I love the concept! A game changer for moms who can't park and get out of the car if they have a sleeping kid in the back seat. But the latte was weak. If the standard coffee isn't on point, I can't give them more than 3 stars. Also it bugs me that they call a 12 Oz a petite. I'm glad I didn't order a larger size. read more

I didn't see it on the menu but they have oat milk so I got an iced oat milk latte (16 oz $5.10). I don't know how to describe it but it tastes different than other coffee. Almost like it's sweet but it's not? Honestly it's growing on me but not the best one iced had. They made it incredibly fast which is a big plus. read more

Caffino is a decent alternative to starbucks. The main pros are that it's a quick drive through with no line, close proximity to home and work, and quick service. Cons: not many customization options, not considerably better than starbucks, expensive specialty drinks I ordered the iced vanilla and iced black and white mocha. Overall, the drinks were a little sweet to me but decent flavor otherwise. I would give this place a 3.5 star! Nothing extraordinary but definitely not bad coffee at all. read more

I am all about supporting small business! Caffino is my only go to for drinks (hot & cold), gift cards and an occasional snack. The owner is very sweet and personable. The menu is pretty extensive and if you feel like something that's off the menu, the owner will accommodate all drink requests. read more

I'm not a huge coffee drinker and I'm not a big fan of the chain shops. This place is a godsend to someone like me who isn't the biggest morning person. Luckily, it's right by my office and it's a quick pit stop in the morning. The ladies that work here are incredibly nice and always in a good mood. Love little places like this. read more

My friend and I are 25 now and we've been coming here since we were teenagers. We used to go to Rasputin when it was behind Caffino, good times! And now my husband comes here and so does my little sister. It was rad then and it's still a good place. My favorite drink is the Andies Mint Fresco, but I've gotten almost everything on the menu. Im pretty sure it's the reason I've never really been to Starbucks and probably why I really don't like it. read more

How have I lived in Mountain View for 6 years and never tried this place? This is one of the best coffee drive thru places I've ever been to: - No long wait lines - Friendly staff - Fast service - Good selection of items in the menu - Yummy coffee I got the white chocolate mocha which was wonderful. Can't wait to go back to try one of their cold drinks. read more

Was craving a coffee type drink and was in the area so I stopped by for a white mocha fresco. The younger guy working was very friendly and had a smile on his face the entire time. The drink was very good and I was surprised at how big it was, but the price I suppose should have given it away. Drink was Def better than a white mocha frap. read more

Came by for a mocha the other day and it was mediocre. Caffino is a drive-thru Espresso bar with windows on both sides. As there was a car in front of me, the employee came out to take my order. The mocha came out lukewarm...a tad too cold...and it was slightly sweet...even after requesting for 1/2 the sweetness. Their "petit" drink (smaller than a small) was the same size as my Small at Peet's! Service was friendly but the drink was merely mediocre... read more

I remember seeing an early Caffino built in Davis years ago. Never went. This has been near my work and residence for years and i never went. Short on time to an appointment i drove through. Chai latte on the move. Flavor seemed a bit on the weak side. Was nice and hot though and it was fast. I think the ratio of milk maybe a bit high. The one guy was slammed with four cars while i was there so it seems they get their share of business. They should take the Dutch Bros stance and have a tandem.. read more

I was so disappointed. The one in Santa Clara is consistently great. But here, I got served a latte that didn't taste like it had any coffee in it and the coconut milk had gone bad. I was too far away by the time I realized, so maybe they would have fixed it. If your drink is too hot, I'd pull over and wait for it to cool to make sure it's good. read more

convenient little drive thru coffee/tea stand in the middle of clarkwood shopping center. the drive thru part is really small, since you can only have one car on each side. i do appreciate that they have a walk-up window so i can just walk over (or park further away and walk over) and place my order. i had wanted to get a small tea, but was told that a cup of tea is $3, regardless of size (S/M/L). since a large was too much for me, i passed altogether, since i felt $3 was too much for a small cup of tea. maybe i'll come back when i need a large cup of tea. i instead ordered a blueberry scone ($2) which was big, compared to scones at other places. while the center was filled with lots of blueberries, the scone itself was rather dry and crumbly. since the staff member gave it to me in a bag (that was sitting on a shelf with all of the other pastries), i was left wondering how long those scones were sitting in the bag. usually, most coffee shoppes keep their baked goods in a display case, which allows the pastries to stay fresh longer. convenient coffee shoppe, considering it is the only one in clarkwood shopping center, and very close to where i live, but i am not impressed with the offerings here. i would rather walk or drive further to another coffee shoppe. read more

I've never been to a Caffino and was excited when I pulled into here a few minutes ago . 5:55pm exactly . And the lighted sign said open. Drove up to the window and there was a closed sign taped on the window and a blonde gal inside looked straight at my friend and I said nothing .. and turned off the lighted open sign ! It wasn't closing time . and she was just so blatantly rude about it. so for a first impression it was the absolute wrong experience . Not sure if I will ever attempt to try this again. Get better employees. According to yelp the open hours said it was open until 7pm . But even if that was wrong it was 5:55 not 6 . She should have could have helped us before closing . Bad customer service or well zero customer service in this case . Drove two blocks down the street and got Starbucks instead read more

I love this coffee shop, though I wish they had the York Peppermint Mocha like the one in Santa Clara (Sunnyvale?) has! I know they only do certain special drinks at certain locations, but this one's the closest to home. A bit pricey, but altogether I love the drinks and service. read more

I had my worst ever coffee shop experience at Caffino Mountain View yesterday around 1:30 pm. I ordered a small almond milk matcha green tea latte. A few minutes later, I went to take a sip and noticed it wasn't green and tasted like just hot almond milk. I go back to Caffino, and the guy ensures me he put matcha in it. Then, he says he only put 1/2 tsp (in 16 oz of almond milk?) because the matcha was all gone. 1/2 tsp of anything in 16 oz of liquid is insufficient. He should've just said he was out of matcha instead of serving such a crappy drink (for $5!). 'He' gets frustrated, and leaves me and my friend in our car without resolving the issue. He just turned away and went to the other side to deal with another car. No refund. No alternate beverage. No customer service. I'll stick with Peet's. They know how to treat their customers and don't skimp on product. read more

Darn, I was hoping to be first to review, but I see I've been beaten by over a year. Caffino looked promising what with it's small-ish menu and low-fat options. It seemed like they made only a couple of drinks and would know how to make it well. My boyfriend and I ordered the raspberry white chocolate mocha and mango tango fresco smoothie. Raspberry white chocolate - Although this didn't taste like low fat per se, it tasted fake... like no raspberries were harmed in the making of this drink. I drank about a 4th of it and handed it off to the boy. Mango tango - This was supposed to taste like mango and banana, but it tasted more like really really ripe mango, and not in a good way. It wasn't bad really, just too sweet. Surprisingly, drinking both at the same time produced a pleasant flavor. The 2 drinks together were slightly more than $6. As much as I like the concept of drive-thru coffee, I will probably not be back. read more

This is a usual stop for me and my boss on our lunch walks. The staff is super friendly especially the sweet young lady with strawberry blonde hair. She always has a smile on her face and is not artificial when she says "Have a great day!" This place is very convenient for walkers or drivers. I like their soy drinks although I still prefer Starbucks over this place when it comes to flavors. I'll be back....I'm always here anyways! ;) read more

I starting coming to caffino my senior year of high school since it was On my way to school, and I still come till since day, I've been coming here for 5 years and the ladies ARE always super friendly! I've never had a bad experience here and the prices are so cheap! They recently raised the prices after coming here for almost 5 years in a row and it's about time because it's so worth it! I always order a small Carmel Fresco with no whip cream and a size small is basically a size medium ! I 1000% recommend anyone coming here read more

I have to have my coffee in the morning, so I either brew my own or stop by the local coffee shop to pick up a cup. I treasure my sleep, so most mornings I'm rushing to get to work. That means, I'm brewing my own coffee. But I like the idea of drive-thru coffee places. The sizes are larger than what most places have to offer, and the employees are friendly. Caffino is a wonderful concept if you're in a rush and want to get that espresso fix. Otherwise, the coffee's mediocre...and, it is out of my way if I'm on my way to work. read more

I live in Santa Clara but work in Mountain View. I decided to stop by one day and order my usual drink which is the regular non-flavored cafe fresco. This is usually plain coffee-flavored base they use for all the other drinks like the caramel, mocha...you get the picture. I drove away before I could complain to the girl who was working at the time which was not what I call friendly at all. This is what I don't understand with people. If you hate your job, quit! It's not MY fault you work at the kiosk coffee drive thru!! I doubt this is your career goal and it would be better for the general public as a whole to not be involved in customer service. I could go on, but this is only part of my reason for this review. My PLAIN cafe fresco tasted like hazelnut. Blegh!!! I was so disappointed that I wasted my 3 bucks because it was so awful and couldn't finish it. This is where the coined phrase "my bad" applies to me. My idiotic self decided another day was good to go back to this same kiosk and order another fresco. I thought maybe the first time they had made a mistake and gave it another shot. That's just me feeling easy-going that day. Well guess who's bright idea was not so bright? It AGAIN tasted like hazelnut and this time I managed to ask the girl what is wrong with the fresco? (This was a different girl if you're wondering...she was nicer but not by much) She told me that it was the same base they've always used blah, blah, blah. I gave it back to her and got my money back. Bad service plus bad coffee equals no more business from this customer. I will go out of my way for my favorite neighborhood Caffino in Santa Clara. I used to go here pretty regularly but the raise in price has made it significantly more costly to get my coffee there. I will say that the person they have on staff is absolutely superb. She is on top of it and obviously great and devoted to her job. The coffee itself is pretty good but Caffino's has to work on lowering the sugar content. It's very convenient because it is drive thru, wish there were more establishments like these. I will say that I used to love it here but only giving 3 stars because it's practically unaffordable unless you are very pressed for time. read more

Amazing service with good and fast coffee. I got white chocolate mocha and got some hot cocoa for kids. Staff was very nice and friendly. They attended to all my requests politely and offered a great customer experience. Will surely recommend and stop by again. Pricing is standard and close to Starbucks. read more

The Dubai chocolate cheesecake is pretty good and my favorite cheesecake. It has a crunchy base, not your normal graham cracker. They heat up the savory pastries for you. I like coffee and going to coffee shops so I would recommend trying this place out if you haven't been.

Lowering my rating because the service was subpar, and the Ube flavor was nonexistent in the Ube Black Sesame cookie. The Gingersnapperdoodle was still yummy like before, but had a more sandy texture than last time.

I've never been to a Caffino and was excited when I pulled into here a few minutes ago . 5:55pm technically . And the lighted sign said open. Drove up to the window and there was closed sign on the window and a blonde gal inside looked straight as my friend and I .. and turned off the lighted open sign ! It wasn't closing time and she was just so blatant about it so for a first impression it was the absolute wrong experience . Not sure if I will ever attempt to try this again. I love this little shop! It a fast small coffee shop but its drive thru. I go to work at 6 am n there is .ever a huge rush or line. The service is fast and the coffee is soooo Yummy. Service is always fast and friendly. All the baristas pay attention to detail. My favorite drinks are the oreo cookie fresco and iced vanilla latte and if im feeling like having something else besides coffee, i get the mango iced tea. Awesome place! read more
