At the recommendation of my daughter, I drove 30+ miles to try this cheesesteak spot! I ordered (3)…read moredouble double meat and cheese cheesesteaks. They were all awesome. Despite driving back for over 1 hour, the cheesesteaks were delicious. They contained lots of meat and lots of cheeses. I had them add mushrooms to my steak. It was really delicious, tender, warm, and flavorful! I would definitely eat there again.

Well, if I want a ground beef sandwich, I know where to come…read more I hadn't eaten here in around a year because the last time I did, I was disappointed with the quality and taste issues with both the cheesesteaks and the fries that accompanied the seeming change in management. The cheesesteaks that used to be full to the brim had then been stingy and the fries reeked and tasted of oil that had been reused wayy too many times. To add insult to injury, the prices had jacked up a ton. But, before hitting a road trip, we decided this would be one step above fast food so decided to give this place another shot. Huge mistake. Somehow, and at some point, someone decided that the steak that goes inside the cheeseSTEAK could be swapped with what looks, tastes, and feels like ground beef. True story. From the crumbly texture when chewing, the watery taste that could stem from what I think was a hurried attempt to semi-boil and/or thaw frozen meat, and the fact that 25% of the meat fell every time I took a bite, I'm almost certain they are using ground beef. At a minimum, it is clear they switched their meat and it is not for the better. I can only speculate that it was in response to complaints of stingy meat because they had filled our sandwiches to the brim with this meat. Unfortunately I'm going to be permanently removing this from my list of food options. This experience has even compelled me to write a review when I have not in quite some time. Wow.

I've been curious about this place for a while, as a Jersey native, and finally remembered to check…read moreit out when I was working in the area. It's got a real dive bar vibe going, right down to the regulars at the bar, as well as a small outside seating area, and a British themed side room. The guy working the register was very friendly and we had a nice conversation about Jersey food while I ordered. If you're from Jersey, the menu here skews south Jersey, but I'm hoping they eventually add north Jersey disco fries to the menu. I had an Italian sub and it was packed full of meat. Really good! Happy to support a little slice of Jersey here in CA.

Then I didn't listen to him, as I watched an Italian sub and Philly cheese steak sandwich go by! Instead I ordered a Cuban sandwich. The crab bay seasoned fries were hot crispy and delicious! They should just take the Cuban sandwich off the menu. Not enough garlicky pork, ham, Swiss cheese, etc. Everything else they served - looked and smelled amazing!!! I'll come back and get a Reuben sandwich or Italian sub!!! Btw $1.50 for a side of ranch, even after you order a sandwich & fries I'll still Give this place another chance! But the Cuban sandwich gotta go I recommend you come in and do the same!
