I don't recommend it during peek lunch hours as they get really slammed, but if you have the time (or just go when they aren't standing room only) they are 100% worth the wait. I had an 8" chicken sandwich with kimchi and pickled carrots and my taste buds couldn't have been happier. I also had the kimchi waffles. Trust me when I say they are worth the extra $2.50. The service may be a little slow, but the staff is super friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have (even if the three customers in front of you just asked the same question). I am very saddened to do this but I have no other way to reach the business owner of phillylicious in Spokane. I did an online order showed up within minutes of my order ready time. They told me they never got my order. This was at 6:30, they were not kind or apologetic at all. I gave them the order number and I got put to the end of the line. I watched everyone get their order completed and after 25 minutes of waiting I asked about my order after watching sandwiches sit on the counter for a few minutes. They noted they forgot my fries and couldn't get their shit together. Their words not mine, to which after waiting those 25 minutes I asked for a drink while I waited. The young red headed man told me I didn't pay for it and it's not his fault my order never came through. I sat back for a moment and made it clear I was not happy with the lack of customer service. I paid for something and I'm not willing to pay for cold food as he simply stated they couldn't get their shit together. I refused the food and asked for a refund to which he yelled I would have to wait 5 minutes for that refund. I tried to call the service I ordered the food through but couldn't get through so I simply called back to ask when I could call and speak to the owner. I was yelled at and told, they're trying to get a second location running and he's not available. to which he hung up on me. I called back and asked when I could reach the owner, to which he further yelled at me telling me he's acting as the manager and I couldn't have a way to speak to the owner and that he would be issuing me a refund and he would be getting back to his paying customers all before he again hung up on me. People and businesses make mistakes, what stood out to me from the beginning was that I was a burden and I was at fault that the order didn't come through that had already been paid. Yes I was angry in the end of being so flippantly disregarded and disrespected. If you can't handle the business at one location, why open a second? I used to love this place but the last 2 visits has been very disappointing and it's sad that this is the customer service that they provide. read more

One of the better cheesesteaks I've had here in Spokane. They offer a variety of meat options and almost everything is customizable to your liking. The staff is friendly and helpful through the ordering process as there are lots of options and a self service screen for ordering when you walk in. If they aren't too busy they will just take your order for you instead of fumbling through their tablet. I frequent this place monthly, but I am still looking for alternatives that could be better as it is not a show stopper type of a sandwich. The food is good though and if you have a craving it provides a great place for something different than most chain restaurants, even spicy Kbbq sandwiches. They also have fries that are quite delicious and their soda machine has some of the best mixed flavors and carbonation around. I'm from a place that has very little to offer for Cheesesteaks. Most of the time the only ones I find are "elevated" at restaurants in my area. This was the first time I had a one served to me in butcher paper, dripping with juices from the meat, perfectly caramelized onions, smothered in cheesewiz, and made in a small extremely hot kitchen. The 2 cooks working on a Friday night were sweating but moving like it was a choreographed dance. I have a lot of respect for cooks who can handle a Friday night rush and keep as cool as these dudes were. The cheesesteak was the best I've had. The menu is completely customizable which was nice. We got bowls but the sandwiches looked yummy too. He got the Korean Beef with Kim Chee and I got the Tia Peanut Chicken. My wife and I just walked here from the hospital where we are visiting family (we are from out of town/state), and thought to give this place a try. When we walked in we were greeted and the gentleman came out from around the counter and asked if we had been in before. Told him no, first time. We started using the tablets to make our order and he pointed out a couple features. The ordering was easy and user friendly. We didn't have to wait long and the sandwiches came out piping hot and well put together (unlike Subway). The flavoring, amount of sauce put on, fresh toppings and wow! That first bite just explodes in your mouth with flavor and heat from being freshly cooked. They also said bye and have a good day as we left. Very friendly and courteous employees.
