The cheesesteak was pretty average. It's a pretty heavy meal. The onion rings though, they're some of the best I've had

Paid almost $14 bucks for a cheese steak and let me tell you the meat portion is so small . Totally not satisfied. I remember when the sandwich's here were really good . I tried to give them a shot twice in the last 6 months. And both times were the same. Also I hate when the cook gets two orders and cooks the two portions of meat together and not separate. I always feel like the two portions are never equal in size when they are split after cooking. I did notice this on my order today. I have to say for price this sandwich lets me down I am still hungry

McDonald's size fries and McDonald size meal at 3x the cost.

I have Been a long time customer of Philly's Best. Closest Hogie I could get after moving from the East coast 25 years ago. Always ordered from here. But they don't care. And now removed items from their Hogie menu. I always complained pizza fries are way bigger of you done in their super small restaurant if you find a seat. Take out of pizza fries are super small compared to dine in. And now I can't even order a steak hogie because they can charge me way more for lettuce tomatoes and mayonnaise. Nope. I've been slowly ordering less from her. I will order nothing from her from now on. Sorry I hate to so see you go but you have zero customer loyalty.. you just lost a 25 year customer. .

It's been a while since I had a Philly cheesesteak. I wanted to grab something quick and easy for dinner and was in lake forest. This came up as a suggestion and after eating I'm glad I decided to give it a try. Located in a business park off lake forest next to a round table pizza joint. Getting into the parking lot is a little of a challenge because there is no direct entrance from lake forest. However the ample available parking more than makes up for this shortcoming. Inside this place has been open for quite some time so it has an old school feel if you're into to that authentic time capsule dining experience. This is a sandwich shop so there are a limited amount of seats, then menu is presented on a big board in front of you and you have a view of the grill so you ca watch the process of getting your sandwich made. As far as food I ordered the Philly's best. One the regular way with slices of cheese peppers the other with "da wiz" with the liquid cheese. I actually liked the regular one better than DA wiz. But both were delicious. If you're looking for a great hot sandwich made to order definitely check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

I used to come here a ton when I lived in the area nearly a decade ago. On my most recent visit, I was really happy to see that it hasn't changed at all and is still just as good as I remember! Fast, affordable, yummy food. My cheesesteak came out piping hot and was loaded with meat and melty cheese wrapped in a soft bun. What's not to love! The menu is small and all of the items are basically the same (give or take 1 or 2 ingredients). I think there are maybe 1 or 2 cheesesteaks that have distinctly different flavor profiles. Just read the descriptions and pick your favorite one without overthinking it and you can't go wrong.

I had the original steak Philly with grilled onions and it was really good. I don't know what I was expecting exactly but they got our order done fast which was great. My boyfriend got the Buffalo Philly cheesesteak or something like that and he did not really like it. He said they drenched his sub in the sauce and made it soggy but I think it was maybe because it was to go because my pizzza fries were the same. As I opened them to eat, they had a lot of water that evaporated. They should add holes to their to go boxes and stuff...

The worst service ever. It's completely burnt and the won't take responsibility for it

The food quality isn't like Pat's or Joe's in Fishtown in Philly, but very huge and good in its own right. I went twice got the classic philly cheese and the one with mushrooms on it with American cheese and onion rings on both occasions. I could have sworn the first time they sent beer battered onion rings which were out of this world delicious. The second time I did postmates I got those fast food onion rings like at Carls Jr. Still good, but I was expecting the beer batter ones. Anyway I majorly endorse this place for the quantity of food and how surprisingly good the sandwich was. The bread was lightly toasted and soft. I personally didn't find the photos very appetizing but the food hit the spot. Give this place a try! I just noticed this is for the Santa Ana location. I ordered from the one in Los Angeles. But it looks the same. Give it a try anyway!

The cheesesteaks that used to be full to the brim had then been stingy and the fries reeked and tasted of oil that had been reused wayy too many times. To add insult to injury, the prices had jacked up a ton. But, before hitting a road trip, we decided this would be one step above fast food so decided to give this place another shot. Huge mistake. Somehow, and at some point, someone decided that the steak that goes inside the cheeseSTEAK could be swapped with what looks, tastes, and feels like ground beef. True story. From the crumbly texture when chewing, the watery taste that could stem from what I think was a hurried attempt to semi-boil and/or thaw frozen meat, and the fact that 25% of the meat fell every time I took a bite, I'm almost certain they are using ground beef. At a minimum, it is clear they switched their meat and it is not for the better. I can only speculate that it was in response to complaints of stingy meat because they had filled our sandwiches to the brim with this meat. Unfortunately I'm going to be permanently removing this from my list of food options. This experience has even compelled me to write a review when I have not in quite some time. Wow.

We went to this casual and local spot in Laguna Hills that serves the community! Walking in, you're greeted with a bright place that is filled with people from all walks of life, just eating lunch and taking a breather from work. That's how you KNOW you've got a gem on your hands. We went on a not-so-busy weekday, but there was still a decent crowd! I got a classic, the humble BLT. The great J. Kenji Lopez-Alt is credited with the sentiment that a BLT is a tomato sandwich first, and I agree with him. The tomatoes are the star of the show, with bacon and lettuce taking a backseat both flavor and function-wise. With the pepper jack on a whole wheat baguette, I can't complain here. It's a simple, tasty sandwich that I have trouble faulting. You get what you get, and it's a great way to have a feel-good sandwich without the heavy after effects of some others. And I...I got the italian. It's your gabagool-filled sandwich that you've gotta love! That's right, there's Gabagool, Moe-tah-dehll, salaam, pepperoni, and provolone! Top that with olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, and you're in business. It's got a wonderful deli-meat texture, and the familiarity of the sandwich is just plain comforting. One bite into this thing, and it was like being transported into the past. Things were easier back then. These are the cold sandwiches, but their hot ones are also crazy! We're told they're even better! Come by and try it out for yourself. If you want the stuff that knows your belly, why not come try out Moe's Deli!?

They made my food quick and were attentive to the things I needed.
