Found this adorable restaurant/food shop on my travels. My husband & I do enjoy Vietnamese Pho after having it in Vietnam. We are always in search of this soup and as authentic as possible. It's flavors are based on many things starting with a good bone broth which comes from marrow rich bones being cooked for a day or two. I make it at home but it's like sauerbraten (sorry to change countries) it takes time to get that flavor right. We found this restaurant to be authentic and delicious. Also, it's fun to shop in the adjoining store for authentic Vietnamese ingredients!!! Also they have a bubble tea bar!!!! Go get some! I'm thinking family owned, and they are darling people.

This restaurant is in an Asian store. Like 7 table seating. It was raining today so pho soup I must have. It's like a family runs it. 2 old lady and the man who does the cashier part of the store. They were quick in bringing the food. The soup was really good. I had a medium size and pork spring rolls. I feel like It need more broth though. It definitely filled me up! It's the first one I tried in Brunswick. My top place of Pho soup is Cali, Seattle, NY and believe it or not Duluth MN.

I was not excepting this place to have the best Pho! It is amazing. I brought my friend here for my 3rd visit, he's from Korea and has traveled all around the world. He LOVES it! He said it's the best Pho he's had.

Pho #1 is owned by a friendly Chinese couple and the restaurant is connected to their little Asian market. I did not think I was going to be able to find an Asian market anywhere in Brunswick so I splurged and bought all of my favorite childhood snacks including shrimp chips, butter coconut cookies and grass jelly drinks. I also ordered food for take-out and while I enjoyed the meal, I was not thrilled with the dim sum. - Chicken lemongrass vermicelli: Yummy!! The chicken was delicious and the portion was large enough for two meals for me. - Shumai: Definitely not the kind you find in a dim sum restaurant. The shumai tasted like they were just steamed from a frozen pack. I don't know about their other dim sum, but I was quite disappointed with the shumai.

The owner is very friendly but the Pho is unfortunately the worst I've ever had (I've had pho more times than I count across more than 7 different states) and our experience, aside from our interaction with the owner, was subpar. To start, the restaurant itself is very hot, no AC, just fans. The walls and tables were dirty and greasy. Looks like a hole in the wall place, which gave me hope that the pho would taste authentic but I was severely mistaken. Also, because of the no AC they had the doors open which led to flies landing on our food and water as well as being splashed by the pouring rain coming into the restaurant. Our waitress did not pay much attention to us and when asking her the difference between some of the pho options she said "I don't know because there's nothing on the menu that I like" LOL she also complained that the owner was "cheap" when explaining that they don't have an ice machine and she would have to crush up ice in a towel using a hammer. Anyway, my husband and I were willing to overlook all of this if the Pho was worth it. We both got the Pho Bo (beef noodle soup) and he got his spicy. If you've never had authentic pho, you might like it. However, if you've have good Pho before, you will most likely not enjoy this. It was the blandest greasiest broth I had ever had. It didn't even taste like pho. At all the pho restaurants I've ever been to, they provide extra garnishes like lime, jalapeño, bean sprouts etc. We did not get anything other than the limes I asked for my water because they didn't have lemon. They didn't even give us spoons for the broth, I had to ask for them. Both my husband and I ate less than half of our small bowls before we decided to just leave. It's a shame because the owner is incredibly friendly but we will not be returning.

It's definitely more of a small, family-run spot than a trendy restaurant, but that's part of the charm. The service is great and they cook everything fresh. The place was…read moreslow with one other table with customers, We were greeted by our server and ordered promptly. We chose the Pad See Ew with pork and Basil Ground Pork and egg. The food came out piping hot and fresh. Both dishes were tasty and reasonably nice portions. The Pad See Ew did not have a lot of pork, however it was fresh and good flavor. I ordered medium spicy and it came out perfect. The Basil ground pork dish had a lot of green beans and not much of the basil flavor I expected but it was fresh and flavorful. I would probably hold the green beans next time but that's my preference. Overall, everything was very good and hit the spot. I would like to try some other dishes next visit. I would give it a strong 4.2 if I could rate in between 4 and 5. Also note our service was excellent and the server made numerous visits to check on us. Thanks

Pair it with the cheapest quality of rice on the market (Uncle Ben?). Call it Panang curry. I had to throw it away, and for me to throw away food it must be absolutely stomach-turning. The young lady at the register had a slight accent, and in order to do pleasant small talk I asked her where she was from, having an accent myself. I thought we may be from the same country. She said she could not reveal private information. That was absolutely weird, also considering that customers receipts, including their signatures and how much they tipped, are pasted by the register. An absolute and far more serious violation of customers' privacy. But, if we stick to the food only, it's an absolutely must avoid. Minus 10 stars. That bad and worse.

The edamame seemed as though it had been cooked earlier and simply reheated before being served. The sushi rolls appeared hastily assembled, and the avocado was overly mushy. The spicy tuna roll was unusual, consisting of plain tuna with sriracha drizzled on top rather than a traditional spicy tuna mixture. The California roll was generic and forgettable. The Philly roll was the best item we tried, but the smoked salmon tasted as though it may not have been at its freshest. My husband had been wanting to try this place for a while, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, and we felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. The menu is unique and thoughtfully curated, but they were kind enough to make an off-menu lemon butter penne for our daughter, which she happily devoured. My husband and I shared the whole fried branzino, and it was the star of the meal...perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside, and incredibly fresh. We paired it with a Caesar salad, which was simple and delicious. For drinks, I enjoyed a refreshing rosé while my husband ordered the Blood Orange Martini. Both were excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. The highlight of the evening, though, was our server, James. He brought such fun, positive energy to the table. We joked around with him throughout the night, and every time he stopped by to check on us, we found ourselves laughing. Service like that makes a great meal even more memorable. If you're looking for a romantic dinner spot with exceptional food, creative cocktails, and genuinely outstanding service, Sunday Sunday is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.
