I've been excited to try this coffee shop since it opened because I love that they highlight matcha, which has been one of my favorite things to drink since I was in high school. Although to be honest, I didn't get a matcha this time, I had to try the Mazapan latte and it did not disappoint. It was sweet and creamy and decadent, as I expected it to be. I loved the chunks of peanut I'd suck up through the straw, very satisfying. Walking in, I wasn't too impressed with the ambiance, it feels a little too cluttered but also really bare. I liked the little corner with games, letting you know you're allowed to linger with your drink and friends. The people working were friendly. I didn't have much interaction, as I just ordered and immediately sat to wait for my drink. The menu is extensive and honestly, that made me wary but I would absolutely come back in and try some other stuff, as I did absolutely enjoy my large iced Mazapan latte. read more

Ordered black sesame latte, matcha latte & a spam musubi. First of all, I came in with good energy and greeted them but I got nothing but blank faces. No joke lmao. They advertise using ceremonial matcha but their matcha tasted so much like culinary! I feel very deceived. The black sesame latte had some kind of vanilla/vanilla bean syrup in the bottom that was unbearable. The coffee itself tasted like instant coffee, also very watered down. The black sesame foam was okay though. The whole drink itself was just thrown straight up in the trash.. Spam musubi was good, just pretty difficult to eat. They heat it up then put it in a small paper to go box, so naturally it just got stuck to the box and they offered no utensils.. I heard so many good things about this place and everyone in the reviews raving about them so I had to try! But I can't see myself going back here. Total waste of time. read more

KOHI coffee and matcha has such a vast menu, there is definitely a flavor combination for everyone. I love almost all coffee/matcha, but this time I got their Black Sesame Matcha! I would say that their matcha is definitely on the sweeter side, but it is smooth and non-bitter. I came during my lunch break, and total it took about 15minutes for me to get my one drink. Next time, I'll have to come on a day that I'm off since it does seem to get busy with pick-up/delivery orders and take a little while for the drinks to come out. read more

I discovered kohi about a few months ago and it is now one of my go to staple coffee shops!! They have matcha, coffee and a few pastries! It's a small shop but they do have a few tables for seating. As someone who loves the Decatur location, this was a disappointing experience. There was no line when I walked in. I waited 25 minutes for my drinks after ordering. I understand being busy but this was a little much. The two girls working just seemed to lack urgency or care. When my drinks came up, the presentation was not the same as the other location. No little cookie on the shaken cookie dough espresso - and maybe this isn't standard at this location or maybe the Decatur location just goes the extra mile. I'm glad this wasn't my first experience with Kohi because the drinks really are delicious. I got a banana matcha... omg they put real banana in it! Love Starbucks, but having the real thing changes everything. They make the matcha right behind the counter where you can see it. Kohi is a hidden gem! I love their matcha! I usually get their tres leches matcha/ latte or a cocoa puff matcha there is many more to try but I'm so stuck on those two. KOHI makes excellent drinks! You'll find them in Henderson on Sunset and Green Valley, near La Bonita Supermarket. There's ample parking. Soft opening was on February 2, 2026. Inside is clean, cozy, and inviting, has a few seating with board games, and awesome music playing a genre blend of Afrobeats, Pop, and Country. I was listening to Tyla singing "Chanel," followed by KATSEYE "Gabriela," Eloise "It All Goes," and Shaboozey "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," these are all fantastic songs and bring good vibes! Menu offers a nice selection of signature lattes and various matcha flavors, light bites, and pastries. They have dairy-free alternatives for oat, coconut, almond, and soy milk. I had Blueberry Matcha (16 oz, $8) and requested coconut milk (+$0.60) with no agave syrup, flavor is unique and pleasant! Unsweetened matcha pairs nicely with sweetened blueberries, and so good! The drink complements well with savory bites like Sausage Egg Cheese Muffin ($6) which is tasty! Only thing needed is to ask for extra time to warm up the muffin and sausage patty so it's toasty and piping hot, which makes it even better. Also tried Hot Mazapan (12 oz, $7) with coconut milk (+$0.60) and opted for no condensed milk, so yummy! It's a peanut drink that is rich and strong, is sprinkled with crumbled mazapan as a lovely topping and gives a nice contrast, it's really good! The Rocky Road Brownie ($5) is amazingly delicious, I love it! This is an excellent treat that is super moist, fudgy, not too sweet, and incredibly delightful! I highly recommend the chocolate brownie with Hot Mazapan, it's a wonderful pairing! The Chocolate Croissant ($7) is good too, was warmed up, has a crispy exterior with chocolate filling. Service from Alexa, owner Yenne, and Shaun is so kind, welcoming, attentive, courteous, and friendly! I had several questions and asked which drink is less sweet. Alexa is knowledgeable, patient, and very polite in responding, she even mentioned they can adjust the sweetness, and that is great! read more

I was out running errands & Googled "matcha near me." This place popped up & I got so excited because I love trying new cafes & matcha lattes! I'm pretty sure this spot is new, as I hadn't heard of it. Now I don't typically show up someplace new without first reviewing the menu. Doing so got me so made me excited for my visit because they have unique matcha options, such as tres leches & mango cream. I drink a lot of matcha & haven't seen these versions anywhere else. They also have fun coffee lattes, like the Teddy Graham latte! This spot's located in a plaza with a plethora of parking, so I was able to conveniently park right in front. I found the interior inviting, because the setup encourages people to sit down, stay a while & interact. There's also a vending machine, mini claw machines for the kids, a variety of board games, & a game all set up and ready-to-go on almost every table (like Connect Four). I think that's great for people who come in pairs/groups. I also liked that there's a section on the front counter that introduces the members of the team, and the baristas' favorites are displayed. That made things feel more personable. The record cover wall is also a cute touch. Great taste. The cafe was clean, service was prompt & friendly, & my drink was made pretty quickly. There are snacks like muffins & brownies available. As far as my order goes, mango's my favorite fruit, so I had to try the mango cream matcha. I got it with almond milk & paid about $11 (including the tip). It was so pretty, I had to post it on my Instagram story. I got a lot of questions about it, lol. Flavor-wise, the matcha tasted a little differently than I expected. I enjoyed it & finished the whole thing, but I expected a bit of a more bold matcha flavor to cut through the sweetness of the mango syrup. However! I do plan to return & try another flavor. Kohi is hands down one of my favorite coffee spots! They have such a great variety of drinks, whether you're in the mood for coffee or matcha. My go-to is the Mazapán Latte. As a Mexican, I especially love it because it tastes just like the classic candy and is so unique! If you're a matcha lover, you have to try the Banana Cream Matcha, it's so creamy and delicious. Their food is just as good too! I highly recommend the Ciabatta Sandwich... it's absolutely DELICIOUS. The atmosphere is always warm the employees are ALWAYS SO welcoming! they always have great music playing, and it's the perfect place to catch up with a friend, get some work done, or just enjoy a relaxing morning. Literally stumbled across this coffee shop and I'm so glad I did. First of all the service it awesome. Obviously being my first time here, I didn't know anything about the menu. The lady behind the counter gave me plenty of time to look at the menu and also answered my questions about the different items. When I finally decided on what I wanted, she made a suggestion which turned out to be perfect for my drink. They have a little display with some pastries and they look absolutely delicious. My first time coming here, and I had a great experience. The employees were very welcoming, and the atmosphere was chill. The young lady with the pink hair who took my order was friendly and helpful. I originally wanted the Banana Cream Matcha, but they had unfortunately run out. Instead, I ordered the Black Sesame Matcha. It was definitely a unique flavor, but I didn't really taste much of the sesame. To me..it tasted more like coffee and cream. It was still good, just not what I expected from a "sesame flavored" drink. Would I come back? Absolutely! I was very excited to try this place after they had opened the location in Decatur. I never got an opportunity to try it, so it's nice having a location closer to me. The space inside is well kept and neat. I do like the sunlight coming in from the front store window. It is a smaller space, but can still host smaller crowds with the multiple tables that they have set up. If you plan on studying, they do have outlets along the wall at a few of the tables. There is also a vending machine with snacks and a small claw machine in the corner with a shelf full of games next to it as well. I was there for a while, and it doesn't tend to get crowded. It can get a little noisy with the music and the blenders, but nothing extra or unexpected. Ordering was fairly easy and they do have a good mix of options of coffee and matcha. I was also helped with questions regarding the drinks, which I always appreciate. I ordered a large (20 oz) shaken cookie dough espresso with regular milk. It was honestly very good. It tasted like cookies without being overly sweetened or watered down by milk. This makes me look forward to trying other drinks that they have to offer. Other things to note is that they do take their time with the drinks, especially the matcha from what I noticed by making sure it is frothed fully. It's reassuring knowing that effort goes into the drinks because of how they are priced. A 16 oz drink starts at $7 for lattes and $8 for matcha (unless the standard latte at $7). I do think that the pricing can be revised considering what other cafes offer. I would come back to try other drinks and possibly taking a look at the food that they also serve. read more

The coffee here runs very sweet, but I appreciate the barista remaking my drink to lessen the sweetness! I ordered a banana cream coffee and the flavor was good, however it was definitely on the milkier side and halfway through it began to taste mostly like milk vs coffee. The inside is cute, however it is pretty small with limited tables and seating. Not a good place to sit down with your laptop or try to read as it is very loud and the sound echoes. Probably won't be frequenting this place often as I prefer my coffee to taste more like coffee as opposed to milk or sugar. My daughter and I just left here. The place is super cute. Everyone was friendly and they also have games you can sit and play while enjoying your drink. As for the drink I messed up and mixed the strawberry with the sesame and it wasn't great. The sesame foam was phenomenal though I think it was the mixture of the two. New Place. My choice for the adventure. My brother ordered a banana latte (bananacino, something like that) w/oatmilk and he didn't like it, said it just tasted like coffee, not sweet, no banana--He let it sit for a while and said its ok--but wouldn't come back. I told the girl I am Vegan so I can't have dairy but would like a sweet drink--she named some that could be made vegan and I settled in on Toasted Caramallow with Oatmilk-No cold foam It tasted great but there are marshmallows! Those are not even Vegetarian :( I don't eat meat. Ugh. Just a refresher course on what a Vegan is would probably be best. So, Brother and decided to leave it on the 2nd chance list--They had a diverse selection of drinks and so basically when the die says to come back, we will--but neither of us will choose to do so on our own. We also were not told about cup sizes, I assumed they had 1 size and so I ordered what I saw on the counter, $18 for 2 small sizes but they ended up giving the next woman in line a larger cup but my brother even said, $18 for 2 small, what is 2 large, $40? so maybe smaller is better for my budget....
