Passing through on a road trip and wanted a hot bowl of Pho and decided on Pho 3 Mien. Wow what a wonderful experience. The food is amazing!! The restaurant is not anything fancy but if you know good Pho, most of the best Pho is not in a fancy high rent place. The depth of the broth is so good and you can tell it's not from stock and cooked in house. I would come back in a heartbeat next time I'm near.

The 'appetizer' sandwich. Fresh vegetables. Great bread and awesome marinated meat.

There food is great. Service is good. We discovered this place during COVID via delivery, even though we had driven by it many times. The banh mi sandwiches are amazing. Might be the best under $10 sandwich you can get. Portions are a god size. Central PA has gotten so many good restaurants of different varieties...and this is one of them.

I was staying in the Harrisburg / Hershey area last weekend prior to a wedding and decided to come here for dinner on Saturday. I was a little skeptical of this place but I was craving pho and this place was open later than other places in the area. There doesn't seem to be too much else going on around this area. The restaurant itself has a pretty tight parking lot. Looked like they had both indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty nondescript inside; just a couple tables. I got the Extra Large Pho; I think it was item #1 on the menu. It was $13 and I paid $15.77 with tax and tip included. When the bowl came out, it exceeded my expectations because it looked like a lot of food. I was pretty impressed with the broth; it was pretty rich and fatty in a good way. Definitely better than average IMO. There was a huge block of noodles inside the bowl that took a bit of time to separate. I'm glad they included a lot of noodles, but I thought the noodles were the weakest part cause they became overcooked a bit too quickly. Still enjoyable though. The meats were pretty standard; thin beef and tendon was good but I would've liked the meatballs to be a bit better quality. These aren't huge criticisms though; overall the bowl was very enjoyable. So overall I'm cool with giving out 4 stars for this place. I would've expected pho in this area to be a bit cheaper; if that was the case then it might be 5 stars instead of 4. But no major complaints and I'd recommend based on my visit. The people running the place seemed nice / polite as well.

Good quality Vietnamese takeout in a location that has struggled to keep a restaurant open for more than a couple of years. Pho is good, as are the other Vietnamese specialties on the menu. The restaurant has undergone an ownership change and I don't think the pho broth is quite as good as it was when they opened, but overall you can't really go wrong here.

Decent place for Pho. It was good but not the best I've had. Customer service was good.

My Plate received an abundance of Black Bean Sauce!

Pho 3 a unique style of food for me! We both ordered the Shrimp with Black Bean Sauce! This isn't your normal black bean sauce you get in other Oriental Style cooking it's a looser spicier concoction very enjoyable in taste with unique vegetables! Since this was our first time here and trying Vietnamese Cuisine we kind of searched for something that seemed familiar! The server was pleasant and when we were deciding between a couple of choices she actually help by saying that the shrimp and chicken with Black Bean Sauce is her favorite also! We were not disappointed! Next time out we will try the Pho and maybe a few fried wontons & egg rolls!

We had to drive a friend home from Lancaster to Mechanicsburg after work. We knew we would get there around 8:25. We were expecting them to turn us away since they close at 8. We felt so bad. We asked them if they are still taking customers and they happily welcomed us in. Everyone was very friendly and not once did we feel rushed out. Food was delicious and we definitely will be back (not so close to closing time)!

An accidental find! I was planning to go somewhere else that ended up being closed. So I stumbled upon Pho3, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered my favorites - shrimp spring rolls (4.5 filled, shrimp was a little bland) and Bun Bo Xao Xa (B4) (5+, loved the meat and its sauciness, great portion). Neither were as vegetal as others I've had, which is what I loved about it. The dressing was also very simple and not fishy - I typically find the dressings too fishy for me. While the food was great, what stood out most was the service. I ordered take out, but upon seeing their great outdoor space, I decided to sit outside. The assumed owner brought me water and additional utensils without asking, and another employee checked on me upon returning from a delivery. I recommend this great, little local place! Glad I found it.

Decent soup but not the best. Small portions and the broth is inconsistent in taste.

I haven't quite figured out the different varieties but they are all A-OK in my book, especially on the bread they come with that is direct from Kim Son's stand alone location elsewhere in Harrisburg. I was surfing around one day and came across reviews of Asia Mall over on 13th Street just south of 83. One of the reviews mentioned this bakery and their banh mi sandwiches. I was excited to give the place a try. So one Saturday (8-28-10) I popped over to check out the mall and the bakery. After scoping out the "mall" for a bit, I headed for the bakery. There was a menu in the window that listed about 7 different kinds of banh mi sandwiches...in Vietnamese. I just went on in and figured I'd wing it. There was somewhat of a language barrier, so I never figured out what all the different types of sandwiches included. I was just told "all pork." A customer who was more fluent in English was picking up her own banh mi and suggested I "get the everything." So I did. Watching them make the sandwich I couldn't visually figure out what some of the ingredients were. I figured I'd find out when I got home and ate it. I also picked up a couple of their pastries. I had a cream filled that was quite tasty, and I got my friend an apple and raisin that he said was very good. I got home and dug into my sandwich. The fresh, crisp vegetables hit my palate first. They had a nice crunch and tang, yet were not overly pickled. Next came a depth and richness from the different pork proteins. Then, pow! I got hit with some heat from a slice of green chile. All these flavors were backed by a nice baguette. A nice crunch to the crust and a little softness to the center. I was so glad to have found a spot where I could pick up these tasty sandwiches when the craving struck me. I'm about a third of the way through my sandwich when I really begin to pinpoint just what kinds of pork there are on my roll. First off there is the traditional sliced roast pork that I am used to. But there is something earthy going on here, and I realize it's pate (which I like). After awhile, however, the pate flavor started to become a bit too much. Now into the second half of my sandwich, there is a richness coming through, but too much so. I realize that this is the Vietnamese ham. I've now learned this is called gio lua or cha lua. The taste of the meat was good, but there was way too much fat in it. I'm not being diet-conscience here. I use lard when cooking Mexican, liberally slather mayo on my sandwich bread, and, really enjoy fois gras. I realize that it is the ham, not the pate, that is overpowering the sandwich. At one point a slice of the ham fell out of the banh mi and onto my plate and it was nothing but fat. Not all of the ham was like that, but that was a turn off. In the future I don't think I'll be ordering the ham on my sandwich. I don't know if they have the meatball version of the sandwich which is also common. I now know this is called banh mi xíu mi, so I'll have to check the menu next time I go. And I'll definitely go back there again armed with a little more knowledge about what I'm ordering. Sandwiches are only $3 each, so at that price it's certainly affordable to try different combinations of meats (and tofu if they have it). For now, I'm going to have to give this place 3.5 stars due to the fattiness of the "ham." Hopefully I'll be giving Kim Son Bakery 4 stars after my next visit because everything else (the rest of the food, friendliness, service, and very reasonable prices) was quite good.

It's in a yellow house and it's actually quite a cute little grocer. A little tight moving around but you can pretty much find quite a selection there, from spices to vegetables to canned goods. We were hoping they had Munik spices from Indonesia; we've not found a place that has this brand yet. *still looking* Some of the boxed items seemed old. I wanted to try this almond agar agar stuff and the boxes were stuck to each other - like the boxes had gotten wet somehow. This is why this place got a 4 star from me. I really didn't like that. Additionally they were light on produce. We also saw sesame balls at the register. No one in Va. makes them right now, and we've not had any for months and months. We saw two hard old ones there at the register. Ew. Just throw those things out! But we did ask the man about them and he said "Come on Wednesday after 3, 4 or 5 pm and we have everything fresh". So maybe I'll be trying to go there again Wednesday or Thursday and see if they have sesame balls or fresh cakes, and see if they have more produce then too. I thought their rice was expensive. $12.95 for a bag of jasmine rice! Kim's is $12.75, and we can get it in Va for $9. Sam's Club here has it for $8 but it's a different brand (Elephant). But my husband said their spices were a lot cheaper than other places. So I guess it all evens out - as long as you don't by the $12.95 bag of rice! LOL
