Oil on the driveway. Ugh…read more Called some friends to get a recommendation for a local shop. One said that Scott from Sunland was the guy. We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. I purchased four tires for my Ford Transit work van and trusted their recommendation, assuming they were providing the correct tires for the vehicle. Less than a year later, one of the tires began splitting. I took the van to another shop that was closer because I did not feel safe driving all the way back to their shop. It was at the new shop where I was informed that the tires installed on my van were not properly rated to handle the weight of the vehicle and should not have been installed in the first place. I contacted Christian Brothers to explain the situation and was told I would need to drive the van back to their shop -- despite the damaged tire -- for them to determine whether anything would be covered under warranty. While I was getting the quote elsewhere to replace all four tires, Christian Brothers called back and offered a slightly lower price if I purchased another full set through them. In the end, the difference was only about $100 compared to the other shop. A shop I had never even used before, and that was the cost with no additional warranties or discounts (like Christian Brothers was claiming to be giving me). They stated they were giving me tires at cost and not charging for labor, not true. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me some huge favor by giving me such a small discount. Their front desk employee, Eric was as "helpful" as he could be throughout the process, but overall should have pushed harder with his upper management to resolve this. They should have completely comped the price of the old tires as this was their, dangerous mistake. Now they're not only making money off of me but also causing me to lose additional money by missing work to fix a problem they caused. I'm extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially considering the original tires that they chose were improper for a work van like mine. All of this resulted in me needing to purchase two sets of tires within a single year!!! I expressed to them that being without my van would result in loss of money as it is my work vehicle. They had no concern for my time, money and no sense of urgency to resolve the situation that they caused. I had to leave my vehicle with them for more than a day the first time and again overnight the second time. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

I asked for pics and that they'd not drop the pan until I knew what they found. I showed up 3 days later to find the truck lifted and the pan off. When I told them I was taking it somewhere else, they said come back in an hr. I asked about the fluid and the mechanic said he'd put the old stuff back in. I told him to at least fill it to spec. When I came back to get it, they lied and told me he filled it to spec and told the service writer (in front of me) to "get this guy outta here." They didn't want to give me any paperwork but I requested it to see what was in writing and they said they'd filled the trans fluid to spec. I asked the other shop to let me know what they found and they confirmed my suspicions, there was only 1 quart of nasty fluid in there. There are plenty of other shops, don't go here!

We had never been there before, but I had just had new control arms and ball joints put in and since the tires were also brand new, my mechanic who did that work recommended an alignment. AZ Automasters kept the car overnight and my husband picked it up the following day. My husband stated that he asked the employees if the alignment was off and by how much, and that no one could answer his questions or seemed to "know anything about anything." But he did say that the employees working the morning he picked it up were not the same ones who were working when he dropped it off. He didn't leave feeling super confident but they said the car was done so he left and that was that. This car is kept in a garage, has not been in any accidents, hit any curbs or anything of that nature, and is well loved. I have put 8000 miles on the vehicle since the alignment. The other day we realized that the tires should probably be rotated and were horrified to notice that the outside of the passenger front tire was completely bald, the inside of the tire barely worn. We went over to where we purchased the tires as they are warranteed to 80,000 miles, but because they deemed it an "alignment issue", I had to purchase a brand new tire out of pocket. Not only did I waste $118.00 at AZ Automasters as they did not complete the alignment I paid for, I'm out an additional $145 for a new tire and still need to get the car aligned. I'll certainly be getting alignment, but it won't be at AZ Automasters. *Edit* I just had a front end alignment at a reputable shop where the employees actually care about their customers. They had to take a torch to the tie-rod jam nuts as they were totally locked up on both sides. This would NOT have had to be done had AZ Automasters done the work they were paid to do a year and a half ago. Also, this shop, who did the alignment using lasers, was able to show us via computer what they adjusted and how much, which AZ Automasters could not do for us. And this new place was cheaper! Lesson learned to shop around!

Service was a in house rebuild on a 2006 F150 transmission. Mike takes care of the rebuilds and his expertise shows. Oh I guess now is a good time to mention that this vehicle has 439,000 plus miles on it. And the transmission had never been touched as far as repairs, just fluid and filter changes when I remembered they were due. They stand behind the work and do understand the customers needs. Had a slight issue after picking the truck up that was promptly addressed even though it was actually not related to the rebuild. My shift cable was so old that it would not retain adjustment. It was 20 years old at least. Mike found the issue and actually walked me out so I could see what was happening. Part was ordered, wrong part was shipped over to there shop twice due to it not matching the vin number. When they found the part number after removal. Nadira actually ran and picked it up to help expedite the repair. Mike took care of the labor to install and I just paid for the cable. They didn't have to do this, this was above and beyond since this was not related to the actual work preformed or quoted. Transmission has about 350 miles on it now and wow its working way better than I could have dreamed of shifts are on point and smoother than I would have ever dreamed off. Told me to come in to check it out and Mike went out to diagnose the issue and he advised it's not a trans issue, but an electrical issue based on the codes that were coming up. He suggested I find a place specializing in electrical. They didn't try to nickel and dime me and charge an inspection fee. For a Saturday they were pretty busy and the parking lot was full. Based on this one experience, will plan to bring our vehicles here when the need arises and will update the review accordingly. Thanks Mike...
