They have a snazzy app that allows you to easily order your drink and pick it up once it's ready. Their drip process is truly amazing and each time I go, I'm in awe of how good their coffee is. Philz Coffee in San Francisco is a classic. It's a place to be seen and it's a coffee to drink. What is unique about it is each cup of coffee is made for the individual so the white time is a little longer. But the coffee you get is so much different than what you normally get. It's more about the true experience of coffee drinking as opposed to just having coffee because it's your morning routine. Filzen Marin does not disappoint. Thank you Philz for coming to Marin! I used to work in Palo Alto where there was a Philz literally a few blocks away from my job. Actually it feels like down the Peninsula you can find a Philz everywhere which is a blessing! When I moved to Marin I may have shed a tear or actually many tears because there wasn't a Philz nearby and I missed my Mint Mojito coffee. *sigh* Well years later other amazing coffee shops opened in Marin and I was ok, or at least I thought I was. I saw on my friend's Insta that she was grabbing a Philz coffee in Marin. STOP THE PRESSES!!! I immediately messaged her and asked where is the Philz???? She said CM and that it had just opened. After I picked up my jaw off the floor, and did the happy dance I booked it over to Corte Madera to grab me some Philz coffee. Do you hear the angels singing??!! Literally when I walked in the door all my happy memories came flooding back and the happy coffee smells filled my nostrils. Now Philz has a different method of doing things which is actually super cool, and they make sure that your drink is exactly how you like it. Customer service at Philz coffee locations is always amazing. It does take longer because they literally brew each cup at that moment, but it's worth it. The baristas add all the extras as they make the coffee so make sure you tell them that you want it sweet, spicy, milk, or half and half. They have food and treats too that look amazing. Love this Philz location!! The staff are always really friendly and the app is pretty accurate with estimating timing. I always order on the app and my coffee is usually ready in 10-15 mins. Indoor seating is open now and everyone seems very responsible with mask wearing. My go-to order right now is the iced tantalizing turkish dark blend with medium cream, medium sugar. I was so excited to find out that a new Philz had opened up in Corte Madera. I was upset when the Sausalito Philz closed after getting myself hooked on their coffee so I'm so happy I no longer need an excuse to go to San Francisco to get myself some Philz. The coffee, as expected, is incredible and there's such a vast array of choices. My personal favorite is the iced mocha tesora which satisfies my sweet tooth and caffeine addiction perfectly, but I also know the mint mojito is a popular choice. The customer service is also incredible. The staff always asks you to try your drink before taking it, and is willing to accommodate any requests you have. The space is bright and open. It's a bit different from other Philz in the city as it's a bit lighter and more modern, but there's plenty of space to set up your laptop or just to chat with a friend. There's a few couches and comfy chairs and there's a couple big communal tables with plenty of outlets for each seat. The atmosphere is great and I can't wait to come back. read more

I had such high hopes for this place but so far it's been disappointing. The ordering system is quite confusing and your options seem limited. The price for a small black coffee is $3.50, plus tax and takes about 4-minutes to make once you've ordered. They don't offer cappuccinos, espresso or a Gibraltar. I realize that's their way of doing things but sometimes all you want is just an espresso. The first coffee I ordered at the advice of a someone behind the counter was the Philharmonic. The employee failed to inform me that this particular coffee blend is infused with mint (look for anything with a green icon next to the title). It was the single worst cup of coffee I've ever had in my life. It tasted like someone left their toothbrush in the coffee overnight. Horrible and a total waste of money. Who puts mint in coffee? The people working there that I've encountered so far come off as condensing when asked questions. Not a very pleasant exchange of communication when you're new to their brand and would like to know more. It's as if you don't get it right away or already know their lingo, you're not worth their time. Also, they have a single vegan bakery item (with a few different flavors), a donut priced at $3.25. That's pretty high for a small item like that. They need more vegan and gluten-free items if they want to make it in Corte Madera where those are highly requested items. I've tried them 4 times now thinking the problems were just because they're new but I think their problems seem deeper than that. read more

This is a great place, much needed coffee in Marin although you can tell this location does not resemble other more urban, quirky, locations... very Marin-eque : / The wifi is a bit slow (anywhere from 2-5 mbps when busy which this place always is), also it is rather chilly on the couch since the vent is right above but other than that no complaints. Ignore all reviews that gave this place a low rating because of their in ability to understand the menu. Ordering an espresso drink here is the equivalent of ordering a Bud Light at Toronado. My only complaint is that the vents are super cold by the couch and there is way too much sunlight at the main table during the morning. read more

I was very sad when Philz Coffee closed in Sausalito because I loved going there. It was such a nice community spot. However, I am really excited that Philz Coffee opened in Corte Madera mall. By my work they have a $0 delivery fee on DoorDash so I was sold! This was the first time I have ever had their coffee and I really enjoyed it. I want to warn you though if you are ordering for delivery check your food because my sandwich was rock hard on one side so that was a bummer but I just tossed that slice of bread and ate the rest and it was totally fine. I am a fan of the different coffees served. There is one woman who typically works the cash register. I cannot remember her name, but she always remembers me and she always gives me my veteran discount. I gladly give that back to her for her tip. Younger baristas (not all) need just a bit of friendliness when they serve. If someone's waiting, a polite thing to say is "I'll be right with you in a moment" is better than ignoring and not saying anything. Great experience overall. read more
