I was at the medical supply store when I saw the sign for Sub Cafe. I remember reading Yelp and seeing some reviews and decided to go in. It's fun when you walk in. It's totally a 50's style diner with a cutout of Elvis, and pictures of Marilyn Monroe and the . The booths look like car seats. I liked it! The restaurant is not huge, but they have big booths (7-8) that hold 2-4 people on each side. There was a line before me, about 6 men, and 2 cooks behind the counter. You order and they make it, then ask if you want to eat in or take out. I wanted to eat inside (although there are a few covered tables outside). It's very clean inside and a nice low key atmosphere. The cooks have an established routine. They can toast and grill and do both at once. One of the cooks apologized for the wait, but it was fine. They are both older men but quick and very pleasant. I ordered the ham and cheese with scrambled eggs on Cuban toast and it was delicious! Ham was salty enough to taste it and the Cuban bread was so fresh! It also was way bigger than I thought it would be! I could only finish half - but it was delicious. They serve breakfast all day and also have hamburgers, hotdogs, salads, gyros and few other things. All types of coffee from cuban to American. All in all I definitely would go back. I saw some Yelp reviews that said they had changed and were not very good before, but I disagree.

Muy buen lugar para disfrutar una rica compañía con los mejores sándwiches

We've been coming to Subcafe for years! On every other visit, I would give 5 stars, but today, we waited for over 45 minutes for our two sandwiches to be made. Normally, we order our subs to go, but today, we had some free time and the weather was beautiful, so we decided to sit out on the patio. The server was so sweet and took our order shortly after being seated, but then we just waited and waited. I'm not sure what the issue was since it wasn't that busy, but regardless, the sub I ordered (hot zesty Italian) and the double smash burger my husband ordered were amazing. The burger wasn't actually a smash burger, so it ended up being two huge patties, but still delicious. It came with seasoned fries which I also really enjoyed.

This has been around for a long time but this is the first time that we've eaten here. There are 2 entrances; the entrance to the right is for dine-in and the entrance to the left is for take out. They also have outdoor seating if you prefer to sit outside which is what we did during our visit. My husband and I split a Philly Cheese Steak #2 which came with Onions, Green Peppers and Mushrooms. We were surprised at how delicious it was and that the bread was so soft! I don't know what seasoning they used but it was very flavorful. We're sad that we've never been here before and have been missing out all these years. We will definitely make this one of our "go to's"!

We were looking for a place for lunch and happened upon The Original Sub Cafe. We are happy we did. Service was perfect. Our server was friendly and made sure to ask all questions to make sure our order was perfect. The space is combo take out and sit down. It is clean and has highlight reviews on the ceiling. There is a giant car booth - which while kitch, it takes up a lot of space and if they are busy it can pose a problem. I had a tuna sub and an amazing cafe con leche. The tuna sub was fresh and not mayonnaisey tasting. My cafe con leche was the perfect temp and level of sugar. They offer 3 sizes of the cafe con leche and 2 sizes of the subs. I had the 8 inch and took 1/2 home. My daughter had an egg and cheese sandwich, which she loved and a can of Arizona Iced tea. My husband had a Cuban sandwich. He said it was nicely packed with meat and he ended up taking 1/2 home. We also ordered a side of fries. The pricing is very reasonable. Service was great. Food was great and we will definitely be back.

I don't know about the name, The Original Sub Café. This is definitely not a sub shop. It's more like a Cuban Cafè, but with a menu that has a nice amount of options. This is a very cool place. It's awesomely decorated. It's like a throwback late fifties early sixties diner. There is a nice amount of cool memorabilia everywhere, which includes the booths and the table tops. Although it takes up quite a bit of space, there is even a fifty-seven Chevy Belair cut away for a booth. It kind of reminds me of a restaurant in Disney, but with better quality food. Our server, she was great. She had a wonderful personality, she was friendly, really helpful and she made the experience even better. As for what we had. My daughter had an egg sandwich and a giant can of Arizona tea. "She inhaled it!" My wife ordered a café con lettche first, not only was it the largest café con lettche I have ever seen, but she said it was incredibly good! Then she got an eight inch tuna sandwich and a side of fries. Since I don't like tuna, I didn't try it, but she said it was really good. I did have some of the fries. They came out burning hot and were they good. I had a tough time deciding. It was between choosing a Cuban steak sandwich, a Media Noche, or a Cuban sandwich. I ended up going with the Cuban sandwich, which was a choice. I got the twelve inch with extra pickles. At first glance, I thought it wasn't pressed enough. Nope, it was just loaded with meat. Oh yeah, was it good. Next 6 think I'm going to try the Cuban steak sandwich. Oh, I almost forgot, no can soda, they have a soda fountain. They do have can soda available if you want one or some other soda. I'm definitely looking forward to eating here again.

Stopped here on the way home to Naples after a cruise out of Miami- what an excellent choice. Great, friendly service and food. Definitely a cute place with a 50s diner feel. The roast beef , Italian, and pork sandwich were all delicious. Give them a try!

    Stay away from this place

Everything in this place can improve. The service wasn't good. They got my order wrong. It was a very simple order of eggs over easy and they couldn't get that right. I would absolutely recommend no one go to this place. It is absolutely terrible. The wrong order cost me $24 for eggs. This is a terrible terrible place to eat.I would absolutely stay away from this place. Make sure they get your order right the first time if not, they will mess it up and charge you.

Really impressed with this place. It's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall with a few other shops nearby. This place has been around awhile- good sign! The inside of the place is beautifully updated and totally takes you back in time. I love the open kitchen concept so you can see everything being made. They have a little bit of something for everyone, no matter what you're in the mood for they've got you covered. Also the sweetest nicest people work there. Overall, amazing experience (both times I've been there) and will be returning for more yummy food!

Like the proverbial tortoise, it took three years for me to get here but I made it! I have always seen signs for this eatery while driving around the Nova Southeastern University area or sitting in line next door at Pollo. Yes today!! This was the day to inch my way there and what a wonderful surprise. The plaza they sit in and the look from afar doesn't do the food justice. They have a tranquil setting for outdoor dining, as well as a "greasy spoon" vibe inside. But, there's nothing "greasy" about their menu. In fact, as their name implies, they are well known for the best subs in the area, but I would say it goes way beyond this zealot zone of foodies. On my first try, happy to see that gyros were offered, that's what I ordered. A very pleasant and personable Osvaldo took my order. It was busy and I could tell by the number of returning customers that greeted him (with one bringing him a bottle of wine, and two ladies identifying themselves from behind their masks as "we are the Atlanta customers"), that this place was worth the wait--even getting back to the office late. Standing in line, I perused the area and immediately the red & white classic car booth came into view. Since I mentioned that I'd soon be late to the office, Ozzie quickly handed me the best gyro I've ever had--particularly because the Greek pita was the freshest and the lamb? Yum!! It was thinly sliced and flavorful. Taking the cappuccino to-go, I vowed to return soon. You'll just have to check them out for yourself.

I would recommend this as a good place to chat with a friend over a space for studying or working. Especially because I found the staff lovely and conversational. Their prices are far more reasonable than many other local coffee shops nearby which was definitely a major plus. I enjoyed the lavender latte, but would probably only get it hot in the future, and would try a different iced latte flavor. The spicy chicken empanada was delicious and I would definitely get it again. It had a nice curry sauce inside (though it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be). Today, we ordered the Iced Caramel Macchiato, Iced Cinnamon Roll Latte, Spicy Beef Empanada, and their Key lime Pie. The coffees were good, but in my opinion, their pastries and snacks tasted better and left a bigger impression on me. The coffee flavors, I felt like I can find them elsewhere but the key lime pie was nice- just sweet enough and right level of tartness. The spicy beef empanada was nice too or maybe I was just hungry. You make sure to try it and let me know if it was really good or no. They offer indoor and outdoor seating but are both limited so get there at the right time or be ready for Togo. The interior is cleanly decorated and they seem to have put in a lot of time hand writing out the special menu and seasonal items. Yes I would recommend this place to others. Yes I would definitely visit the Wild Mug Coffee Bar again.

There is a shared area where you can sit under the shade and there is a turf area where it looks like they have some things to keep children entertained for a bit so this place is also family friendly. The space is shared with another truck but I think they serve food. At Whole Latte Monkeys I was sad to see that the truck was not open on the inside, but from what I could see, the set up and decor inside the truck was very cute. I placed my order at the window, and got a Lavender iced Matcha latte with oat milk, a vanilla latte with oat milk and a Papito Chulo with oat milk. As I was ordering, I realized some of the names of the drinks are named after some of the monkeys they have shown on display in the truck which was a very cute touch. I wasn't able to read the stories of the monkeys, but I will certainly ask next time. The cashier/barista was very kind and patient while I decided what to order. I wasn't too crazy about the matcha, because I love a stronger, more astringent matcha, but the Papito Chulo was a hit and I would come back for that drink. Overall such a cute spot, great coffee and a hidden gem in this area. I'd definitely come back with friends and family to grab a drink, walk around the garden and relax.

She politely approached the truck and was told that they do not provide cups of water and that bottled water was available for purchase. When she explained she only wanted a little water to finish her drink, she was again told no and encouraged to buy a bottle instead. She politely declined and returned to her table where my kids were. As she was explaining the interaction to me and my son, an employee who had been cleaning a nearby table abruptly interrupted the conversation and said, "If you want free water, go to Starbucks." My wife was understandably surprised and said, "Excuse me?" The woman then made it very clear that she was the owner and proceeded to say things such as: "What coffee shop gives free water?" "Why do people always want everything for free?" "If you don't like our ways, you can leave and go to Starbucks." My wife calmly explained that she had not come there to argue, especially over a cup of water that had already been denied and was no longer a big deal. She also reminded the owner that we were paying customers and had not asked for anything for free. In fact, my wife had generously tipped before being treated this way. I told my wife to keep me on the phone and I seen the owner continuing to pace around my wife ranting about people wanting things for free. Another employee, who appeared to be her daughter, was heard telling her in Spanish, "Ma, ya, basta" ("Mom, enough"), but the owner continued. She then sarcastically offered my wife sink water now and remarked, "You can drink it at your own risk," but while continuing to tell her to leave and go somewhere else for free water. The entire interaction was bizarre, awkward, and honestly shocking. My wife and kids sat there completely puzzled and offended. I told my wife to leave and she did but not before telling the owner that they would gladly leave but that, as a business owner herself, she should work on her customer service before running her business into the ground over her mouth. What was most surprising was that other customers witnessed the exchange too. I heard over the phone while my wife was walking out a customer say "that's not right". My wife said the couple also got up and left too. Overall, between the overpriced coffee, lack of Wi-Fi that my wife said they told her they don't share with customers and most importantly the incredibly rude and unprofessional treatment by the owner herself, this is not a place we will be ever visiting again or recommending as locals. All that unprofessional treatment over my wife asking for a cup of water to dilute their overly sweet and overpriced drinks, what a joke.
