink orders. We all got a lemonade variation. Weirdly, she kept refilling my son and his friend lemonade but not mine. I found it weird that I had to ask. The Caesar salad was really good. I loved it! I should have just added chicken to the salad and made it my entree. The flatbread pizza I ordered, I think, was undercooked. I did not feel well the next day. My son chicken Alfredo was good. His friend said the gumbo was good, but there were too many peppers in it. Haven't been here for awhile and was surprised on a Friday at noon it wasn't crowded. We easily got a seat and our server took our drink order.
