It was a quiet, unassuming place, with great service, excellent prices, and superb food! We had the beef Pho with lean beef, spring rolls, and Bún Thịt Nướng Chị Tuyên - vermicelli with pork and vegetables, which was the superstar of the dinner. It included fried spring rolls, which were amazing. The pho was excellent, and the spring rolls (not fried) made this a perfect dinner. They brought us ice and two extra glasses for the wine we brought. With good prices, great service, and delicious food, we asked ourselves why this restaurant wasn't more crowded. This place was pretty standard overall, but still a solid experience. I liked that there was a generous amount of meat given. The broth was clean, rich in umami, and really delicious. I did notice that they don't give a lot of bean sprouts and other add-ins. The platter we were given was quite small, which might be because not everyone uses those extras. It was enough for 1 person but maybe not for 2 (there were 2 of us), but compared to other places that are more generous with sides, that was something I noticed. I'm a returning customer and have been here plenty of times, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I ordered the fried shrimp roll but was given a completely different roll with peanut sauce. When I asked if it could be exchanged since it wasn't what I ordered, I was told there were no refunds or exchanges once the order was received. I understand having policies in place, but I don't understand why an incorrect order couldn't simply be corrected. What made it worse was the back-and-forth over something that could have been resolved so easily. I'm spending my money here, and as a returning customer, I expected better customer service. There is also an automatic 20% service charge, which customers should be aware of before ordering. Always walked by as it is located on outskirts of Chinatown. Decided to give it a try. Went in at 5pm on Monday night. We were the only ones eating in but the kitchen was constantly bringing out to go orders with frequent pick ups. Comfortable seats in nice a/c. Ordered bun and broken rice with beef spring rolls. Amazing broth! Good amount of shrimp in Pho. The summer rolls were fresh and of course the peanut sauce hit. I had shrimp and my mom had chicken pho. It is a different broth. I've seen same broths whatever you eat and this is not the case here. Rich deep broth. Plenty of veggie garnish. Of course I'd want more hoisin/hot mix (it's extra $$) and I'll know from now on. Pho 20 has delicious pho and vermicelli! I recently discovered their bun bo hue and it's become one of my favorite items they serve. It has sliced beef, pigs feet, and Vietnamese ham. The soup is flavorful and deep, definitely tastes like it's been boiled for hours. It's got a good amount of heat but not unbearably spicy. The noodles are different from pho noodles. They're thicker and round. Don't forget to squeeze in the lime & top with bean sprouts and basil. I would highly recommend this if you're in the area craving for some good BBH or want to switch it up from typical pho. Otherwise, they have great options on the menu too! The food here is ok and the service is ok but there are a few issues. - We ordered summer rolls but were not given any plates to eat them on, so pieces of lettuce and rice noodles were just falling onto the table as we ate the summer rolls. - I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (Special Pho) which did not come with the plate of lettuce, mint, lime slices, and bean sprouts as I am used to. That was fine as a plate of lettuce came with my boyfriend's meal. The lettuce wasn't washed very well though and there as some dirt on it. - As is often the case as Vietnamese restaurant, my pho came with green onion even though I specifically asked for it with no onion, so I had to pick all the onion out. The waitress even said "Special Pho with no onions" as she set it down. I don't know what to do. Do I have to say, "No green onions" or "No scallions"? - The soup was not very hot, so the slices of rare beef did not get cooked enough. I had to take some hot water from my boyfriend's meal to pour on the sliced rare beef to cook them. By the way, I got only two slices of the rare beef. read more

This place has got really tasty pho. Their food is authentic and has great flavor. Their portion size for the price is also awesome too! A big bowl of noodles for $12.50 (without tax and tip). I ordered pho tai (I only like to eat lean meats so this is a good option if that's what you're into). It's vermicelli noodles with flank steak slices, scallions, and onion, all in a delicious broth. Pho usually comes with a side of bean sprouts, jalapeños, and limes. When I get my pho, I put the bean sprouts in first to let them cook a bit in the soup and I squeeze a bit of lime but I leave out the jalapeños since I'm not into spicy foods. Some people also add sirracha into the pho too. But basically I let it sit for a minute or two so the meat and bean sprouts cook then I mix it all up and slurp away. The service is also good too. They are attentive and get to you quickly. The food also comes out super fast! Usually when I go, it's never super packed so you'll most likely be seated immediately. I love coming here! We usually climb over at Movement Callowhill and work up a big appetite to nosh at Pho 20. The owners are so sweet and friendly, they know we come in and order shrimp summer rolls (the cold rice paper rolls with lettuce and noodles) along with my FAVE: the BBQ tofu banh mi. There has only been one time I came for the banh mi and it was not available - thank goodness! The food is always consistent, quick, yummy, and made fresh! My little one requests Pho 20 regularly, and while she is not currently employed to help with the tab, she does finish her food with a big smile on her face! It's a cute little place on the corner of Vine and 10th street, as you enter Chinatown from Callowhill. There's plenty of space for a table or booth, so we haven't ever had a wait. read more

Great prices for the quality food you get. I come from Maryland and there is no good authentic Vietnamese food compared to here in Philly. The summer rolls were made just like how my mom makes it and the peanut sauce is on point. I finally came here after hearing about this place for works lordieee The pho was solid, but I was going for something spicier and with more body, so I got the bun bo hue. It was pretty yummy, they gave a lot of meat, but it was barely spicy and could have used a bit more stewing since it was lacking a bit of depth. Still very delicious and not bad for Philly!
