Best subs made fresh in front of you and also Broward/Dade staff very friendly you could either take it to go or sit down and eat

First to the reviewer who said they were closed recently, if they were, they are open now. From one side of the building there is a fence in front, and it kinda looks closed. From the numerous reviews I have read about the rude staff and poor customer service this is what I was expecting. This was not the case at all! The staff was polite, fast and helpful. Maybe they changed staff? I IDK but anyway I ordered the Philly cheese-steak, carrot cake, and chips. I got all 3 for just over $10, not bad. The sub was $7, $2 for the cake, .60 for the chips. The Philly cheese sub was good, but not the best I have had. Perhaps I should have had it without the mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomatoes, I thought that may be weird, but the guy at the counter asked if I wanted it so I figured its normally ordered that way? Anyway the meat was OK, could have been more flavorful and there was not enough cheese in my opinion. The bread seamed fresh, but I am not sure its the authentic kind I was hoping for. I should try again having the sub with just cheese and onions, it may have been better that way. So 3 stars for sub, 5 stars for carrot cake, and actually 5 stars for customer service. read more

Horrible attitudes and they really don't care about their customers, even the ones that have been going there for years. Every time I go in they're always so rude especially the lady in the front (I think her name is Barbra). Also NEVER try ordering from their website because when you call they won't answer and when you come in to pick it up they will say they never got it and scam you out your money. Walked in at 1250 almost half an hour for my order to be taken and another half an hour just to get it. For that I would have gone to a sit down restaurant and eaten. Food was okay got the philly and onion. Nothing to rave about have had better. Service was slow and rude. Old lady behind the counter mixed up order twice no matter how many times u repeat what you want. Don't recommend this place if u actually wanna eat what you order and want flavorful food. Cook and the older lady just started a screaming match with each other. Lunch and a show I guess since the cashier said enough and walked out. What a horror show this place is. Never coming again. If you're in the mood for a Philly Cheese steak, then you can't go wrong coming here. The service is not good at all and I still prefer Sub Center's Cheese steak, plus Sub Center has Barq's Red Cream Soda as a bonus. But I would place this place as the second best cheese steak I've had in South Florida. I Had the Steak Bomb with provolone and mayo. It's your basic Philly cheese steak but with bacon. The sandwich was delicious and I have no complains on the taste and quality. The shop is very casual and as I mentioned before, the service is not good, not friendly at all. I would have them again if for some reason I couldn't get Sub Center's Cheese steak. But if you live closer to this place, I suppose it'd be more convenient to come here. Completely overrated! The staff is rude and has no sense of customer service. I originally was going to order the "philly cheese steak with onions".The guy taking my order says only items that have a label saying cheese have cheese. Anything else is a .50 cent upgrade. I pointed out it it's a philly CHEESE steak on the menu. He reiterated it doesn't come with cheese. Ok... I still gave them a chance and ordered the steak bomb instead. This comes with your choice of cheese, mushrooms, onions, peppers and bacon. I got home and was finally able to eat it and was underwhelmed. Me and my cousin went here yesterday. For COVID, they can have only 4 ppl in at a time. When we got there it was a little bit before 8 which is the time that they close so since there were 4 ppl already inside we had to wait outside until customers leave for us to enter. Once we entered, the old white lady her name is BARBARA, was rushing us to place an order because they were closed but we did advise her that we were here before 8 but we had to wait to enter. Anyways, we placed our order and she didn't ask what toppings we wanted we yelled to her multiple times the toppings we wanted and she completely ignored us!!!!! She made our orders completely wrong we told her and she said she will Not be making them over because she been there since the morning! She was completely rude and nasty and needs to be fired! We were contemplating a trip to Philadelphia later in the year & had cheese steak on the brain and ultimately ended up here. Personally, I had no issues with the service. They were friendly enough and the turnaround time on the subs was pretty quick. The subs themselves were tasty enough. They use good bread here which is nice. I would rate the quality of the subs as above average. I ordered the steak bomb which is basically a Philly with bacon. I also added jalapenos for spiciness. Tried a few bites of the steak and pastrami and it was tasty as well. My one issue with this place is that their topping choices are somewhat limited. They had neither cherry pepper nor cheez wiz (which are must haves at a Philly spot imho). Definitely better than the chain places though. read more

I had just read about not being on your phone when you order, and there was a sign right in front of my face that said no phones. Bread rolls good wheat or white, the staff yells out to you, & you yell back, what you want on sub kind of place. Breakfast is even good here. Decent selection of drinks, even real sugarcane Birch Beer on Tap free refills. Here is my issue, with this formerly years ago Substantial Sub, Hungry Bear, Miramar Philly Steak Shop --seem like every 3 months the subs prices go up & & cheese is always extra charge. They pre measure out the meat earlier in day before serving & it seems to be losing a 1/2 oz in between each price increase - 1/2 a Philly sub w/ cheese & medium drink now $10. Used to be $6 few years back. Used to be a more filling better value. Another item is that the person on the grill is always wanting to serve the steak quickly even when it's slow-- but why must you chop up the steak to the consistency of cooked cat food. I wish I can give zero stars. This place is downright disgusting. First off, it's extremely dirty!! The health department needs to be called ASAP! The staff is so mean, rude and downright ignorant. I have never experienced anything like this before. They yell at their customers and it's extremely awkward and uncomfortable. We ended up leaving because of the hostile staff and dirty surfaces. Philly steak is a great place to grab a meaty sub and go. as simple as that. It's subrageous good. We go there for lunch at least once a week. they don't have the nicest service and you have to be paying attention to the crew...as all the orders from everyone else before and after you get all mixed up they somehow get your order right...at least for me..they've never messed up my order. the place is a dump. its not for eating there..but its cheap and it satisfies. Not a very friendly staff, the black dude behind the counter kept looking at me as if I was an Alien from outer space! Seen one of the subs and it didn't look very filling for the $10 - $12 they were asking for on the menu. I'm very finicky about my food, if The sub is priced THAT much the contents better be falling out of the bread. Besides the point the customer service was terrible, they don't give you a very warm welcome or try to help you decide on what to buy for a new customer. "First impressions are not always right" This is that kind of a place, staff not so great but man they can make mean sub! I personally like the chicken cordon blue sub. The sub is a grilled chicken with melted cheese with onions and anything else you want to add. They also add some magic sauce that it's delicious. Finally they put inside the bun, 6' or 12' long. And they add salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar (up to you) and they place a small plastic paper so they cheese and chicken do get stuck on the paper. AWESOME IDEA. With chips and a soda delicious lunch. OK I've been out of the Northeast for a while now and I've been craving a good Philly cheesesteak sub. Not too many in the area to select from but this one is close by to the office so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the large 12 inch Philly cheesesteak with provolone, green peppers, mushrooms and grilled onions with a side of fries. Upon receipt the fries were piping hot and crispy. The fries were pretty good and didn't have a funky oil taste. Now on to the main course... I have to say that I was impressed with the quality of my cheesesteak sub. They actually used real chop steak And delicious provolone cheese. I have to say I was impressed with the flavor. They don't use a lot of seasoning on their meat because a Philly cheesesteak Shouldn't be over seasoned but You should be able to enjoy the true flavor of the meat peppers, onions and cheese. Of course I also had lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. If you're looking for a true Philly sub then this is a pretty good option for you. The establishment inside Was pretty clean and spacious with large bench seating. They also had a TV mounted in the upper left and right hand corners of the room. Pretty basic but it gets the job done. The parking lot is kind of tight so I recommend showing up a little before the lunch hour. The people working behind the counter have the Philly attitude... So please don't be on your cell phone or not prepared to order when it's your turn... You might just get glossed over or passed up. I'll definitely be back to try the meatball sub. read more

4.5 stars, Iove this place. yes, the ordering can be intimidating when it is crowded, usually lunch time. don't go there with the munchies after smoking a fatty if its your first time. i don't mind the decor one bit. i usually get my steak bomb 12" with everything and get my self a small soda(free refills), a New Times, and spend all lunch hour with a fork and knife enjoying the crazy line of diverse people in this great place. $8.36 w/soda for the best sub I have every had.
