I came back to try their ca phe phin and pho burrito! The ca phe phin was super sweet and creamy. The coffee flavor was strong and fragrant, which paired perfectly with the condensed milk. It was not watered down at all compared to the other Vietnamese coffee spots I've tried in the area. The pho burrito was interesting. The noodles didn't hold together very well so the burrito kind of fell apart as I tried to eat it. I thought the broth was delicious and comforting, but I did not try to dip the burrito in it because I felt that the entire thing would just disintegrate! Sadly, like I experienced with their chicken banh mi, the beef in the burrito was extremely dry (maybe this is what the broth is for). Most of the flavor in the burrito came with the heaping amounts of hoisin sauce. I love hoisin sauce but the burrito ended up being quite sweet. I should have asked for some sriracha! I'd love to come back for their coffee again. I'd recommend their burrito to adventurous eaters who do not mind a mess. read more

Best Vietnamese coffee! I always stop by Phin when I'm in the area. The Ca Phe Phin has the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. I get the large size because the small is too tiny for me. I would prefer for the drink to be less foamy because with the ice and foam, there's less coffee in the cup. read more

We loved Phin Coffee House! Cute space with nice staff. What a creative menu too- the absolute star of the show was the coco water espresso. Sweet, coconut flavor mixed with a smooth espresso- went down easy and hit the spot, 10/10! We also ordered the pho burrito, which was beautiful and came with a little cup of pho broth. I think it was maybe an 8/10- I would have loved a crunch layer in there. The noodles were a bit soggy inside the burrito, but I had no complaints other than that. Definitely solid and would order again. read more

Stumbled across this coffee shop because my boyfriend was craving a Vietnamese iced coffee, and I was blown away by their Ca Phe Phin! I typically don't like drinking coffee, but this drink was so delicious! It was creamy, velvety, and had the perfect amount of sweetness without overpowering the coffee flavor. My boyfriend also thought it was one of the best Vietnamese iced coffees he's ever had! This place also has a bright and modern interior with a good amount of seating. Boston Cream Pie + Coffee = a combo that I never knew I needed. This combo was perfectly sweet but not overwhelmingly so. It gave me the perfect kick I needed to wake up in the morning. Service was quick and the interior was clean and cute! Definitely coming back before I leave Boston! read more

Love this spot for delicious coffee. I'm more into the sweeter side of things, and they have options that will surely do the trick. I love both the Ca Phe Phin and Boston Cream Latte, with the Boston Cream one being slightly sweeter. I recently tried the Coconut Coffee and it's AMAZING. Instead of ice they use some kind of coconut sorbet of some sort that makes it cold- perf for the warmer weather coming up!! I've gotten the Pho Burrito a few times and have enjoyed it each time! It's still very authentic, so it's worth trying for sure. Dip the burrito in the small bowl of broth they give you and it'll make it 10x better. I still prefer my pho bowl, but this is fun and something Boston needed. Super cute and trendy It's quite spacious where there are seats by the windows and also smaller seats that can hold two people each. There's wifi as well, so it's a great spot to get some work done! I go here any chance I get or when I'm craving the coffee. I'll def have to try a banh mi some time! read more

I honestly can't get enough of this coffee. I find myself driving here in the morning on a whim. I tend to stick with the Ca Phe Phin, but like to branch out with the coconut coffee or mocha. The coffee is bold and perfectly sweetened. This is the closest I've tasted to the bold coffee I had in Da Lat during my travels. I have not tried the food yet, but the coffee is amongst my favorite in Boston. When it comes to getting the Vietnamese iced coffee experience, this is my go-to spot. Love it! If you love Viet coffee you need to come to Phin! It's just a walk away from South Station so it's super convenient. I'm honestly a regular here and I love how they took the time to remember my name! It makes it more personable and starts off my day in a good mood My go-to's are usually the Coconut Coffee or Ca Phe Phin (which is the traditional Vietnamese coffee). The coconut coffee hits my sweet tooth cravings because the blend of ice cream, coconut milk and the strong, espresso shot on top, tastes like a sweeter Vietnamese coffee with a hint of coconut so so yummy! The coconut flavor doesn't taste fake at all which is why I love it. Super spacious cafe with seating to do work as well. The vibe is very clean and it also has quick bites and banh mis that I haven't tried yet. Definitely check out and support this local Vietnamese cafe you won't be disappointed! read more

I have been to Phin Coffee House twice now and I am sold! It will surely be one of my go-to destination for coffee. Phin Coffee House is located on 10 High Street in Boston. It is the same exit to get to the Chinatown gate that is if you are traveling from north of Boston. There isn't street parking on High Street so you will have to either find parking toward the Chinatown side of town or circle streets just before the Downtown crossing area to find parking. There are plenty of seating! The window seating with the wide windows let in plenty of natural lighting. No need for the Edison lighting directly above though they are aesthetically pleasing. The wall shelves are decorated with jars of coffee beans and books/encyclopedias about coffee. There are several table seatings further inside. The high ceilings have crown molding which gives it a very high-end look. During my first visit, my family went on a weekend afternoon about half an hour before closing and the placed was packed and there was still people coming in after us. We ordered three drinks, shrimp rolls, pho burrito, and a chocolate cupcake. Of the three drinks we tried, my favorite drink was the coconut coffee. The coconut coffee was perfectly sweetened with vanilla ice cream and had a good balance of coconut as well as roasted coffee flavor. The cafe phin was my husband's favorite with the condensed milk. The matcha float was too sweet and not enough matcha in my opinion. I tried both the shrimp spring roll and the pho burrito. You may think that the shrimp spring roll is on the pricey side but it is worth it in terms of quality. Also, the peanut dipping sauce is done just right. The pho burrito was pleasantly good however the side pho broth was a but cold and a bit bland. I would try the pho burrito at least once. I would skip the chocolate cupcake as it was dense and a tad bit dry. You can also order takeout using the Grubhub app but with third party prices. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare your order if you order through the app. I did this during my second visit since I didn't want to dine in and just wanted two coffee to-go. There was no line when I walked in Sunday around noon time and as soon I went up to the counter, the person behind the counter asked if I was picking up and she worked on my order immediately. I was five minutes early and waited another 5 and my two drink orders were ready. read more

Second visit, but first review. My partner and I ordered the pho burrito, tofu banh mi, oatmeal raisin cookie, and ca phe phin - TASTE: 5/5 - really enjoyed all of the flavors! The pho broth itself was satisfying, and I'm very picky when it comes to banh mi's and always comparing them to my favorite, but this one was solid with lots of pickled carrots and daikon. Both the cookie and ca phe phin were perfect to end the meal TEXTURE: 4/5 - my partner liked dipping the burrito into the pho often, and I appreciated that the baguette in the banh mi was wrapped in paper and wasn't excessively flaky, so twas much easier to eat PRICE: 5/5 - was honestly expecting for the total to be a lot more. Stopped here for a quick bite. I got the pho burrito. Interesting take on a well-known dish. It's like a deconstructed pho in a burrito, but there's broth on the side as well. Not sure how you're supposed to eat it (whether you're supposed to dip the burrito in the broth or drink the broth by itself), but the flavors were all there, and it was delightful. Nice lunch and coffee spot. My husband and I stopped here for a late lunch after seeing the good reviews and were not disappointed. We ordered both of their specialty coconut coffees. They were both a bit on the sweeter side but not overwhelmingly sweet. We also ordered the beef bao and the Banh MI BBQ pork. The Bahn mi was our favorite by a landslide. It was wonderful. The staff was all friendly and hard at work. The seating was a bit all packed together, but that's how everywhere in the area is. If you're looking for a good coffee and an even better Vietnamese lunch, I'd recommend coming here. read more

I came here on a weekday afternoon. Small and quiet coffee shop. I ordered the pho burrito, spring rolls, and the Ca Phe Phin which is their Viet iced coffee. The pho burrito wasn't anything amazing and the broth was mid. The spring rolls weren't too bad. I wouldn't order the burrito nor the spring rolls if I were to come back. However, if I am in the area again, I'd definitely try different drinks on their menu. Their Ca Phe Phin was hella good!! read more

WOW this new cafe was such an amazing find,ty to facebook ads hahah. Their spring rolls were so fresh and tasty and springy, the perfect appetizer for the main start of the show... the pho burrito!!! Such a unique concept, the perfect size, and so tasty dipped in the broth and combined with the sauces for such an umami flavor bomb. And haha dipping the burrito into the peanut sauce was also SO delicious. My friend also got the matcha float too and it was SO YUMMY. Most importantly though, the staff are soso nice and friendly and I definitely recommend coming out to show your support for their grand opening!!! Super accessible by the red line :D read more

Phin Coffee House is a very unique place. When you walk in it very much looks like most modern coffee shops but the food menu is a lot different than you may expect. The cortado what both well made & quickly made. The food looked out of this world & not at all what you might expect from a coffee shop. As a Vietnamese guy growing up in California and having been to Texas and literally born in Vietnam, I've gotten to have pretty fucking good Viet food before. I obviously came here thinking this would be scuffed, Americanized blasphemy but honestly was pleasantly surprised. The coconut coffee had the iconic delightful taste of Viet coffee with a hint of coconut and the pho burrito had the same nostalgic flavors of a solid pho bowl, just in Burrito form. It was a pretty Instagramable way to eat very solid Viet food. Way to go guys. read more

We are visiting Boston, and picked this up as a quick lunch on the way to go be tourists. We ordered at the counter, and service was very quick and friendly. The food came out within ten minutes or so. The spring rolls were good and fresh, we got one pork and one shrimp. I definitely preferred the pork as I felt it had more flavor. The pho burrito is an interesting concept. While it was a little difficult to dip the burrito in the broth without losing some of it, it tasted great, and like you'd imagine, really. The ca phe phin (basically vietnamese iced coffee) was good, though too heavy on the ice. I felt like I was done with it wayyyy too fast and wish there was more liquid, but maybe that's just the way it is. If you're in the area and need a quick bite, or a place to chill for awhile, definitely try this unique place out. There's something to like for everyone :) read more

I love Vietnamese coffee and Phin was very close to my office! I got the Boston Cream latte, which is Vietnamese coffee and your choice of milk over ice. It was sweet and smooth and I'm lactose intolerant, so I appreciate being able to choose a non-dairy milk. I didn't stay and sit but it looks like a lot of folks were working from Phin. Located on 10 High Street in the Financial and downtown area is a beautiful, charming, bright, modern coffee shop with a wide variety of Asian fusion dishes to choose from. We ordered the pho burrito which is a deconstructed pho noodle broth sandwich with the broth as a dip. Fantastic and delicious. We also ordered the pork bao which was not too bad, it came with 2 per order. Lastly, we ordered the shrimp spring roll. The spring roll was probably my least favorite as it was small and not much inside. No flavor either. For drinks we had the coconut coffee, which was perfect and not too sweet. The mango smoothie was refreshing for the summer, thick and creamy but the taste of mango shined through. read more

Today was my second visit.... first time I ordered the Chicken Banh Mi and it was love at first bite. They used Rotisserie style chicken, fresh veggies squished between the best Flat bread. Today I decided to try the tofu version to be different and it did not disappoint! Both versions of the sandwich are only $9.75. For Boston and the quality, you really can't beat it! I had high hopes for the pho burrito based on photos but was hugely disappointed. Got the burrito ($10.50 + tax) to-go and there was very very very little beef -- it was 99.9% fat. It was also MUCH smaller than I expected, cut in half each piece was probably around the width of my four fingers. The other unfortunate thing was that it was dripping with oil, literally drenched my fingers and napkins and the inside of the takeout container. Very messy and difficult to eat, I don't know what cut of meat they used but again there was barely any meat inside so that would explain the grease. Flavor of the pho broth was also muted and somewhat bland. I became suspicious about the quality of the broth and it may have had oil floating on top. I would much rather eat a normal bowl of pho. They were nice enough to reimburse me but I hope they can improve on the way they serve this. read more

I got the mango smoothie. It was delicious, not too sweet and tasted like real mango. They also offered oat milk in the smoothie which can be hard to find, so I appreciate that. I also tried the Vietnamese iced coffee which is so so good. Really intense coffee flavor, nice amount of sweetness and hints of vanilla. The ambiance was nice and chill, with lots of people studying and some families. The decor is super cute and the inside is bright with natural light. Definitely a place you can hang out for a bit. read more

Busy coffee shop near south station! I went at 10ish on a weekday and it snagged the last seat. There isn't much seating, maybe 6-7 double tables and a couple high table seats. If you're looking for a cafe to work at this might be a hit or miss depending on what time you go. It cleared up around 11pm but you can tell this is a favorite coffee shop in the area. I got a hot large latte and it was good! It was smooth, creamy and not too bitter. I feel like I can't judge much based on this single drink but I would definitely get it again and it was a solid latte. The customer service was great! The barista brought the latte to me even though I was just about to get up to get my drink. They seem like really nice people and a team that cared for their customers. I initially heard of this place because they catered for the AAPI 5K run in Boston and I had their iced Ca Phe Phin and it was so good!! From what I remember, it was one of the smoothest Viet iced coffee I've had and was borderline dangerous. I had to come in person to try other things. They seem to have interesting coffee items and food. I'll have to come back and try other things out! read more

I ordered the Pho Burrito which is a burrito with braised beef, rice noodle, bean sprouts, basil leaves, cilantro, hoisin and sriracha sauce served with PHO broth. The meat was tender and juicy. The broth was perfect for dipping the burrito into and slurping up on a cold day in Boston! Speaking of cold, I ordered the Ca Phe Phin, which is a Vietnamese style iced coffee using condensed milk. It was delicious, but I would prefer less ice next time. The service was very friendly and prompt. The inside was modern, sleek, and clean. They had a steady flow of patrons and many sounded like they were regulars which is a great sign. read more

I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna!
